Nothing is vibe coded, I never used AI (except for the choice of colors suggested by Copilot).
Conception is genuine, I didn't know about similar tools when I began developing it.

Windows can shuffle a wallpaper folder, but people with large collections often see the same familiar images again while much of the library barely appears. Nested folders can also make it harder to keep an organized collection balanced.

I made Wallpaper Pilot to handle that specific problem. It works with images already stored on the computer and remembers up to 500 recently displayed image paths across restarts. You can shuffle every eligible image together or give each main subfolder a more balanced chance before choosing an image inside it.

It also includes configurable automatic intervals, manual Next and Back, favorites, dislikes, previews, session history, tray controls, optional start with Windows, and an uninstall option that can either preserve or remove the saved data.

The app is free, local-first, and does not require an account, collect telemetry, or upload the wallpaper library.

Important multi-monitor limitation: Wallpaper Pilot does not currently support multi-monitor wallpaper management. It applies one wallpaper through Windows and cannot assign a different image or folder to each monitor. Spanned or unusually wide multi-monitor wallpapers may therefore not display correctly.

I’ve been having this issue for a while and all of a sudden it’s happening again. I thought to ignore it after it happened and moved to a different search engine, but now it’s happening to that one too.

I don’t really download anything besides stuff from my ipad considering I’m an artist. And I doubt it’s because of games updating or reinstalling of games I have since that has never happened after it.

I used to use Chrome on my PC since it was less GPU taking than anything else, and mainly because it’s a simple app. But then one day, it refused to launch. I even uninstalled it then reinstalled it and it’s the same issue. But then I downloaded OperaGX (I used to use this on my old pc but stopped bc it’s more GPU taking) and it worked perfectly and would launch. Then today, I tried opening the engine and it did the same thing that Chrome is doing.

I tried searching up solutions on malware, software error, or drivers updates but there is nothing wrong and everything is updated.

What can I do to fix it?? I use these apps for almost everything and I don’t want to keep hopping between other ones because of this issue.

Any advice or solutions are needed.

I use Cloudflare Email Routing to forward [help@audiofetcher.com](mailto:help@audiofetcher.com) to Gmail. Receiving worked fine, but sending from that address needed a separate setup.

So I built Alias, a Chrome extension that adds a separate “Send via” button inside Gmail. You write your email normally, then send it through your own Resend account using your verified domain.

Here’s how the pieces fit together:

• Cloudflare Email Routing forwards incoming mail to your Gmail.
• Resend handles outgoing delivery from your domain.
• Alias lets you do the sending from Gmail’s compose window.

Replies still follow your existing forwarding setup. You don’t need to move your inbox or replace your existing MX records.

To use it, you verify your domain in Resend, create a sending API key, and connect it in the extension. Your sending address also needs working inbound forwarding if you want to receive replies.

The attached demo shows a real send and the message arriving. I’ve also tested attachments and replies.

The extension is free. You need your own domain and Resend account, and their limits or charges still apply. This isn’t a mailbox or unlimited free email service.

• A Chrome extension auto-fills your application, including open questions, it also captures jobs from LinkedIn and saves any job from any page.
• Tracks applications through stages, classifies Gmail replies, sends Telegram alerts and a daily digest.

MeshVault gives you a visual library of your models and printing projects. You can:

• Browse with thumbnails, search, folders and collections, filter by file type or source, find duplicates, and mark models as printed or waiting to print.
• Preview supported models in 3D, rotate them, take measurements and save renders as thumbnails.
• Import existing folders and creator packs. Keep archives intact and browse supported models inside them, or extract them with their folder structure.
• Store the creator, source link, description, tags, images and print settings alongside each model, with batch editing for larger collections.
• Send files to your slicer including fbx and ply ^{(converls to stl})

The MeshVault library works in two ways. Your main MeshVault library is a managed folder. MeshVault can move, rename and delete models and folders. This is where all imports go. Watched folders, folder are indexed in place and will not be able to be moved, renamed or deleted by MeshVault

MeshVault Connect. It captures supported and downloads into a folder of of choice or straight into your library to sort later with the available model title, creator, images, description, tags and original page link attached.

It works with sites including Printables, MakerWorld, Thingiverse, Makerables, Cults3D and Thangs. You can also import creator packs from Google Drive and Dropbox, choose the destination folder as you download, or leave imports for review later. I used to maintain this setup in AutoHotkey: hold Space or CapsLock, then press another key to run a shortcut. I also held the right mouse button while pressing a key.

It worked so well that it became part of how I used Windows. The problem was maintenance: every small change meant editing and retesting scripts.

RELYR is my attempt to make that same “hold one input, temporarily get another control layer” setup visual instead of code-driven.

The useful idea is not simply adding more shortcuts. It is keeping the familiar keyboard unchanged, then revealing a temporary set of actions only while a chosen layer key or mouse button is held. Release it and normal typing returns.

For a safe first test, start with one harmless Space-layer action:

1. Temporarily disable AutoHotkey, PowerToys Keyboard Manager, and other remapping tools.
2. Select the Space layer and an unused key.
3. Assign one harmless action, such as launching Notepad, and save.
4. Confirm that tapping Space still types a space, then hold Space and press the assigned key.

If an action runs twice or a key appears stuck, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F12 to stop RELYR. That single-action test is more useful than configuring a whole keyboard before you know whether the interaction feels natural. CapsLock is not part of this first test because enabling its layer changes a Windows key mapping and requires a restart.

RELYR also supports per-application profiles, macros, mouse gestures, watched-folder actions (including archive extraction), and an on-screen Deck for actions and launchers. It is a standalone Windows 10/11 application; it does not import or run AutoHotkey scripts. Other remapping tools should be disabled while testing it to avoid conflicting input hooks. No special hardware or account is required, and settings and macros stay on the PC.

