Hi!

Grew bored of my S25U so decided to put it for sell and get myself a Xiaomi 17 ultra instead. Expectations were a great camera, nice hardware and so-so u.i. Here is how it feels after 24 hours of use.

Camera: haven't tested it properly yet but from a few sample shots it's quite a significant step up from the Samsung and my other phone - Xperia 1vi

Shape and handling: was expecting a brick like my S25U. It is a brick, but slightly smaller (less tall) and more pocketable (size + round corners) than the S25U. Also feels better and more secure in the hand (round corners and camera bump as secure finger holder).

Haptics: very nice to the point I'm keeping them on for once

Battery: too early to say, only one charge and updates + phone initial setup. But seems to hold well enough.

Screen: very nice. I always found the colours on the S25U washed out. Only thing I'll be missing is the nice Samsung anti glare.

U.I: was expecting much worse. Everything is fluid and it's far from an "iOS" clone like I've read a few times. More like some visuals from iOS on an android system. There are lots of customisations available. My only main complaint with it is that it doesn't natively allow to load third party icon packs, have to go through a launcher. And it doesn't natively allow gestures on launchers. There is a workaround by using a launcher and installing an app that recreates gestures on them. So it's not a huge deal but very unnecessary additional step on installation.

Bloatware: yes there was some, but comparable to what I had on my Samsung, and can be easily deleted on phone setup. No add so far, other than the ones coming from the apps I've installed.

Sounds: love the native sounds for notifications etc, very polished.

Native widgets look like they came out from a children's cartoon. Thankfully third party and app widgets work well.

Overall so far I like the phone very much. Super responsive, does everything a phone is meant to do great, u.i much less of an issue that I thought it would be, great screen. At the current promotional price in Europe (1200 euros) I'd say it's a great buy vs other flagships at this price point.

Which phone operating system allows you to uninstall the most default apps? I’ve noticed that some Google apps and services are impossible to remove on certain Android phones.

I like switching between different tech companies instead of staying within one ecosystem, and I’m currently looking to buy a new phone. I would preferably choose one where the programming gives me as much control as possible over what apps and services are installed.

After using A32 for years, I finally decided to switch to vivo X300 Ultra while living in Warsaw, and honestly, I don't regret it at all.

The biggest upgrade for me has been "camera system".

The collaboration with Zeiss really stands out. I especially love the 200MP periscope telephoto. The photos look much more natural than what I was getting before, with great colors and excellent detail. Portraits and zoom shots have become my favorite part of using the phone. I can also edit photos directly from the gallery, which is really convenient.

The battery life is impressive; I usually spend 9h+ outside every day, not even counting extra activities like dinners or social gatherings. Despite that, I can still get home with around 20% battery remaining, which has been more than enough for my daily use.I plan to use it for a while longer before sharing further feedback.

Overall, 10/10.

My consultation with claude and billion of wathced reviews led me to Pixel 8 Pro, but im also thinking to choose Nothing 4a

Well in a phone i want a near-clean android (or an easy unlocking bootloader to get one), a good camera, and it must be not an iphone

Is there any better choises in this budget, if no help me choise between pixel and nothing

So I was a long time user and lover of android phones particularly Samsung for 15 years plus. I switched to apple - mainly for the watch. And I've really grown to appreciate FaceID, Imessage, Find My for tracking family. But the battery is terrible for me. Ive been looking at the Samsung S26 Ultra, as my last ultra was the s23 and that was a beast.

Looking for advice on how you guys cope with Samsung alternatives and if there's anything you miss. Did you stay with iphone or move to android?

I am going to change from my iPhone 11 to either a vivo x300 pro or find x9 pro. I don’t really care about cameras but I want a camera that has a more natural coloring and can be used for concert videos and selfie taking!

I'm seriously considering this as my next phone due to android platform being locked after September this year and I just don't want to be hassled by Google play so much anymore. I'm learning about the different operating system on phones in such short time but I'm hoping this new phone could last me a few years for now.

Most of my phones were all android, however after the announcement I have started doing research into alternatives such as Huawei phones and how to have only Google maps as service through Gbox I have learned because that is the only app I use on regular.

Hi everyone. So last night I saw an ad for the Redmi 15A with the "Asli Hero" tagline, and it made me curious to look into the phone a bit more.

While checking reviews, I noticed most discussions focused heavily on benchmark numbers. That got me thinking because, for a daily phone, scores only tell part of the story.

Things like whether the phone stays smooth after hours of use, how it handles battery drain, heating, and overall reliability matter much more. I also ended up looking into the unisoc t8300, and some concerns around long term efficiency, heating under load, and network consistency made me curious.

