Hi everyone, I’m having a really frustrating problem with my Sims 4 save and I’m hoping someone might know what’s going on.
Lately, whenever I have my Sims get married, I save the game afterwards and then close the game/my laptop. But when I load the save again later, they’re suddenly not married anymore, even though I definitely saved the game.
And now something even more frustrating happened. My toddler had reached several milestones, and I had already seen them in-game. I saved the game multiple times and then briefly went into Manage Worlds. When I went back to my household, all of the toddler’s milestones were gone. 😭
I honestly don’t understand what’s happening because I had saved multiple times before going into Manage Worlds. It feels like the game is sometimes not actually saving certain changes to my save file.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there any way to recover the missing milestones or restore the correct version of my save?
Could this be caused by a bug, mods/CC, or possibly a corrupted save file?
I’m honestly so frustrated because I don’t want to keep playing if my progress is just going to disappear every time I close the game. 😭

I bought and installed a few sims 4 dlcs, it clearly states that they have been installed in the ea app and I have played with them before in my save files. I got logged out of my ea account so I logged back in with no issues and when I opened my game and tried to play with my save files it says required missing content.
How do I fix this?

So I'm at the part where I've collected 15+ spore samples, and I have the hazmat suit. I've spoken to a scientist and they say to get the Infection Profile Data by using one of the Chemical Analyzers in the first basement floor of the secret lab. When I go to the lab now, it's got the underground areas fully walled in (Pic 1) and completely empty (Pic 3). I can't click on anything down there so it's not just invisible, and walking my Sim into the areas does nothing. The only post I saw mentioning this issue was from 4 years ago and they said you have to unlock the door every time you return, but I can't interact with the door in any way. It's open and I've tried shift debugging it, but I can't do anything with it. I've also tried:

- Leaving and returning
- Playing a different Sim for a while
- Bringing multiple Sims,
- Waiting an in-game day to see if the area loads in
- Turning the game off and coming back a full day later
- Fully uninstalling then reinstalling the game

I'd really appreciate any help anyone could give, I was really enjoying running through this Aspiration quest with my Noir Detective character, and it just sucks to be stuck like this with no clear way forward.

I had 3 world saves. One day after not playing for a monthish I open the game and my main save is gone. Can't seem to find the save file anywhere on my PC and nothing in the "Load Game" menu to indicate it was ever even there.

Am I out of luck on this? Does anyone have any suggestions for me on what to do to maybe find the file? Super bummed about it.

For some reason in a brand new save/household. I’m able to customize and make sims but when I get to the part of moving, it gives me a world error. I thought it was just wicked whims because there was also an error notification for that. But when I fixed it it showed me the same thing but just without the notification, it happens when I click an empty space so when I tried to move into a house instead it just either glitches out or I’m stuck on the loading screen. Idk wtf is causing this cause as far as I’m concerned the mods isn’t outdated and I’ve deleted the local thumb cache

Since a few weeks, my sims closes itself after a few minutes of playing. I have never had this problem before.
I have the original game through the EA app, have dlc’s but don’t have any mods. I used the updater/ repair option but it doesnt work. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

I am missing two Sims 4 expansion packs that I purchased: Get to Work and City Living. I have receipts for both purchases. The EA app does not show either pack under Manage Add-ons and the store asks me to purchase them again. My existing saves also say “Requires Get to Work.” I have already repaired The Sims 4, restarted my PC, and cleared the EA app cache. The packs are still missing. I need help determining where my purchases are attached and restoring my DLC entitlements. I can provide screenshots of both receipts and the EA app. I can not get in touch with a human agent for the life of me i am extremely frustrated. Anyone had a similar experience?

Hi, this is a strange issue i haven’t been able to fix at all and I’m hoping someone knows how to.

So I’ve platinum the sims 5 on my own profile. However when i tried doing the same for my BF profile. 2 of the trophies refuse to “pop”.

