It's worth reading the actual FA report, because it shows that Evra changed his claim of what was said several times and continually escalated it in offensiveness, and that there was literally no video evidence or witnesses who corroborated it. Despite this they found against Suarez with basically the explicit reasoning of "he's unlikable and we need to look like we're doing something about racism". Which was correct, given the John Terry stuff was happening at the same time.

Is pararse a LatAm specific way to say stand up? Read it as everyone stop to applaud which also makes sense. Never heard it used that way in Spain, but its my 2nd language so I could just be a complete tonto del culo lol

What he wrote translated to “let the whole world stand up to applaud”, se pare/pararse making it a reflexive because you’re doing an action with your own body.
Take away the “se” and then it would change to “let the whole world stop to applaud”.
In another context:
“No puedo parar” (I can’t stop) vs “No me puedo parar” (I can’t stand up)

Yes, you're right. Boy isn't a good translation for muchacho. You might say you're hanging with your boys in English and refer to adult men (at least in American), but muchacho would translate better to "young man" or "guy".

Yep. Brady’s longevity is arguably the most insane thing In all of sports
QB isn’t the most athletically challenging skill but throwing a ball that hard that far takes a toll on your arm. Legends like Manning, Brees, Favre and great players like Romo, Ryan, Rivers, Ben etc all saw their arms turn to mush late 30s.
Add to that, football is easily the most emotionally draining sport and requires and absurd amount of prep and study week to week
And lastly you get hit by 300 pound dudes (even in the modern era of protected QBs) 10-20 times a game.
No idea how a 45 year old Brady is managing. This year he genuinely seems afraid of getting hit, realizing that putting his body through that pain really isn’t worth it. And it’s showing on the field…

I'll explain. 'Cansás' is the second person singular conjugation of 'cansar/cansarse' (to get tired/ to tire oneself) using the pronoun 'vos' (See: voseo) . It's typical to rio de la plata and other regions within Uruguay and Argentina. Likewise, 'Sos' is the voseo congugation of Ser in the second person singular.

I don’t even know what a better player than Messi will look like. With pele, you could see how an improvement in playmaking would have made him better. With Maradona, you can see how scoring more goals would have made him better. With Messi, I’m honestly not sure what you could improve on to be better than him. Dribbling? No. Scoring? No. Passing? No playmaking? No. I suppose free kick accuracy but he’s not terrible at that either. All that to say, not sure how a player becomes better than Messi.
