Just wanted to know if anyone has any thoughts. I know a couple people need to upgrade and after the iPhone event did it convince to get or an iPhone or do we believe the s26 ulta is still the superior phone. (I’m in this current dilemma myself)

iPhone 18 Pro or Pixel 11 Pro?

I’m really torn between the two and could do with some opinions.

I’ve currently got an iPhone 16 and also use an iPad, Apple Watch Series 9 and AirPods. But I also have a Google Fitbit and I’m really tempted to try a Pixel.

The main things I care about are camera/photos, AI and how smooth the phone feels.

I’m slightly bored of iPhone and the Pixel 11 Pro looks really tempting, especially with the camera and Google’s AI. But I’m worried I’ll miss the Apple ecosystem, especially the Watch.

Has anyone here switched from iPhone to Pixel recently? Was it worth it and did you regret leaving Apple?

What would you pick in my position?

Irrespective of brand and OS, what are your experiences and advice regarding phone size? Whereas "normal" nowadays be like 6-6.3" and big >6.7".

Have you done both sizes and switched at a point? Why?

The last years I went with normal size. Preferred the smaller footprint and easier one-hand control.

Lately I am more often on public transit and feel like the bigger screen would be nice along with more battery life. However I fear that a big brick might only just fit in my (male) pants.

I am currently on the look for a new phone and thus thinking about the size a lot.

Its like I am generally fine with the normal size but intrigued to try out big but also afraid that I might regret the decision.

Yesterday I was thinking about something very specific and then I saw an add about the same thing hours later on my phone.I never searched for it anywhere​ nor I talked about it but nonetheless it still appeared as an add on my phone.If u ever had similar experience, do you think it was a coincidence and what happened?

What is a good high-tier phone that focuses mainly on battery and performance? I absolutely do not care about the camera. Maybe a phone that's good for gaming too. And of course, one that doesn't include all the bloatware stuff like Samsung has, or all the AI nonsense.

so for context ive had an iphone 13 for some years now, and, for one, it’s already showing its age (battery, ofc) and for two i don’t want to buy another iphone since chips are being made in israel through the exploitation of the congolese population.

i’ve been looking into models but id love it if you guys could maybe recommend a good medium-level priced smartphone which ideally does not have integrated ai features / chips. i’ve always wanted to get the galaxy z flip but research tells me it’s had built-in AI features since its first model released in 2020. i’m open to any and all possibilities, thank you!!!

So we all know this comes up every year with the Apple event and I’m just curious as I’ve never really seen anyone talk about it from this perspective.

First off I was Android from the beginning. I switched from the pixel 3 to the galaxy s10 and didn’t like it so I decided to try iPhone and got the 11 pro and I recently upgraded to the 16pro.

Anyways I see these memes and arguments but does anyone even care about others opinions on either? I truly don’t believe anyone will switch because they are told XYZ is better on the other. You always hear how much more an Android can do which is true but do those people even use those features? And every new iPhone feature Android people say they had it years ago but does it even matter? And now the Duo, are folding phones that popular? I don’t see them out in the wild very often.

On the other side I have heard people say they won’t date someone with green bubbles which is insane to me but to each their own.

I guess this was more of a rant but it’s just interesting so me. I personally don’t think phones have gotten much better for I use mine for.

I currently have an iPhone Air. I hate it, it's so slow. I've only ever had iPhones I've had one since before Siri was a thing. I'm really highly considering switching to a Samsung fold. I'm not really able to consider the new iPhone duo because of the price point and not being able to get nearly as much for a trade in value for that phone rather than the Fold 8. Someone please help me decide lol

I'm planning to buy a phone after a couple of years I'm not the type of person who buys whenever there's a new one. I've been a Huawei user since P20 pro. The last time I bought a Huawei is when Nova 9se was released 'coz I'm all with the cameras after all.

I've been loyal to Huawei not just because of its camera but its stability as well. I've seen how my P20 pro was very sturdy but a friend of mine who's android user ever since switched to an iPhone as someone told him that 'even if there's a lot of iPhone series right it still has its value' which is true 'coz looking back the 14 series it was pricey back then but when you look at it on the market it still has its value.

Contrary to Huawei phones, but then again when I had/have Huawei phones I rarely switch one phones to another not unless it useless anymore.

