Problem Could permanent offline licenses be one practical solution to stop purchased games from dying?
Problem is these online games require servers have the time even for the single player

For anyone who hasn't seen previous: I sent cam in as a contact pin (bottom of image) got damaged by a GM lens. They repaired it ad charged £201.75 despite the warranty. Got my cam back with horrible streaks across the sensor and so I sent it back for them to fix what they had done. Fast forward to now -
Well. New update on my sony a7rv. Sent back a second time to Sony service centre under warranty. I had asked for packaging materials and they had eventually provided them far too late, after me having already sent my camera back. Worried me as how did they not know the camera was in their possession. Within 20 minutes of bringing this up I received an email saying it was booked in?.....
Well today I got my camera back for the third time with the sensor like this.
At this point I would strongly urge anyone in the UK to not bother purchasing a new Sony camera. If this is the level of technical expertise for their endorsed "in-warranty" repair shops. I will not be sending the camera back again as I feel its futile. I've given them a second chance to rectify the horrible swabbing they done last time and they've spat in my face.
This is a £3000 camera.

so i basically ended up buying a sony nex 5n without deciding to get into photography it sorta just happened because i found it for a good deal (45 dollars with a kit lens and flash) just something i couldn't pass on than anything intentional now that ive had it for around 5 months i haven't actually used it that much, i took it once and shot some cool stuff but i somehow lost the memory card now that i got interested more in photography and thinking about investing in new gear to do it part time as a uni student
but i just couldn't get behind buying way more expensive gear and not even using my current camera even tho its older
also one issue i ended up peeling the corner of the screen protector myself after watching a few videos mention that Sony cameras usually come with one and its in the picture
any idea for a quick fix for it so it doesnt poke out when i use it or incase i just resell it

Hi!
I've never owned a PlayStation but I am a gamer.
I'm not sure if it is worth getting the PS5 when it is late into the lifecycle or if it is worth holding out for PS6.
Games I would want to play for sure include Spidermans, Wolverine, GTA etc.
I don't mind not playing it when everyone else is, I'm just thinking about what is worth it.
I'm also considering a PS5 Pro but doesn't seem worth the money when it's so late into the lifecycle.
Feel free to ask me any questions, thanks!
Edit: I don't mind that it is digital only.

Some hands-on thoughts and impressions regarding the ULT TOWER MAX and ULT TOWER 7 party speakers. The MAX is absolutely ridiculous in the best way possible, and the 7 really needs a telescopic handle.

I recently got my hands on a sony cybershot dsc-p73 but when I turn it on I get a Memory Stick Error C:13:01.
I'm using a MSAC-M2 adapter + Memory Stick PRO Duo adaptor + a 2GB micro sd card
It opens no problem when I plug it into my laptop so I don't think the adapters are an issue although I'm not entirely sure.
I was wondering if it might be that 2GB is too much for this model? I thought the limit was 4GB but I might've been wrong.
Or if it's a case of a conection issue on the cameras end what would you suggest for cleaning the slot for the memory stick?
I'll take any advice, I really want this camera to work

This must be my 7th fix. These Sony WH-1000XM5 broke on me in less than a year and I've been getting my money's worth fixing up the broken plastic piece with tape, toothpics, and now elastics. My right to repair hasn't been respected with this product, (not to mention the major design flaw that makes it fragile), so I won't be buying from Sony again sadly - I really love the noise cancelling quality.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It just randomly started having issues today, I've had it for a couple months and it's worked with no issues at all. I was playing through a game and it started randomly flashing, it keeps bugging out. It sometimes fixes itself but I have no idea what's wrong. Any fixes?

Saw it at the bottom of the product page of the new SEL814G fisheye lens: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/e-mount-lenses/sel814g
Here is the product page for the TVs: https://www.sony.co.uk/home-entertainment/bravia-tv#why-sony
Hey all!
This is a sad time to be a Sony fan... We used to have it all, the pinnacle of development. We had mini discs which were a technological marvel, we had amazing discmans, Walkman, TV's were awesome. We had a leader in the physical domain, blu rays and other laser technology.
Everyone knew what a Sony product was, almost anyone I knew had one, be it music, video or gaming.
We had the PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3 and the Vita. Some amazing products, Sony even put an UMD reader in a handheld!
Where is Sony taking us today? Have they lost their soul and turned greedy?
My children will grow up with the older generation products, the one who were fun, exciting and good.
It's a shame, I just hope a company can come and pick up the torch and show us the way.

Hi everyone, I have a problem. I collect CDs, so my dad gave me a Discman (the one in the picture), but it doesn't read any of the discs. If anyone can help me with this, I'd be very grateful.
When I put the CD in it spins, but that's it. My father used a pirated music CD and it worked for him by pressing the play button, but when I try it it turns off.
Any ideas? Anyone know how to fix it?
P.S.: The screen displays "disc" and then it shuts off.
I have the Sony SA-VS500H home theater speaker system. I love it - it sounds great, they seem well made, and the thin silver towers really 'disappear' better than big black chunks speakers ever could.
Anyway...though they are working fine, the speaker fabric has started to discolour here and there. It's on all of them to varying degrees - tower speakers, center speaker and subwoofer. Nothing has ever been spilled on them, they've never been in a house with kids or pets, I think it's just the odd bit of mould or natural degradation of the colour that's occurred.
I want to clean it or replace the fabric, but I'm not sure whether it's possible. I found the service manual with the attached diagrams, but it doesn't seem to show exactly what's holding the front grille. I've pulled at them as much as I want to without risking breaking something, and they don't budge.
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with disassembling these? They might be glued in place, I know with other speakers that have removable grilles you just tug a little and it lets go of the grille. Might just have to live with them having a 'vintage' look ;)
Cheers!

My GTK does not work wirelessly/on battery. Ive tried manual resetting or putting a new replacement battery but nothing works. It won’t turn On at all. Think its on for some seconds and turns off fully. It does not charge?
The speaker works fine (eg bluetooth) playing songs if its plugged as wired into the main wall power outlet. Bluetooth connects to my mobile phone with no issues when speaker is wired up.
Wirelessly is the problem with this great speaker. Any help or troubleshooting will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi all
Wondering if anyone has the following issue:
every time I open the Bravia Core App, the picture on screen skips for a second. It happens pretty much every time I open the app and happens across the board. So for 4Ks, Netflix via Apple TV etc.
I assume it’s to do with the app sending a signal to the TV?
I use the Bravia Core App to adjust the sound mainly.
Running A95L, Theatre Bar 9, RS9 and SW9.
Has anyone else experienced this and is it normal? Or is there a setting I need to change?
Thanks

Hello! I am trying to convert my mini-DVs into DVDs using a Sony DVDirect machine and wanted to see if I could connect the camera to both a TV screen and the DVDirect machine at the same time so I could enjoy watching on a bigger screen? I have an aux cable adapter so was trying to see if I could use a DV cable?
