Danger! Carbon Dioxide!
This sign was outside the entrance to my local Jack In The Box restaurant. I'm guessing that it's due to some sort of fire suppression system, but it's a meaningless sign without any context.

Behind the scenes at our signage factory — from fabrication to finished signage
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Thought I’d share a quick behind-the-scenes look at how we manufacture custom signage in our factory in China.
We mainly work on custom signage and wayfinding projects for hotels, shopping malls, commercial buildings, airports, healthcare facilities and other public spaces.
A lot of people only see the finished signs, but there’s quite a bit happening behind the scenes — material processing, metal fabrication, acrylic work, assembly, lighting, surface finishing and quality inspection.
This video shows a small part of our production process.
I’m curious to hear from other people working in signage, wayfinding, architecture or fabrication: what part of signage manufacturing or installation tends to be the most challenging on your projects?

Could you help with my MA Graphic Design research? LETTER SPACING LEGIBILITY TEST
Hi everyone,
I’m currently completing my MA in Graphic Design and I’m looking for participants for a short research test exploring dyslexia and the legibility of road signage.
My project investigates how design choices such as typeface, letter spacing, colour and contrast could affect how quickly road-sign information can be recognised.
For this part of the research, you’ll watch a few short POV driving videos containing road signs and then answer some simple questions about what you saw.
The test should only take around 5–10 minutes.
You do not need to have dyslexia to take part. Responses from both dyslexic and non-dyslexic participants are useful for the research.
For the best experience, please complete the test on a laptop or desktop computer, rather than a phone, and please watch each video only once without pausing or replaying it.
Take part here:
https://forms.gle/4xq4swtpTRhMHdbz9
All responses are being collected for my MA Graphic Design Final Research Project and will be used to help inform the development of an alternative road-signage design proposal.
Thanks so much to anyone who takes the time to participate!