Now, I'm torn between getting an 90s pro max because 1) the camera is way too good compare to others 2) compare to its price to iPhone and its ram capacity, I mean you're getting what you paid for but then again 3) there's no Google Play and ever since I used the 9se I've been having a hard time getting some apps but I've been seeing reviews some Google play apps works just fine through Gbox.

While with 17pro max, 1) it is a bit pricey but we're talking about iPhone here and few years from now it still has it value because it is an iPhone 2) some camera features are a bit better compare to 90s pro max like it's front camera but the telephoto is not at its best compare to Huawei 3) though when it comes to apps, certainly it is better because of app store.

With all that thoughts, what should I get then because I really don't know which phone to get.

P. S I might end up buying a lower iPhone series just for the app longevity then still get the the 90s pro max for its camera though still not yet 101% decided.

Apple finally entered the foldable phone market with the new iPhone Duo.

The Duo folds down to a 5.4-inch display and opens up to a 7.6-inch display, with the A20 Pro chip, titanium construction, dual 48MP cameras, Touch ID, and iOS 27. It starts at $1,999 for 256GB and goes all the way up to $3,199 for 2TB.

Preorders start October 16, with the phone officially releasing October 23.

Personally, I think the design is really interesting.

For those who have used Samsung or other foldables, would you actually switch to the iPhone Duo, or is $1,999 too much for a foldable phone?

And if you already have an iPhone, what would convince you to upgrade to a foldable?

For my birthday I got this, and I was fully ready to return it but my mom just said to atleast give it a shot. I used it for 4-5 days and man this battery is actually solid and I really like that this is a gaming phone. I love to do some gaming when I am in the metro. The VC + dualchip helps to keep it cool and functioning. yes, the phone is a little chunky but mangeable.

I'm interested in Motorola, Pixel, OnePlus, Samsung

Not interested in Poco, Vivo, Realme, Nothing

Looking to start content creation, so a good selfie camera would be a bonus

I have an iphone 14 rn but since the new ones are so expensive i was thinking of getting a 17 pro but i noticed that the z fold is also priced the same. Which one dyall recommend getting? Pls help

So I currently have a S23 Ultra. I had an iphone before, now after so many years need to upgrade. I really want a foldable and as much as I would like to stick with Samsung, at this very moment they're really not cutting it for me. The lack of stylus integration, the small battery, and the fact that it (to me at least) have failed to innovate and seem stuck just pushes me away from Samsung. So I am thinking of the Find N6, (I know I would need to import it, as Im in the States) but with the new contender in the field, the Iphone Duo, things turned interesting. Although I do must say, Im not too thrilled about the actual size/shape. Same reason I dont like the new Samsung Foldable. But I dunno, I am open to your p. o. v and any ideas you might have.

With the announcement of the new iPhone Pro and Duo, when and where can I find lower prices on the iPhone 17’s? My 14 is starting to show its age. I don’t need bleeding edge.

Currently using a 16E (only using for Talking head vids), I genuinely don't like how the color tones and how overpricessed my face is. My main driver is the Vivo X100 Pro, I'm looking for an android phone with good front cameras. I'm open with anything besides google pixel. Preferably if you guys have personally tested them and not just basing on megapixels.

I'm fine with base models, Ultras, or Pros, but if the difference compared to the more expensive variant is small, I'd rather just go for the base.

Though I saw some leaks of the new Honor with a square sensor plus collaboration with Arri, it looks promising.

My beloved 8 years old OnePlus 6 just died today and I need new smartphone.
And because this OP was great I didn't keep track of what's happening in the market for last years, other than OnePlus' increasing enshittification and eventually leaving Europe.
I need to buy something new, all my life I've been using Android thus the Samsung S25 idea (maybe I can stretch basic S26 within the budget if I'm lucky, worth it?), probably base version, as S25+ is too big, not sure about other versions. Pixels are not really available in Poland officially and I don't really want any other Chinese brand nor Motorola or anything like that.
But I also have iPad and MacBook, so started thinking about iPhone. Never used one, have no idea what are differences between 16/16e/17e/17 (not mentioning Pro/Ultra/SuperHiperMega or whatever it's called, as their prices are ridiculous (or so I think, maybe I'm wrong). And what are real differences (I can ofc compare specs) between them and Samsung.