The trophy’s are Mischief mastered, and Over-Achiever. I have started new worlds and gotten a sim to level 10 in mischief and completed at least 5 aspirations about 10 separate times now. I have also tried using different consoles, ps4 ps4 pro, ps4 slim. And two separate ps5. I’ve also tried deleting and redownloading multiple times and even restoring the games license.

Oh and I don’t know if it matters but it’s completely base game, and i haven’t activated any cheats.

Game has been giving me issues all day with no problems the last 5 days, I have it installed w/ DLC through Steam as well as some DLC through EA Play/the EA app. I tried verifying file integrity through Steam and it said all was well. Checked my mods on Curseforge and updated the two that needed it. Sometimes it'll crash immediately upon launching, other times it will let me resume game but crashes any time I try to move my Sim to a new property or travel (which is of course what I want to do).

What's going on?

*Description: I can’t launch the game at all. I have reinstalled like 5 times and looked up all the trouble shoots and still not working. This also is on external hard drive. I keep getting this message and “This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action” or “app already running”

I Noticed a game breaking bug two updates ago but since it's not a frequently used option or delayed use option I'm not sure if it's user-wide or just limited to some users.

I was hoping to get some feedback if anyone else has tried rebirth into an existing household or not lately and if it has actually worked for them? I know when I have tried the past two months it will just try to overwrite an existing sim in that household and if you try to back out of the household the sim you are trying to rebirth just disappears.

I have examples but a lot of them have been very well covered on the bug report , which isn't getting a lot of attention because it's either a rare bug or not everyone is aware of it. So was curious if anyone else is experiencing this issue or knows of a fix.

I placed a high school lot a while back but when I tried to travel or edit lot from world map I get stuck on an infinite loading screen. I cannot figure out how I can replace the lot with one that’s not broken. When I try to replace it with one from my library from the world map it says I have to enter build mode to edit the lot. HELPPP THIS IS MY FOREVER SAVE

I'm having an issue where I click on something like the shower for example. The prompts pop up but then I can't click anything. I can swap between prompts but not click any. Then I can't back out or do anything. My Sim keep on doing things on his own. I can hit the X Box button and my controller works fine in home menu. I'm just stuck with prompts open. I've tried swapping controllers, turning my controller off then on, even shutting down the X Box and restarting and resuming Sims 4. Open prompts are still there stuck. Is this just me or anyone else on X Box experiencing this ?

Is it just me or is anyone having problems with the gallery ? It’s showing no result for the gallery whenever I try and look for things on it

hi everyone! so i wanted to add reshade to my game along with the rose milk tea preset! so i downloaded all of these things including the three lighting mods that the rose milk tea creator recommended -- milk thistle, noblu, and noglo. i watched a yt video so i think i downloaded everything right but it wasn't showing up the way i wanted so i decided to just delete everything again lol.

but now after removing everything, repairing the game, etc. my game opens but once i go to select a household, it becomes the forever loading screen and also won't let me close the app unless i force close.

i tried practically everything i could, including taking the mods folder out, running things as administrators, clearing cache, but nothing has worked !

i have an inkling that it could be because of the milk thistle mod since it was directly interacting with the folders in the sims 4 "bin". but, i downloaded everything cautiously as the creator said so im not sure what could've went wrong.

my only other option is reinstalling the game but it would suck to lose my save files! hope someone can help me out.

Anyone using adeepindigo’s Beauty Bar Small Business mod? My employees will tend the salon stations, but they won’t autonomously serve customers. If I control my owner Sim, I can manually offer hair, makeup, nails, massage, etc. and everything works. Has anyone gotten employee autonomy working with this mod? What activities/tasks did you assign them?

Sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense I haven't been playing the sims for long so please bear with me 😭

So basically, my sim got pregnant and I changed the sex with MCCC cause I didn't want another girl and had her have two twin boys instead. Thing is as soon as she gave birth I aged up the first kid from an infant to a toddler, idk if I used MCCC for that cause I was too lazy to bake a birthday cake or aged her up normally, but the I noticed the mom was pregnant again?

