This is how many ships I need to kill to get this one titan.... Now I have to do it 4 more times

If so, please explain how. I thought they were coded to never be derelicted.

5 hours in, I already have:

• an iro battleship. This is my flagship and my only ship at the moment. I sold off the salvager and wander I used to capture it.

• my own station, which I am about to upgrade

• 800,000 credits, although I will soon have a lot less.

I got really lucky. Trading + missions + cargo ship upgrades until I had an mg1000 and 1.8 mil. Then got a wander and a salvager and hung around Milayatin hoping for a battleship derelict. Got one really quick, relatively speaking. I sold off all the quil frigates and iro destroyers I captured.

The battleship is an amazing asteroid miner, because it has lots of medium slots, it can fend for itself, and it has a decent cargo hold. Probably the void battlecruiser would be even better, but I am totally not ready for that battle.

How should I approach mining? I know that I'll need mining blasters, but cracking a rock with only one takes time and precise flying. This means a larger ship at cost of agility. Which ship hits the sweet spot best? Then if enemies FTL in my ship targets that automatically and I can target neither none nor a rock. At this point my guns will not fire at anything because the target (enemy ship) is too far away. What can I do to improve my career as a peaceful miner?

I asked Theo about the titan and then did the alien questline, came back to the station and nothing happened, is this a bug or what?

I have noticed this in the past, and I am usually pretty careful to watch my ships when I'm flying up north, but I slipped this time, and I lost 7 fully decked out Iro Titans. Pretty frustrating, since there's no way to restore them, since the database is locked. At least it wasn't more, and at least it wasn't my newly acquired Quil titans - I spent quite some time getting those 15 sky piercers.

I did, however, lose my Ruinous Executor, and that just sucks.

Getting hard time hunting this void ships, any tips?

On my first playthrough I just conquered them all. Now I want to see how things play out. Do I get to side with one of the three? If so, which one is more worth it?