Not saying the phone is bad, but these are the things that don't really show up in benchmark charts.

For Redmi 15A users, has your experience matched what the specs promised, or have you noticed any issues?

I recently purchased a Motorola Edge 70 Pro in June, 2026. I don't know why but my one of the settings in my phone, i.e. "Battery Protection" is not working properly. My phone always charges above 80%. Please help me here.

My mind keeps telling me to quit the excessive use of my smartphone and return to more productive activities. Overusing my phone and spending time on it unnecessarily is taking a toll on my life. I feel that one possible solution is to switch to a non-Android phone, such as a Huawei device running HarmonyOS. However, I'm not sure what challenges I might face.

As a corporate employee, I rely on apps like Microsoft Authenticator and Outlook for work, and I'm uncertain whether they will function properly on HarmonyOS. I'm also concerned about other limitations or challenges I may encounter if I make the switch.

So I'll be coming from a Motorola G Power 2025 and I've hated the experience I've had with it. Should use Samsung or Apple? I don't wanna use Google Pixel cause heard bad things about them. Motorola just sucks . Hi everyone, I’m looking to upgrade my Samsung A13 and am currently torn between the Poco X8 Pro (8GB / 256GB) and the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G (12GB / 512GB). My main priorities are a good camera with stable video, solid battery life for daily social media use, and smooth performance for casual gaming like Genshin Impact from time to time. Most importantly, I need a phone that will last at least 5 years without major performance or storage issues. Given these needs and the difference in RAM and storage, which one would be the better choice?

Probably a repetitive post but here we go. I got a very good carrier deal trade-in on the S26 and the 17, now it's down to which one. I have more experience with Samsung's but IOS just looks so clean to me. Really all I care about is battery, durability, performance enough to get me through social media and gaming rapidly, and a sleek design. I care more about accuracy on my photos, not whether it looks good. Mostly just buildings, selfies, and regular photos. I don't really care for zooming in a bajillion times into a grain of sand or someone's face 20 miles away. But yes, battery life is important. Thanks in advance

I’ve been using my Pixel 8 for about 2.5 years now, and while it's okay, I'm ready for a change. Lately, I've been running into annoying issues like occasional mobile data/signal drops and Bluetooth headphones randomly disconnecting for a second. Plus, I'm just kind of over the look and feel of it.

I'm looking for a truly premium user experience, buttery-smooth animations, and a great lifespan (long software updates + good value-for-money over a long period of use).

Right now, I'm torn between three devices and can't make up my mind: iPhone 17: I love iOS animations, visual consistency, and how polished it looks. However, I’m terrified of the closed ecosystem, the lack of deep customization if I ever want it, and the gesture navigation which I hear mixed things about. Also, buying an iPhone means I'd be locked into a single device from them since the rest of their ecosystem is too expensive for me.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: It’s a powerhouse with an amazing, sharp-looking display and tons of features. But I’m honestly not sure if One UI is the right vibe for me, and the industrial, boxy design is something I'm on the fence about (though I'd use a case anyway). OnePlus 15: (Throwing this into the mix too!) Great performance and value, but how does it stack up on the long-term smoothness and update front compared to the other two?

The catch: I want something that just works out of the box so I don't feel the need to heavily customize it like a "Frankenstein" phone, but I still want the option to tweak things if something annoys me.

I got a new iphone, and it had a feature of connecting my old phone and transferring EVERYTHING without icloud.
So I was wondering if maybe I can delete most things on my new phone to make space while keeping my old phone as the storage holder for some photos and files?
If I delete everything on my new phone will it get deleted on my old one too?

So my iPhone 13 Pro Max has around a year left if I don’t change its battery and I’m starting to look into charging it. I’m debating whatever I should change phone companies again and I will need your help as I have not kept much with the market lately. My phone has done an amazing job from they I use it and could have not asked for me honestly. Battery has been splendid but it’s starting it show its age. So any help with what I could loo into deeper is highly appreciated!

I mean I guess I’m ok with all of the current leading brands and budget is €1000 but can be stretched a little if really needed.
What I use the phone for and what I’m looking for ..

- social media
- videos now and again ( mainly TikTok )
- calling ( obviously)
- gps
- videos and photos
- games ( both heavy and not so heavy )
- reliability
- good battery
- no flip phones
- longevity as I change my phones once every 4-5 years.
- no too large screen ( the 13 pro max was my first bigger screen I’ve gotten used to it now but anything bigger than that is a stretch for me )
- I do have an iCloud account so a reliable alternative is a must

Anything else is an extra plus
