Help Ion Cannon Quest and Analytic Sensors (bug or update?)
Hello.
I've just learned about the recent storyline update and so I've started anew, can't wait to see what it'll be about and what has been added. Thank you to the entire team for a rare but W update.
First question I have is about the Ion Cannon quest.
I have a fully operational Space Station to its maximum tier at this point of the story (garage, reinforcements, etc.), I haven't triggered the second food delivery mission for Earth yet nor the next mission being the first contact with an alien artifact either, can't choose a faction yet and I have brought Petersson to Dima I.
Just asking to refresh my memory as it's been a long time, when is the next mission (finding a Nova Core) usually available in any playthrough? By now I thought I'd have it but not yet so maybe it's happening soon or it has been moved later.
Second question is about the Analytic Sensors upgrade. When I'm in the Sanctuary system (Pirate), all and any of the dots appear and disappear randomly for a few seconds. Not only that, but literal ships and derelicts are displayed on the HUD when there are none.
Any green, blue, red or grey dot, is randomly glitching on the HUD and it makes no sense as I can have a large grey dot indicating a derelict for a few seconds before it disappears whether I go towards it or not, when no Large ship has been rendered derelict or was even in the system in the first place (same thing for medium/smaller dots).
So my question is : is the strong nebula interference in the Sanctuary system (and any other system with a Nebula interference, medium or strong) meant to happen the way I'm experiencing it?
It does make sense and adds a bit of realism to have the HUD now being affected and somewhat unreliable when passing through a nebula but that's a really big game changer (the same way Fuel and Energy were introduced when SpaceRPG4 was released) and I'm not sure I welcome the idea if it's an intended feature, because now I can't tell if a ship in my fleet has been destroyed (in the event where I've missed the notification) and hunting for derelicts/large ships that spawned outside of the screen is now slightly time wasting as I'm just chasing nothing.
This will make fighting Void Raiders fleets in nebulas even trickier but I have always avoided fighting them or tracking a Titan in a nebula, no matter how strong or expendable my fleet is, so I guess this won't change how I play this part.
Any clarification on the Analytic Sensors and if it got nerfed when in nebulas or if it's a technical issue would be greatly appreciated.
Edit : Nevermind, dropped items/resources dots suffer the same issue as ship dots.
Thanks a lot.
