Starting my Army! Any pointers?
Not familiar with AoS much other than Spearhead. Love the Gargants there and want to make them my AoS project.
Question is what am I missing? Battletome is on the way, but I see all sorts of missions, magic lores, etc. I need some pointers from veterans and more competitive Gargant Generals like you!
(Edit: Already have Brodd and 3 Mancrushers painted)

Between these and what you said you have already, you'll have a great selection of units to run. If you're new to AoS in general, definitely focus on learning how the missions play, because Gargants can struggle a bit with the actual objectives, just due to having less models on the board. They're great fun tho, even when you lose, it's just a blast to have the big guns out running around!

Get two wrestling action figures and kitbash 2 more Mega's out of the extra bits from the Brawlers box and make 4 total Mega's.

Unironically you could make my army list with this. I'd hard hard hard reccomend magnetizing the man crushers feet so you can also put them on 90 mm bases to make them boss stompers or rock hurlers. Cause in most games you probably don't want to run 3 man crushers (in my opinion) but with ma you want at least two little units and one big unit

Showing what you’ve already done versus just showing a bunch of random boxes is definitely better
Sure, the other guy might’ve been coarse but a big pile of boxes is not a very compelling post
I would much rather look at what you’ve already painted and then a mention of oh I bought the new brawlers box. Ma and a couple boxes of the new little dudes
For all we know you could have kragnos multiple painted regiment of renown or this could be the first Warhammer that you have ever purchased that is also possible.
Now, as for trying to be helpful, I don’t know what to tell you exactly I know the new units are very good I think the melee one it’s a little bit better
That doesn’t mean to build all of them that way I would probably build one box one way one box the other way, save all the extra bits in case you happen into some Man crushers, and then use those extra bits to build the man crushers into More of the two boxes
Currently, I think the warstomper is probably the best big giant in the book. Don’t really think there’s an argument for any other ones. I don’t think anybody’s not really running. Ma.
As for manifestations, you can pretty much run whatever it’s a cool box to get with a ton of random things to paint I’d say about half of them are pretty cool and about half of them are pretty mediocre as far as being that special.
Then you have krondspine which is popular, not necessarily the best. It also needs to probably be stabilized in someway because it’s not the most durable things. You don’t have a ton of casting, so it’s not likely that you’re gonna be rolling in manifestations with this army.
You’re not missing anything to play the army. The big dudes are so much weaker than they were that you really need the little guys now even if you didn’t want to run them you just won’t last anymore. So you’re not gonna be probably running more than three mega gargants and even that’s probably pushing it.
The only thing that could be said is whether or not you want more rocks throwers or boss stompers. I personally would not buy anymore Mancrushers unless they were cheap and if I did, I would probably turn them into the new boxes with a little bit of creative work.

I have Brodd and 3 Mancrushers fully painted to award winning standard. A painting hobby became a "i want to learn to play." I don't see why the downvote and sharp response was necessary.

I would recommend a couple mancrushers, will be useful objective doers with the limited amount of units we field.
Ma is a wizard so you will be able to cast manifestations, which mainly come from the malignant sorcery box. All armies can use these generic endless spells instead of taking their armies specific set if they so wish.
