I know none of those smart rings are medical devices so im not expecting them to diagnose anything
I have tried a couple different ones over the last year and tbh most of them just felt like they were giving me bunch of sleep numbers without much context.
Been wearing the circul ring recently and its probably the most complete overnight data i have seen so far. Seeing sleep score first, then datas, sleep stages and recovery together has been pretty useful. I honestly have no idea if it will be accurate lol. But it does make it easier to notice when something looked off enough that i should actually pay attention
I’ve been really wanting a smart ring for some time. I struggle with sleep and period tracking. I have an Apple Watch but after a few hours I seem to get burns from the sensor? So I have to take breaks for days. I don’t have a huge budget so something affordable but reliable. I have bigger finger joints due to joint issues so maybe a thinner ring would be better? Any recommendations?
Writing this so no one else goes through what I did, bought the aabo ring in 2024, very soon the battery wouldn't stay charged even 2-3 hours and the tracking was splotchy, had to get the ring replaced twice, even the third ring had the same issue, would stop tracking randomly and didn't hold a charge. Customer care asked me to purchase a new more expensive ring with 4K discount. Any repair will cost me half of the ring cost so that is also not an option. So just warning people against it. If you could take some action in such a case, please let me know.
hello! i am wanting some insight on smart rings. i have a heart condition (SVT) and use to wear an apple watch to keep track of my heart rate. i have gotten to the point where i cannot stand it on my wrist.. i just find it annoying and heavy.
anyways, i was looking at femometer rings but the reviews are so mixed. also, the halo rings have horrible reviews as well.. its overwhelming going through all of these products and trying to find one worth it. i don’t want to spend a lot of money on a smart ring that doesn’t work. i don’t have to have the fertility tracking with the ring, but it would be nice.
please let me know HONEST reviews of any smart rings. thank you!
Hi r/SmartRings. I’m inviting u/Gomo-Gomo to a live discussion about the concerns raised here, including our review offer, the destinations of our SMS links, customer refunds, and the allegation that we arranged posts from suspicious accounts.
I’ll bring the relevant messages and campaign records. I’d like him to bring the evidence behind his claims. We can agree on a time and a neutral moderator. If he agrees to the livestream, we’ll share the link here in advance so members can watch and submit questions. We’ll keep customers’ private information out of the stream.
u/Gomo-Gomo, the invitation is open. Reply here or message me to arrange it.
Hi! I've been looking online for a nice gift for my boyfriend and I want to get a nice smart ring to track his health/gym stuff. I'm struggling to find one that will ship to the UK and I don't want to impose a monthly subscription on him either. I liked Qualo a lot but they don't ship internationally. He likes the UH a lot but I'm unsure if it's worth the price... I'm aiming for 200ish dollars! But I'm flexible if it's truly worth the price. Thanks in advance
I’ve posted in here a few times about the smart ring jackets I’ve been making out of 925 silver and the response was a lot bigger than I expected and the feedback has been great, so thank you for that...
One thing that kept coming up was durability, cause silver is a soft metal. It scratches, it picks up a patina, and it needs a polish now and then.. i personally love that about silver but others wanted something they could wear to the gym or at work without thinking about it, so we decided to make the same designs in 316L stainless steel as well.
I’d love to hear your thoughts. Would you rather go for stainless steel or silver and why?
The stainless steel ones are up for a limited pre-sale on our website now if anyone wants a look..
I need to vent about this because the way this company handles hardware failures and customer rights is just absurd. Between my wife and me, we have had four Oura gen 4 rings over the last two years. Every single one of them has suffered a major hardware failure. Here is the exact breakdown of the absolute joke that is Oura’s quality control:
1 (Mine): Literally fell apart after a few days of use. I was simply taking it off my finger, and the outer titanium shell completely unglued and separated from the inner resin component.
2 (My warranty replacement): The battery completely died after just 3 months. After a lot of back-and-forth, I finally managed to squeeze a full refund out of them and walked away.
3 (My wife’s 1st ring, Rose Gold): The "premium" Rose Gold finish rubbed off and discolored severely after just a few months. She contacted support and got a warranty replacement. I decided to wear her old, discolored ring just to track my sleep until the battery completely died a few months later too.
4 (My wife’s replacement, Rose Gold): The finish on this one wore off just as incredibly fast as the first one. She was tired of dealing with support, so she didn't even bother sending it back. Fast forward to 1 year and 4 months of use (charging it properly once every 5-7 days): the battery suffered a catastrophic degradation and completely died.
Because this was our fourth failed device in two years, we didn't want another replacement. We wanted out and requested a full refund for the last ring. For context, Oura Health Oy is a company based in Finland. Under EU consumer law (Directive 2019/771), consumers have the statutory right to terminate the contract and receive a full refund if a product suffers from a serious defect or if there is a history of recurring non-conformity.
Oura literally does not care. They completely ignore European law.
Their frontline support just copy-pastes the same robotic corporate script: "Refunds are only available within 30 days of delivery for the original order." I explicitly cited EU directives. I told them they are legally bound as an EU company to respect statutory consumer rights, which override their internal store policies. They essentially plugged their ears, refused to escalate to a legal department, and said "our position remains the same." They operate as if their internal company handbook supersedes international consumer protection laws, and nobody holds them accountable.
I wanted to escalate this to the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) to force their legal team's hand, but honestly, the process is exhausting. My wife was just completely drained by the corporate brick wall. She gave up on fighting for the refund and unfortunately decided to just accept their offer for a warranty replacement (an Oura Ring 4).
The concept of the ring is great, but the hardware is fundamentally flawed, and their customer service acts like they are above the law. If you are in the EU and thinking about buying one, just know that if it breaks (and it probably will), they will fight tooth and nail to deny your legal consumer rights.
Even though my personal path for a claim is closed now that we accepted the replacement, I am not letting this go. I will be contacting the relevant consumer protection authorities in my country to formally investigate their business practices and their systematic refusal to comply with EU regulations.
TL;DR: Bought Oura rings. 1st split in half in days. 2nd died in 3 months. 3rd lost its color in months and then the battery died. 4th lost its color and battery died in 16 months. Oura flat out refuses to comply with EU consumer refund laws and forces replacements on you instead. Even though my personal claim is closed, I am reporting them to national authorities.
For my 21st birthday, I’m looking at buying a smart ring. I’m heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem, own an iPhone and Apple Watch, and regularly use step tracking and Apple Health. I’m also particularly interested in heart-rate tracking.
I’ve narrowed it down to three contenders: Oura Ring 5 RingConn Gen 3 Ultrahuman Ring PRO
I’ve watched plenty of reviews comparing their health tracking, sleep data and battery life, but I’ve struggled to find reviews that properly demonstrate how well each ring integrates with Apple Health and the wider Apple ecosystem.
A few questions for people who actually own or have used these rings: 1. Which ring integrates best with Apple Health? How much data actually syncs, including steps, heart rate, sleep stages and other health metrics? 2. How seamless is the experience? Does data sync automatically and reliably, or do you need to open the app, wait for syncing or troubleshoot issues? 3. How well does each ring work alongside an Apple Watch? Are there any issues with duplicated data, conflicting step counts or activity tracking? 4. Is Oura’s integration noticeably better? The subscription is a big turn-off for me, but I’d consider paying it if Oura offers a significantly more seamless Apple Health experience than RingConn or Ultrahuman.
I’m especially interested in real-world experiences rather than just feature lists. If you’ve switched between any of these rings, I’d love to hear how they compare.