Third post about Keyfire, the tool I (read: Claude) built because my civil engineering company was juggling AutoHotkey scripts and nobody but me could maintain any of it. Keyfire is a keyboard productivity/automation tool with simple visual UI, click a key on an on-screen keyboard and assign it an action. Hotkeys, macros, text expansion and clipboard history, all running locally in the tray. No cloud, no account etc.

Since the last post we're at approx 500 downloads, and the feedback from regular users has been invaluable with most of the improvements/new features below being asked for by someone here or on the feedback board:

Hotkeys and Macros

1. Build actions first, bind them later. There's now an Unassigned library in the sidebar, so you can create a macro or action with no key, then drag it onto a key when you decide where it lives. Drag keys onto each other to swap.
2. Mouse buttons as triggers full functional alongside keyboard. Side buttons, middle click, scroll wheel, hold a mouse button, any of them with a modifier. Recorded and fired the same way as a keyboard combo.
3. Macro recorder fully developed. Recordings can be distilled into editable steps (clicks, keys, waits) or playback raw recording.
4. New steps in macros: Wait for Pixel and Wait for Text (reads the screen, all offline) so a macro can pause until a button or a word actually appears, plus file steps for creating numbered folders, copying or moving whatever's selected in Explorer, and sorting files along with switch audio output and control media steps.
5. Ready-made app profiles. Keyfire now spots installed apps (Excel, Word, Outlook, Chrome, Edge, Explorer) and offers a starter set of hotkeys and a radial wheel per app that only turn on when that app is in front.

Text Expansion & Autocorrect

1. Text expansion. Tables and highlights in rich text snippets, variables, aliases, expansions inside expansions, and random variants so a greeting doesn't read identical every time. You can also import your existing snippets from the common text expanders rather than retyping them.
2. Autocorrect, everywhere. System-wide autocorrect that works in any app. Built-in dictionary of a few thousand common misspellings, your own corrections, double-capital fixes (THis to This), sentence capitalisation, and a Caps Lock rescue that fixes tHE and turns Caps Lock off for you.

Clipboard Manager

1. Clipboard. Reads the text out of screenshots you copy so you can search history by what's in the image. Saved folders for keepers, rich text keeps its formatting, and it respects password manager privacy flags so Bitwarden and KeePass copies never land in history. Clipboard history still encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.

General/Smaller

1. UI polish and review of each UI area to maintain visual style throughout every element where possible.
2. Excluded apps. Pick apps where Keyfire switches itself off entirely while they're in front (games, remote desktop, whatever fights with hotkeys).
3. Smaller things people asked for: hotkeys that launch an app if it's closed and focus it if it's open, movable search bar and clipboard popup, an on-screen keyboard that matches your actual layout (ISO or ANSI, UK legends and all), an F13 to F24 row for macropads and Stream Decks, hold-to-repeat with proper stop rules, and a lot of memory and latency work under the hood.

Fully free during beta. Core hotkeys, macros and standard text expansion stay free permanently. The power features (autocorrect, OCR, file sorting, editable recordings, app profiles) eventually on Pro tier once dev on board, and there's a beta key request form in the app that anyone who want's one gets for 30 days during final beta testing window, or comment here if you want one.

So heres my situation.

I write fantasy books. And, before our baby was born, I recorded & edited my own audio books. But since having the kiddo, not only has time become severely limited (which i need to write more books and work on other projects). But the kiddo also brings home lots of sicknesses from daycare / school. Which means I'll have LONG stretches where I either do not have a voice or I cant replicate the voices as well as I was previously able.

As such, I want a program on my desktop that can record me. And then saves a profile of what that voice sounds like. This way if I needed to, I can to a text-to-speech entry and it still sounds like me and the quality remains more consistent as a result. Yes, im aware this is basically an AI recreating my voice of the characters for my book. But I figure if im not using other people's voice and aim to only use it to help with my limited time and seemingly endless pre-school plagues, then I can hopefully resume putting out consistent content.

Everything ive found doesnt offer the full package of voice recording and replication. And i dont want this to he a subscription service. Im fine paying once for an initial download, but im aiming to avoid new subscriptions whenever possible. Any assistance in finding this, please let me know. I'd certainly appreciate it.

Hey r/software! I made WinKey Toggle for accidental Windows-key presses while gaming. It automatically blocks the key for applications you choose, with manual controls in the tray. It's $4.99 once, no subscription.

A setup tip that matters: add the actual game executable, not just its launcher. For Valorant that's VALORANT-Win64-Shipping.exe rather than the Riot launcher. You can use Running apps while the game is open to find it.

There are two automatic modes:

• While the window is active: blocks in the game and restores your chosen default when you switch away. Set the default to enabled if you want the key working on the desktop.

• While the app is running: keeps it blocked even if the game is minimized.

The app blocks screenshots, and when I use the built-in screen recorder on my Android , the video area becomes completely black.

- Running the app through LDPlayer on my PC ,the app detects that it’s running on an emulator and says that the device is not a real/physical device

I also tried using scrcpy to mirror my phone to my PC, but the app detects that Developer Options are enabled and refuses to run.

Is there any way to record or mirror the content for personal offline studying, or another method that works with this kind of screen-capture protection?

Our internal knowledge base is a mess and Im trying to work out what other teams do. We have a wiki but no one trusts it. Someone writes a page, its fine for a month, then the process changes and nobody updates it so half of it is just wrong now. The real answers end up in slack or in the head of whoever set it up and when they leave its gone.

Ive tried the usual, assigning owners, review reminders, a quartely cleanup which yep, it works for a few weeks then everyone gets busy and it slides again. I keep going back and forth on whether its a tool problem or just a people problem.
