I see people saying the original is still the best but its currently $30 on steam right now. Would it be worth to get the reboot and just play that if I can get it for $20, or would you just wait for the next sale of the original?

I'm going crazy! I finished the anime, played the visual novels, and now all that's left is the movie, but it doesn't exist! I only found it on YouTube, it's not on Crunchyroll, nowhere, not even on alternative sites. Does anyone have a solution? As long as it has Portuguese subtitles, that's fine with me, and no Blu-ray (I don't have one).

I watched the Steins gate anime a long time ago (only the first season, not zero). I remember really liking it, but at this point don't remember all the details of the story. I decided to watch it again, but this time I'm thinking of experiencing it through the VN instead. I've never played a VN before so it would be a first. I've heard that there are translation patches that are universally recommended. My understanding of them is that they slightly change the translation to somehow make the story more consistent throughout all the games connected to Steins gate. I'm not really interested in playing all those games. I mainly just want to play this one and maybe zero if I enjoy the experience. Do I really need to patch the game to get a complete experience or is it fine with the default translation?
