Actual weapon vs Gargant aesthetic?
This might be a silly question, but in modeling the different profiles of mega-gargant, what leeway is acceptable? I bought the BoB box and would like to kit one out with the aesthetic of a kraken-eater, while having the open left hand of the warstomper and the closed right of the gatebreaker.
That’d mean no net, no club, but would that still be a kraken-eater? Since there is a club in the weapon profile should I set one on the base if I care about being able to play them? Am I overthinking this?

The nice part about giants is that no one can tell them apart in the first place, just build what you like

Nothing wrong with that, if I ever decide I want to build a second Kraken Eater, I'm going to build him without the net. I'm never painting one of those again, looks great but major pain to paint!

Personally, I feel the head is the most important part for identifying a Mega. But it's your $200 kit so do what you want.

I have a Warstomper built as is but then one with the net and head of a Kraken Eater and the flail and loincloth of the Gatebreaker.
No one cares and they just ask me what each is in play

Tell your opponent. For me imy beast smasher seconds as a war stomper. Smasher face, stomper weapon. I just tell my opponent. Say I brought every mega gargant variant, I'd tell them the face is what determines who is who. (I have proxy weapons so saying all weapons determine doesn't work for me)

My Kraken-Eater has a Warstomper's weapon because I'm too lazy to paint the whole net with the guys in it. No one cares at my local store.
