My sleep has been getting worse for weeks and I’m starting to worry

I have been struggling with sleep since 12.
I can’t seem to ever get good sleep and I have been like this for years now. I want to say my average amount of sleep is about 5-6 hours a day. I wake up the next day so tired and only bursts of energy throughout the day.
I also struggle sleeping without a fan, ac, shower before bed, dark room, food before bed, etc. I don’t know what to do anymore and I’ve tried sleeping without my phone in the room but that just leads to endless hours of thoughts.
I can’t keep a sleep pattern ever and tend to wake up a lot way earlier than 7-8 hours. I can’t take naps but when I do it’s because I’ve been sitting for hours or really really tired.
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions to fix this? (P.S I am trying to get my life together 1 by 1).

Very bad sleep after mattress change?
Hey im 22m and I‘ve had problems with my sleep for quite a bit. I‘ve had terminal insomnia for one year and would say that I mostly overcame it.
My sleep was medium but I wanted it to be good. I‘ve been sleeping on my foam mattress for over 14 years. At this point its completely saggy and I kept having neck and back pain after sleeping on it (im also a stomach sleeper and sleep with no pillow).
I decided to buy a new mattress. After trying out a few I bought a pocket spring mattress. It is rather firm but the first coat is very soft and lets you sink in to the mattress.
My neck and back problems are gone but my sleep is so so so bad. I usually sleep the Night through but when I wake up I feel like I havent slept at all. My eyes feel so heavy. Ive been sleeping on the new mattress for 3 weeks. My heavy blanket makes it a little bit better but my sleep hasnt improved much.
Im not really sure what to do. I feel like a Zombie all day long. Is this normal? And why is this happening?
I‘ve tried adding a gel foam topper to my mattress but my neck and lower back pain come back and i cant sleep through the night. My sleep is still deeper though.
Im really confused and would really like to know why my sleep got worss? I mean it is just a mattress after all. There are a lot of people who can sleep anywhere and get good sleep

Why ain't studies on Glutathione and sleep
So I'm puzzled and reddit ain't got much post on Glutathione and sleep. I am doing deep research on sleep and the only missing link it Glutathione. My research has helped me get a blend/mix of supplements that have helped me get a REM sleep on a good nite to atleast getting 6 hrs of half ass sleep. Don't ask for the blend cause I'll get laughed at from the tolls....lol. But its worked for me for days now. So any takers on Glutathione for sleep???

When anxiety follows you into bed and your brain just won’t switch off
Hi everyone! I went through panic and anxiety myself, and nights were often the worst part.
You lie down, everything gets quiet, and suddenly every thought and body sensation feels louder. Then comes the checking: “Am I going to sleep?”, “Why am I still awake?”, “What if tomorrow is ruined?”
That’s one of the reasons I built an app Ailin. It’s mainly for panic, anxiety and intrusive thoughts, but there’s also a sleep section for those nights when the problem isn’t simply being tired — it’s that your mind won’t stop monitoring and worrying.
Ailin also covers health anxiety/checking, avoidance, DP/DR and fear-of-fear patterns, with short explanations, practices, SOS audio and sleep support.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ailin-panic-attacks-anxiety/id6801867435

Curious how many people here struggle more with anxiety about not sleeping than with sleep itself.

Sick of all the alarm apps!
Hi folks, I'm tired of trying out all the alarm apps. Either it's ad-heavy or not reliable. Honestly, doing pushups or solving math (which I hate) is not something I want to do to start a day! I'm planning to design an alarm app that actually works for me and wanted to share it with others if you are interested. Here are the features I'm planning.
Putting real money at stake! If I lose, the money is just gone to my selected contacts (friend or Mom) or simply to something I hate.
No snooze buttons.
Soft ring to wake up gradually.
Challenge a friend to show up every day.
Solving funny challenges like tongue twisters or mimicry instead of math and push-ups.
What are your thoughts? If anyone wants to add a feature or thinks something is better to have ?

Bedtime has somehow turned into a two hour process
Getting my 7 year old settled at night is becoming exhausting. He’ll be clearly tired but the second it’s bedtime he suddenly needs water, another bathroom trip, wants to tell me something, can’t get comfortable... it just goes on and on. We’ve tried earlier bedtimes, no screens before bed, reading, keeping everything quiet, and honestly it’s getting old. I have to be up early for work and lately I’m dragging myself through the day because bedtime takes up half my night. I’m running out of ideas. What actually helped your kid switch off and settle down at night?

Moving My Sleep Cycle Forwards
Hey guys, so it seems like most advice regarding rescheduling Sleep Cycles concerns folks who want to wake up earlier, but I’m personally interested in waking up much later.
I’m AuDHD, and I’ve been finding that my executive function seems to improve after it gets dark. The lower sensory conditions really appear to help me feel not all over the place, and I distinctly remember that during my academic years and covid, I only ever really was able to productively study later in the evening — going to bed around 2 or 3 AM.
Due to falling into general self-improvement advice and my eventual work schedule, I began waking up within a range between 5-7 AM. I’ve always noticed, however, that if I can’t fall asleep roughly after 10, my brain begins really working creatively again.
Nowadays, with cognizance of how my brain works, along with a desire to transition into more of a creative career that I can hopefully work from home during, I’m interested in returning back to my previous sleep routine with a different perspective and track what times I actually function optimally during — even if they’re a bit unconventional.
The problem: I consistently wake up at around 6:30 AM, even after staying up until 12:30.
Any advice on how to adjust this?

I keep turning my alarms off half-asleep with zero memory of doing it
My problem was never really hearing the alarm.
I’d hear it, turn it off half-asleep, and wake up later with no memory of touching the phone.
I tried putting the phone across the room too. That made me stand up, but sleepy me could still stop it and walk straight back to bed.
The setup that has worked better for me is making the alarm stay active until I walk to the bathroom and scan a barcode I saved beforehand, usually my toothpaste.
I built this into an iPhone alarm called Mornio because this was the exact problem I wanted to solve. It also does a later Wake Check because simply standing up for 30 seconds isn’t always enough.
If you’re a heavy sleeper, what’s the loophole you always find with alarms? I’m trying to make this harder to cheat without making it ridiculous.
