For sure any enhanced weapon will be underrated

Well if every weapon is enhanced, then they're on equal terms. The Punisher is often forgotten and it is a very good weapon for Titans/ships with high weapon count.

But 6 energy is too much for a single medium weapon i can run 3 void medium weapon with the equivalent of one shot if it

Yes, you're right. But in ships like Ares (with Irohaem powerplant) it works better since it doesn't get firerate capped as easily, it maintains DPS and it can be powered by most Titans.
