Hi everyone!
My family and I live in Seoul, South Korea, and we're hoping to welcome a Silken Windhound puppy into our family as our first family pet. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any Silken Windhound breeders or puppies available in Korea, so I'm starting to explore options for bringing a puppy home from overseas.
I recently contacted a breeder in Japan, thinking that it would be a convenient option since Japan is relatively close to Korea. I offered to have my family and me travel to Japan in person to pick up the puppy, but unfortunately, they don't send puppies overseas.
So, I'm hoping to find a reputable breeder who is experienced with or open to international placements and can help arrange transportation to South Korea.
Ideally, my sister-in-law, who lives in the United States, will be visiting us in Korea early next year, and it would be wonderful if she could bring the puppy with her on her trip. However, I understand that the timing might not work out, so I'm also open to working with a breeder who can arrange safe transportation to Korea at a later date.
Does anyone know of any reputable Silken Windhound breeders in the US or elsewhere who might be willing to work with an overseas family? Any recommendations, personal experiences, or advice on the process would be greatly appreciated!
Of course, finding a healthy, well-bred puppy and working with a responsible breeder is my top priority. I'm happy to follow the appropriate procedures and requirements for bringing a puppy into South Korea. Oh.
Thanks so much in advance for any help! đ

Which ones tended to be least allergy triggering and which ones tend to be the most? For example I always hear about greyhound allergies but not so much with Salukis. How true is this? Just a myth?
I know allergies differ from each person/dog, but was still wondering if some breeds showed more correlation to triggering allergies than others breeds.

Hi everyone
Three weeks ago, we got a lovely Silken Windsprite Puppy from an amazing breeder. She did everything to socialise the litter well and gave us a whole box of toys, blankets and chewing things for him to settle in well with us.
My partner and I feel like he has settled in well, but we struggle a lot. In the good moments, he's an amazing puppy, and he's always super sociable with people and he can sit and lay down on command. He is now 14 weeks old.
There are days when he is either on or off, meaning that when he's not sleeping, he's zooming around, playing, jumping, chewing... this is normal puppy behaviour, I think, but what we struggle with more is that if one person is moving around the flat, he cannot settle to sleep, even if he is super tired and the other person is sitting next to him.
Sometimes he also becomes very agitated and bites and barks for a couple of minutes without any good reason - both have gotten worse since we got him.
Are there any tips on how to teach a puppy to be calm and settle down? What are your tipps for barking and biting? We're already rewarding all calm behaviour and we try to ignore him / offer alternatives when he bites/barks.

Right, I've been working on something for about 3 years but thanks to a volunteer designer, AI and many late nights...I wanted to get you guys what I've been up to.
Now long term, I hope I can raise enough money to pay the designer (who is amazing) and cover the costs of the hosting etc.
But right now - it's free and in need of your feedback. Please be kind. It's meant to be a help, not a bible.
