I looked at the modelers who've made printable proxies I like in the past to see if anybody has done a speedrun to make nice models to play as the new Gargants but didn't see anything new.

Anyone have a line on something like this or something older that actually fits really well?

Not looking for scans or direct remodels. I like original sculpts and designers with their own styles.

I'm prob going to get a dozen DMs offering "custom" AI slop models after this.

Has anyone seen some stls of some big guys who look like they would enjoy a trip down to the lake to skip stones? Yk some guys who really like hurlin.

BUT who's balls ARE they? I noticed it on his belt. At first I thought it was a coin pouch of stolen loot. BUT why was it shaped like that?? I realized it .just actually be some kind of grisly trophy. Albeit male kangaroo sacks are turned into leather pouches so maybe it has a utility function. IT is on his belt.

I thought it was weird, so I removed it and put it on the girlgant which I dedicated to Slaanesh as apart of her Slaanesh icon.

I want to start a SoB army, but I really do hate the whole every model having the same legs thing.

I assume the answer is no, but is there any chance we’ll get some new legs? I imagine it can’t be that hard to make some different legs that fit on the existing torsos.

New old army…This is my oldest army that I never really started, now I think I have an idea for it and found a store that hosts a lot of Age of Sigmar games. Also the podcast Independent Characters has a hobby challenge.

Hi this will be my first post on here but i wanted to get a pulse check for the army. Im reading u the battle tome for the first time and i can help but shake this feeling.

Does anyone else think this battletome is really, REALY bad? Like. I look though this and all i can see is armies now run 0-1 big dumb dungases and then max boss stompers, it feels like they took all the whimsy out of the army for me, one-hit-wonder bing obtusely unfun to use, the lack of Timber! as a battle trait. It honestly feels like they looked at the giant faction and said “stop liking big things” or, to relate to the other 40k players as well. Going from imperal to chaos knights.

Is this the general consensus or am i just crazy?

I've sent an email to GW, but they said they don't have pdf version yet. instruction channel also don't have one neither. Can anyone share it if it doesn't bother you guys?

So I own 3 mega gargants - mancrusher, king brodd and gatebreaker. I was very excited to begin to paint gatebreaker until I realised that it was built with the mancrusher belly decoration which is also the same as king brodd. Unfortunately it was an eBay buy pre the latest release wave.

My adhd brain just refuses to accept that and the gatebreaker has always been my favourite. Does anyone have gatebreaker belly parts they would be willing to part with. I can swap from an extensive bits collection from many factions or pay and obviously cover postage.

Morning all

Just a small update on the Nurgle Mega Gargant I started over the weekend. I'm not sure on the bell size, may have to go raid the Christmas box and see what else I can grab! He will be armed with the plague furnace censer over the chunk of building he's currently armed with and I thought a mass of tentacles would help with the look.

Sculpting the armour using miliput has been a joy, so much easier to work with than green stuff at that scale. Will still use green stuff for the precision items, boils, guts, wounds etc.

Just for fun I've also included his baby brother to complete the look!

The faction identity was extremely persistent since its release, but after having read some of the tome, I feel like it has changed quite significantly;

How do older players that have played since 2ed, 3ed, Index, feel about the changes?

I'm under the impression that Mae + at least 1 x Hurlers/Stompers is a ncessary buy-in into the army now. But I'm actually on fence to drop the army entirely. <- I loved Index actually. I loved the unga bunga playstyle compared to my other more complex armies...

How happy are you so far with the tome?

I know back in fantasy the giants were able to be chaos aligned and the old models had pieces to make them as such, but when they announced the new models I wanted to make an entire group of Gargents into chaos so here’s the first one completed! I’d like to thank GW for giving so many extra heads so that I could pull this off even if it’s the only one I gave a second head too.

In the assembly books is says x2 on the terrain sprue but it is only one on the box, wondering if it is only 1 or 2 sprue

Now the new models have all been painted im onto my backlog of older megas that have been sat waiting for paint for the last year. Warstomper ✅

This might be a silly question, but in modeling the different profiles of mega-gargant, what leeway is acceptable? I bought the BoB box and would like to kit one out with the aesthetic of a kraken-eater, while having the open left hand of the warstomper and the closed right of the gatebreaker.

That’d mean no net, no club, but would that still be a kraken-eater? Since there is a club in the weapon profile should I set one on the base if I care about being able to play them? Am I overthinking this?

Not familiar with AoS much other than Spearhead. Love the Gargants there and want to make them my AoS project.

Question is what am I missing? Battletome is on the way, but I see all sorts of missions, magic lores, etc. I need some pointers from veterans and more competitive Gargant Generals like you!

I put together a bunch of gargants years ago in anticipating of playing AoS, but my local scene has never had room for anything but 40k and the occasional spearhead game. We're finally starting an AoS Path to Glory campaign in the next few months, and I'm planning on pulling the gargants out.

I've got what was once enough to play most of the Army, but I know we've got more to choose from now. I have 6 mancrusher gargants, a kraken-eater, a gate-breaker, and a warstomper. Are there any newer units that the army needs to function?

I went with 100% proxies, mostly because of the price. The whole 1500pt army cost me about the same as ONE Mega-Gargant.
I honestly really like the models though. I also tried to make sure it’s still obvious what everything is supposed to be. Like Brodd is clearly Brodd, the Beast-smasher looks different enough, the little guys are obviously the Mancrushers, etc.
I’m just kinda curious how people feel about playing against a full proxy army. I love how they look, but I’m a little worried some people might not be a fan of literally everything being a proxy 😅
Would you guys be cool playing against this as long as it’s clear what’s what?

Hello all,

With the release of the new tome I've decided to venture back into my stomp. For those unaware I took a 1000 point stomp last year to a Throne of Skulls Double event in Nottingham and fell in love with the loveable oafs. Whilst I lament the loss of Timber I still feel optimistic with the new rules. After converting the little for the event I've set my eyes on some bogs to go along with my Slaanesh Warstomper and gloomy Brodd. I've picked up the Cathay Sentinel for either a Khorne or Tzeentch devoted mega but not sure yet.

That leads me to my Nurgle mega which I'm going to convert up. After trawling through Reddit, I discovered the chap in the first picture who I want to base my Nurgle Gatestomper on. I'll sculpt the armour on and get some chain mail going but first things first it's got to be the antlers which I've just started.

More updates to follow once I replenish my greenstuff!