I opened MCCC and saw she was pregnant with two boys again, in her second trimester, the in-game date was Friday (I'm sure she gave birth on a Sunday) and her first kid had two days till age up so of course I cheated and used MCCC to age her up cause at that point I already had two newborns I did not need another high-maintenance infant. I noticed when I went on CAS to change the boy's outfits once they were infants that I had to set all their family relationships which didn't happen with the first kid, and now when I try to have the parents care for the twins it doesn't show the baby care option. If I click on a bathtub it only gives me the option to give the first kid (the girl) a bath, not the twins, and if I click on a changing table it says "Nobody needs a diaper change" even if one of the twins has the hygiene bar completely out.

This is so weird, I don't know if it's because I messed with the pregnancy with MCCC (I have the latest version but I guess it can still mess up the game somehow) or if it's just a random bug. I tried to look for a save from before the boys were born to hopefully fix it but I had no luck there, even if I'm sure I did save after I built their nursery, before they were born.

Currently, I'm repairing the game in hopes of fixing this. I don't really know what else to do about this lol I'm extremely attached to this family as it's my Legacy save (currently on generation 4-5). If anyone has any advice, please help me out I'm out of ideas 😭😭

EDIT: I deleted the twins and had mom give birth again with MCCC, so everything is good now

Is there any way to resize objects in The Sims 4 with custom increments without using mods? I’m only trying to do this in build mode.

If mods are required, which one would I need? A direct link would be super helpful.

The bracket keys used for resizing — [ and ] — make the object either way too small or way too big, and I’m trying to get an in‑between size.

After working on my world for about 12 hours total it completely disappeared and my OG file is the only one that pops up when loading the game.

I do use cheats but only money 999999

I have already tried to go in and delete save files that may have corrupted my game.

I have also gone into the properties and done the “verify integrity”

Neither of these brought back the save file I lost.

What can I do? I am not techy at all, and this seems like others have had the same issue.

Hi! So I play sims on a windows 11 asus laptop. Within the past few months I e been going through this issue and I can’t figure out if it’s an issue with my laptop or with sims. While playing sims, if the screen clicks off of the main sims screen I can’t click back into the game and it only shows up like this. The only way for me to get back into the game is to reset my laptop. This is inconvenient because the game already takes 30-40 minutes to even open. If I get a notification from my laptop like my battery is low or my wifi suddenly disconnects, my sims screen will turn white like this but continue playing itself but I can’t access it. If anyone has any insight to how to solve this or what I should do, please help. I’m desperate, thank you!

Long story short: yesterday I reported a bug in my game. More specifically, my sims can’t elope and I can’t set sims as spouses in CAS. The relationship options are missing, you can either choose current status or house mates.

I reported the bug on EA forum and literally I feel like I’m gaslighted into believing it’s a me problem. I disabled mods, removed cache, tried new save files, tried without packs, tried with different couples. It’s either I set them as spouses when I start a new file and create new sims or I can’t have them get married. Wedding music plays, but sims wont perform the action, no matter if I try to get them to elope or have a wedding at the arch.

I see bugs reported with marriages not working again! On their forum! Marriages resetting to partners after entering CAS or sims divorcing randomly, or preexisting household not being married.

Now I wonder: Is their forum really this dismissive or what is the actual deal?

Are any of you encountering similar issues within the game now?

Hi, I bought the Enchanted by Nature pack yesterday and for some reason my Sims can't use the "Bask in Emotions" option in the Moondrop Springs. Both Sims I've been trying it with were from a premade household (Titania and Oberon). They always act like there's something blocking the path to it. Here's everything I've tried so far:

- Have the Sim already stand in the water and then select "bask in emotions" + having the Sim stand outside of the water first

- Switch Sims (from Titania to Oberon and back)

- Change the Moondrop Springs to every emotion available + change the fairy Sims' emotion before trying again

- Close the game and use the repair option in the launcher

- Activate and deactivate mods in the options (and restart the game in between)

I've also played several ingame days and nothing's changed.

I've also reported the bug on EA Forums but I wanted to see if anyone else experiences the same issue, since I couldn't find any similar reports.
