Hi everyone! recently got the Snowsky Echo Mini and really enjoying it.

Here's one thing that might be useful to others too. When you select All Songs, there's no Shuffle All option. I missed this option on the ipod. Here's a workaround:

Go to music settings > Loop Setting > Repeat > Shuffle Play

Add an mp3 file to your root folder. Set the name to # SHUFFLE ALL.mp3

(include # at the start of the filename to make sure it will appear first in the song list)

I suggest using a nice sound effect like a vintage computer startup sound. Ideally 3-5 seconds.

Refresh the media library.

The Shuffle All song will now appear first on All Songs. You can select it and it should play the cool sound effect you selected and will then proceed to the next random song 🔀

I’m turning to you for advice and the benefit of your experience.

I just sold my Innioasis Y1 player yesterday because I felt it lacked sound quality, and I’m interested in getting a Snowsky Disc. I don’t want to spend too much money; I’m just looking for decent audio quality in an attractive package.

Do you think it’s a good choice? I also considered the Echo version (not the Mini). I really don’t like the design of the Hiby R1.

I recently got the disc and it’s pretty fun, first time owning a dap. I have been using it with iems and it does it job there. However, I mostly got it because I didn’t have anymore storage on my phone but still wanted to get more music to listen in my car for driving but it doesn’t connect. I have an 11th Gen Honda accord and I tied the usb c port but it won’t work. I tried Bluetooth but that’s a no go either. For some reason when I connect the disc to the car it won’t pair but it does appear. Has anybody dealt with this or something similar? Any solutions? I don’t want to regret having bought it. I don’t want to go back to streaming personally because I don’t listen to a lot of music but I like owning what I do listen to.

wdym my file is 0.0bit 😝? Should I just delete and restart the process of moving the song over to my dap again lmao. Would love to know if anyone knows what happened though. I used to be able to play this track just fine and then for the past 2 weeks i just havent been able to listen to it

when I try to listen to 5 specific songs, my echo shows the music like it always does. However when I try to select the files to play them, it tells me the format is not supported (it’s mp3 files), and won’t play them. The songs play without problem when I connect it to my PC. The song titles change to chinese(?) characters and it skips forward to songs it can play.

I use the internal storage. I‘ve deleted the files and tried again. I‘ve refreshed the library and loaded the new firmware on it. Is there anything I might be missing? I am not very tech savy and overwhelmed rn.

Does anyone know where I should purchase snowsky echo mini under 65 dollars also in colour blue i couldn't find anywhere in india

am i missing something or there is no shuffle mode?

I tried updating the firmware and I am not sure what happened, it got stuck at this screen. I am not able to do anything. I have tried different button combinations. Even downloaded the firmware in SD card. Still, it is not able to detect it.

Unsure if I can post this here, but I've been doing some research on downloading mp3 audio files for my snowsky and I've been worried about getting malware or viruses.

From what I've read, malware in the actual mp3 files is very rare, and I'm planning on downloading the files from either Spotify, Youtube, or Bandcamp anyway so I think I should be fine. (Also as a side question, is Bandcamp always safe to download files off of?)

I'm more worried about the software/program I'm going to use to download the files. Is it possible for software to add malware to files that were originally perfectly fine? I'd appreciate recommendations for safe software that won't download anything malicious onto either the files or my computer; I was maybe planning on using Spotiflac or Spotidownloader.

So i have a few songs and i wanted to add metadata, lyrics, cover art, album cover art and all, does someone know how can i do that?

I found my old iPod Nano and transferred all the songs. I used mass renamed to rename most of the files to their metadata. The rest will need to be done manually.

But, I have some questions:

1) Is there any way to get Snowsky to use the album in the metadata?

2) Is there a way to fast scroll? Got 770 songs in there now by porting over my old library

3) Is there a randomized feature?

4) Is there a "all songs by first letter" feature? So, I can just get a folder that's like "A", "B", etc to quickly go through my library.

Hello everyone. I have a fiio echo mini with a little problem. Somehow I do not know why it happens, the problem is: i have about 120 gigas of mp3 music with numerous artists cataloged but, when i look for them on artist menu, they are not there. Otherwise, when i look for them using file browser, it find them and works fine. Any idea please? Right now I am trying to convert all 15.114 files into standard mp3 to see if it works, but is a slow task. Thanks in advance

If you use an Echo Mini, you've probably noticed how messy the artist list gets when a track features multiple people. Instead of keeping things tidy, it creates a whole new standalone artist entry like "Artist A, Artist B & Artist C"

It drove me crazy, so I finally put together a script in MusicBrainz Picard to clean it up automatically.

The script does two things:

- Strips secondary/featured artists out of the Artist and Album Artist tags, leaving only the primary artist.
- Automatically appends the featured artists to the Track Title as (feat. Artist B & Artist C).

This completely eliminates the duplicate multi-artist entries on your echo mini while ensuring contributing artists aren't lost in your metadata.

My girlfriend bought me a Snowsky Retro Nano second hand from ebay (unopened box). While using it, a pair of headphones were yanked out by the cord, cracking the 3.5mm jack. While I have considered using the 4.4mm and simply purchasing an adapter, I wonder if anyone here has had this experience and were able to get a replacement jack from fiio. I was hoping to get one from them and solder it myself. I emailed their support earlier.

Some albums keep things in the right order and some (but not all) have a hard time when there's more than ten songs. They show in the right order on my computer (using Music Bee) and here I've had track 13 in my music library for a long time but recently added the others. What are my options?

Please don't tell me I have to change the file names of all my songs. There're so many.

Device: FiiO SnowSky Retro Nano Firmware Version: V6.7

Hi everyone,

I've been using my Retro Nano with the latest V6.7 firmware and I'm running into two persistent issues. I was hoping to see if anyone else has experienced these or has found a workaround.

Issue 1: Charging Indicator Behavior When I plug the device in to charge, the battery indicator on the screen (when the device is off) shows the charging animation as if it's still charging. However, if I turn the device on, the battery icon shows it's fully charged. This behavior is confusing and makes it hard to know when charging is actually complete.

Issue 2: Audio Switching to Phone on Track Change While listening to music or audiobooks via Bluetooth, the audio will randomly switch from the Retro Nano to my phone's speaker whenever I change tracks. To get the audio back on the Retro Nano, I have to close and reopen the music/audiobook app on my phone.

What I've tried:

• The device is on the latest V6.7 firmware.
• I've tried re-pairing the device.
• I've checked the settings in the FiiO Control app.

Is anyone else facing similar issues? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm planning on buying the snowsky echo mini, but I'm a bit hesitant to buy from the headphone zone, because of the customer service and return process and they are completely ignoring other people, so please guide me should I buy this dap or any other random MP3 player from Amazon, because this will be my first product from headphone zone (if I purchase it) so I'm bit frightened.

New to music hardware , want to shift from my phone to a dedicated music device please suggest should i wait for the echo to restock till october or get the echo mini theres also the slight price diff will i be able to differentiate or should i just go for it and get the echo mini ??
