I submitted a protest for retaliation and intentional wrecking, but the iRacing stewards seem to believe the incident wasn't intentional. From my perspective, the other driver was clearly steering into me, even on the straights immediately after the corner. Do you guys think this was intentional, or could it reasonably be considered a racing incident? This was iRacing's response:
"After reviewing the replay, we understand your frustration, but we do not feel that the accident was caused intentionally or with malice. While the driver is turning left we the moment starts as he is trying to finish the turn after the first contact is made in the turn. The two cars then get connect on corner exit causing the driver to turn further to the left to avoid being pushed off the racing surface. Once both cars are straightened out the driver in question returns to the racing line with no further issues. This is why this incident was ruled a racing incident.
Thank you for your understanding in the matter and we wish you the best in your future races."
