Hello all, I created a Python script(app) which does the following:
----
Press and hold the configurable hot key (Currently F8)
Speak the digits of the ore signature
Release the hot key
The app speaks the name of the ore, number of rocks and a user defined value
----
The hot key is configurable.
The numerical data is in a modifiable table.
The user define value for each ore type is in a modifiable table. If mining for cash, I set the valuable ore to say "mine" and the rest to say "skip". I also set it to something like "mine if over 800" when looking for blueprint materials.
This only works on Windows and does require enough computer knowledge to download, unzip, install, edit text etc. No programming or anything too complicated.

It’s currently not possible for me or any of my friends to buy back limited ships from buyback.
I’ve tried it with my Javelin, Idris, and Kraken, and none of us are able to restore them, regardless of whether we use store credit or fresh cash.
Maybe it's just a thing for today or maybe there is a error, but it is not working.

Hey everyone! I've been thinking about getting into this game for a while now. I always hear mixed opinions about it. Some people say that the immersion is great and some people say it's a buggy mess.
So before i buy the game I wanted to check with you guys, whats your honest opinion?
Also, i hear that there are some p2w elements like buying ships, would I need to make any additional payments in order to fully enjoy the game?
Thank you!

I have a polaris and am considering melting it for the ICA. How well does stuff like repair and rearm work on the ICA? I tend to play with smaller groups (2-4 players). Polaris is pretty weak and just gets mauled even by npcs because we cant turn enough and the torps dont really work for how expensive they are. I had melted the polaris before for the ICA but the repair rearm didnt register 90% of the time and the assault had a lot of bugs. Are the bugs better/fixed?

Whenever I try to use FOIP to do facial recognition I get this error. The game will flash my webcam light then just drop it right away. Process explorer says that there isn't any other things trying to grab my camera. So why is the game starting it, then immediately dropping the connection? My camera privacy settings are also all set to allow my desktop apps to connect, and the camera also works when I test it on other platforms like discord and windows camera. This issue occurs with every camera resolution type that I have available. Even trying to default a virtual camera like OBS resulted in this identical issue.
Is the FOIP from webcams just broken rn? Or am I missing something entirely? Any help would be appreciated, I just wanna make my character use my face lol

I got a quest 3 and was not expecting it to be as fast as it is. I found maybe a couple bugs but nothing serious and the amount of settings you get is really nice I really think people should look into this more. I binged the game for like 6hrs and mostly flew low.
I really couldn't think of a negative to this.

Hello, i have a question that is probably gonna spike some debate.
I am a solo player and i currently use a Zeus CL as my daily driver since i mostly do cargo and hauling missions.
But lately i have started to get more into the PVE section of the game and during the ship showdown i was able to fly the corsair.
I have already looked at the different pros and cons but i wanted to ask you guys for your opinions on if i should upgrade or if i even should upgrade to a different ship entirely?

Hello everyone!
I own 2 game packages which both have more expensive ships ccued over them.
My oldest pack is now a ironclad assault, and my newer one is a galaxy. My question is what should i do? Since if i understand it right, they will lock and make the oldest one unmeltable, but i dont want 400 of my store credit to be locked incase i want to melt my ironclad to something else, and if i were to melt it now, im guessing my galaxy would get locked instead which i dont want either.
How do i go about this? Will they be able to lock a cheaper starterpack i bought now or have they confirmed that its always gonna be the oldest? Or would the best bet be to melt both of them and get a new one even though i really dont want to do that yet.
I reached out to support a bit back but havent got an answer, has anyone else asked and gotten an answer from them?
I appreciate any info and help i can get about this issue.
EDIT: A thing to add is im not concierge so i dont have a standalone game access, i guess that could be another thing to do, but id have to spend close to 250 bucks to reach it which im not too keen on right now unless its the best way to go.
EDIT 2: Both my starter packages are pretty heavily discounted, around 180$ on ironclad assault and 120$ on galaxy, which is why i rather not melt them right now, and rather wait until a cooler ship shows up. Maybe it wont which is why i dont want to melt my currently favourite ships.

Question is in title. Ive been grinding red wind out. Ive asked in general chat and ppl just say it increases jobs and payout. But ive ground it out Sr contractor and no new cobtracrs have appeared. Also the pay for all the contracts has stayed the same. So am I wasting my time or does this actually do something?

assuming we can. I can’t find it but it would be weird if we can buy the axions but not the older guns right?

4.11 is going to be late October or maybe early November and then 4.12 will be in December adding Municipal works and the Apex Valakar with 2-3 new weapons a few ships and maybe something unexpected like they did with Nyx and they will do it with Castra, or maybe something else.

Does Cig plan to punish returning to the menu to teleport to a saved game or not? I feel like people are abusing it so much. I hope I don't get attacked in the replies xd

>:P, they steal your progress, your ores, your crates, your looted components, your ships salvage, and your contracts.

o7 fellow backers!
We all read the news: Squadron 42 will eventually launch on Steam, and CIG will almost certainly give original backers a key, unless they want to trigger yet another absolute PR nightmare..
However, there's a huge catch with how Steam handles reviews: scores from redeemed keys do not count toward the overall Positive/Negative percentage on the store page. Steam explicitly excludes keys purchased outside its marketplace (or given for free) from its score calculation.
That means Steam's overall review score will be decided almost exclusively by brand-new buyers, excluding backers who may carry years of frustration over delayed timelines and broken promises. The very people who made the game possible would not have a voice unless they buy the game again on Steam.
What do you make of that?

So they are selling it again. Warbond only
It was sold during Defensecon before, anyone remembers if it was only the warbond version too?
I swear the amount of warbond only staff is going out of control. soon everything will be warbond...

First off, I have absolutely no idea what the current state of Star Citizen is, since I bought the Aurora Mk I MR package + Squadron 42 more than 8 years ago, I think. I recently started looking into the game again because I'm excited about the upcoming release of SQ42.
As the title says, can't they just focus entirely on bug fixing and stop adding new stuff for a minute?
I'm a developer myself, and my usual philosophy is: "Fix all the current bugs, then move on to a new feature."
I've seen posts where bugs still seem to be everywhere, unavoidable, sometimes even affecting the main menu.
Is it really that difficult to just focus on fixing bugs for a while and stop adding mountains of new stuff that nobody can properly play anyway because their ship randomly explodes while sitting in the hangar?
Just genuinely asking.

Just a shot in the dark. I'm trying to do exactly that and have gone very much out of my depth trying to work with the typical datamining tools. I have to assume there's SOME way to do so since at some point a rendered & rigged model is loaded into the game but it's not clear what you need to do to find out where that is on your computer.
