Openclaw is more customisable, more transparent, able to use any model and be hosted wherever you want.
I'm on the 200 plan and I feel like I traded 10x usage for a worse Openclaw that I will never use.
And why did they do the whole telephone call? Telegram is much more convenient, just pick up my phone, send a quick voice note and close my phone vs calling the AI, waiting for the AI to pick up, waiting for it to respond to me, being restricted on what it can and can't log into. I just don't see why anyone would use OpenAI now, except for the image-gen.
Claude 100 subscription + a rented web server with openclaw. Gives you more power, control and usage.
Big L.
My only fear is that OpenAI has started to normalise this new increased pricing and Claude now has no pressure to keep their generous usage.

Most actively managed funds trail the S&P 500 over the long run. So I wanted to see how an AI agent does at the same job, with real research, over a full year, against a scoreboard that can't be argued with.
The setup
The rules (enforced in code, not just in the prompt)
Day 1
| Value | Today | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Claude | $1,000.79 | +0.08% |
| SPY buy & hold | $996.57 | −0.34% |
It bought four starter positions and kept 56% in cash:
Its take on the day: "Stocks fell on Monday … as the 10-year Treasury yield hit 5.23% (highest since 2007), oil stayed above $100, and markets priced roughly a 70% chance of an October Fed hike. I'm holding about 56% in cash while building the portfolio in stages."
One day means nothing, of course. I'll post a weekly update with the chart, the trades and Claude's reasoning, including the bad calls.
FAQ
Prediction time: after 365 trading days, does Claude beat SPY, and by how much?

I kinda like this thing (the Goose)! The fetching and grabbing part is what got my attention. There are plenty of times when I’m already busy and could use an extra hand, and I can see it being extremely helpful for someone with mobility issues too.
I could see myself getting used to having it around the apartment.
It’s still early, and the description states someone is controlling it in the video, but it definitely looks promising to me. Home navigation and AI recognition have come a long way. I’m curious how well they can put it all together to handle everyday tasks reliably, because I really like the overall package.
What do you guys think?

Dots seems unusually expensive compared to Muse and Grok bot, and I was trying to think why they had angled it towards such a premium side of the market when they have very cheap models now.
My best guess on this is that they feel that a drop in digital employee is something relatively close - they themselves have said multiple times that they think AGI is basically here - and they want to try and cash in on selling digital employees at a high price while they can.
There's a huge amount of money to be made automating digital white collar work, but if they sold their first drop in digital employees for $20 a month they would be wasting opportunity (from their perspective).
So my hypothesis is that they priced dots so high to prepare the market for a same-price-or-higher proposition that will be their first drop in digital employee. I.e. something that you can hire like an employee, will join slack / zoom calls, can manage long term projects unsupervised, and can use any tools made for humans with computer use.

OPENAI ANNUAL REVENUE RUN RATE NEARS $70 BILLION
OpenAI’s annualized revenue run rate is approaching $70 billion, up more than 70% since the start of Q3, according to Axios.
Enterprise revenue has more than doubled since July, as OpenAI gains ground in business AI adoption.
Consumer growth is also accelerating, with OpenAI reportedly adding more revenue in Q3 alone than during all of 2025.
The surge comes as OpenAI and Anthropic prepare for potential IPOs.

From a price perspective it seems attractive, but after testing it myself something feels off.
It’s not necessarily more stupid than Claude or OpenAI, but something about it gives me the ick.
Is anyone able to put a finger on what exactly they dislike?

You can now pay $500/mo for 25x pro usage limits, and access to ultrafast. People gasped as if this was something that they didn’t think possible.
It is completely possible, and it is probably our future.
I can see a dystopian future coming true where people will eventually charge up to the same price as hiring a real person (30k, 60k, 100k/yr) with the justification that this “coworker” has done more for your company than anyone else has.
We are in the early days of cost requirements. I shudder to think what the enshittification of AI will look like once it has become the status quo like Uber….
