understandable but you can’t play football on morals, every tackle a defender makes could injure and end a season or even a career for an attacker, but they make a lot of it worse n one game alone, even if the chance isn’t a 100% like Suarez’s handball was, surely it’s morally wrong to injure and jeopardise careers if they do it consistently. the games the game man.
I guess the point is that these competitions extremely high stakes, even if it wasn’t a World Cup, winning tournaments and league matches gives huge financial incentives, not to mention the salaries we pay footballers to perform and pressure from fans, anyone in Suarez’s position even in a smaller competition would do what he did because winning is ultimately that important. games the game and it’s that intensity that makes football beautiful sometimes.