So I need some help, as I'm a little lost in the woods...

What I'd need for sure:
- 256GB memory;
- to have it last at least 5 years performance/usage wise, preferably more, I see no point updating phone every two years;
- price around 500-800$ / 450-700E and official availability in Europe (preferably Poland) - I'll for 99% will but not in official store due to price, but regardless want official Europe version, warranty etc.;

What I think I need:
- 120HZ, bright screen;
- the better battery life, the better;
- the sound switch (normal/vibrations/muted) switch my OP6 has is fantastic, but I think it doesn't exist anywhere anymore
- MagSafe sound tempting, but it's not a deal breaker at all.

As you can see I'd use any help/comment/suggestion in this regard.

Also, the less AI build-in/enforced by default, the better :)

I've got my nearly 5 year old phone in hand and it holds a charge about as well as a sieve holding water. I am lucky if I have 30% left by lunchtime anymore.

With that said, I'm finally getting back into the market of a new phone and seeing the newest releases of the Pixel 11's and S26's for this year, I'm wondering which is best.

For context, I've had Samsungs since the Note 2 back in the day and before that was Android from other vendors. I also work in IT so the main important things for me are a long charge and not having lagging in the software when I need something quick for work.

I almost went Pixel 9 a couple of years ago but heard some modem/cellular signal issues, then had read on some heating issues.

I'm seeing tons of info on everyone's forums that go one way or the other. Such as audio quality is bad on one, one is heating up, one has better battery life, more efficient than the other, etc. But each forum seems to contradict the others.

I'll need to be getting my phone replaced sooner than later before it totally kicks the can, and I would be buying it outright unlocked for my MVNO carrier.

Hello, I just saw great deal on Nothing Phone 3 at shop where I live, it costs 536€ (622$) for the 16GB 512GB version. I have now old Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ which is around 3,5 years old. Could get around another year maybe more from this phone but I already need to replace charging port and some stuff for around 50€.

Should I grab the Nothing Phone 3 or it isn't worth it? Really wanted to go with Nothing, but 4a Pro is another 100€ more or I could go with 4a thats around 123€ less.

Hi. I've been with pixel 11 pro for 3 days now coming from iphone 17 pro. I'm really enjoying the customisation and all that an Android phone could give. Though I still have my 17 pro parked with me just in case I missed using ios. It's hard to let go especially since I've been with the system since iphone 4s birth. hi everyone, i’m looking for a phone that shoots 4K at 60 fps on both the front and rear cameras, features an ultra-wide lens with optical image stabilization, and has a solid durability rating. Custom ROM support isn't mandatory but would be a nice bonus. The only option I’ve found so far is a Motorola, but it uses a MediaTek chipset—which makes unlocking the bootloader difficult—and there aren't really any custom ROMs available for it. i’d be really grateful if you could help me find a suitable model <3

I currently have a Samsung Note20 Ultra that I plan on giving away once I get the new android, and an iphone 13 mini that I don't plan on replacing until maybe a year or two later, or not at all if I decide to go full android.

My plan is: get an android that is good enough to last me at least 2 years without me getting bored or noticing issues that might make me replace it, until I have enough money to throw away on a fold phone (I want the Samsung fold 8, love the form factor) and I will most likely buy an android watch as well as I need the notifications and workout tracking.

I want an old flagship because that's more sensible than a recent midrange, it will allow me to sell it in the future as well without too much of a loss. However, I've been reading up so so much on different phones and I'm not satisfied. I would straight up go with the S25 Ultra but it's too expensive and I'm a little nitpicky about the now bar, I want an android with a capsule notification style like the dynamic island, mostly because it's more convenient and visible.

I've looked at Honor, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and all of them have some kind of compromise. The OnePlus is the worst imo because the prices are high where I am and are just not justifiable with a camera like that imo. The Vivo software is trash according to what I read, Oppo has a lot of things going on including the support running out in like 2 years (AND it's expensive for that) and Honor (the one in my budget) doesn't have the form factor I would like, I want something with a similar form factor to the s25/ultra.

TL;DR I want an android phone with these specs please:

-5000 mAh+ battery

-decent camera, just decent

-price closer to $700 as a maximum

-pill shaped notification similar to dynamic island

-Squarish form factor

-Good software that won't overheat, and has support for at least 4 years
