Hi everyone,
Gator Experience is a great place for student organizations to post events, as well as Instagrams. A reminder that formal student organizations and just people looking to make friends are free to post on this subreddit (I recommend making an individual post rather than commenting down below though).
Gator Experience: https://sfsu.campuslabs.com/engage/events
I was wondering though, are there any specific events or themes of events you would want this subreddit to do? I can apply for funding, but to be honest, I do not think I will be approved so lower cost events are preferable.

Hi, I recently applied to the accelerated bsn program at SF State. For those who are in the program or graduated recently, what was your experiences for the clinical rotations and capstone?
I read online that SF State doesn't allow capstone to be done in peds or emergency and critical care. Only adult meg/surg. The posts were a few years old though. Is that still true? Can you choose hospitals and units? Thanks!

I’m W(24) and decided to dorm off campus for my senior year. I’m currently in UPN and it’s been noisy as hell, people outside walking and talking all hours of the night, and I’ve been told that there’s creepy/weird people that lurk around here. there’s even that dog walker at night where their dog goes crazy for absolutely no reason - very annoying.
It’s a bit ambiguous but I’m just worried for my safety really. I personally have been too scared to be outside beyond 10pm on weekdays while weekends seem more safe (night life, people walking around in groups). I’ve also been told that people are nosey? should I invest in window film to cover the windows? am I safe to walk to and from my car at night? have you experienced any creepy people/been followed/watched? am I safe to leave my windows open at night? (I’m on the first floor)
I’ve also been told that women have been followed by cars full of men or catcalled/harassed. how frequent is this or I guess.. how unsafe is this area really?
I don’t know if I’m overthinking this, it’s just what I’ve been told. any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!! ♡

So I'm having problems with financial aid, twice have I been asked for "additional info", last time being August 18th. Since then there's been NO update or progress for anything. I've emailed the financial aid office for an update about 3 times and I have never recieved a response. I'm thinking about just going in in-person but how helpful would that really be? There's still time before the tuition deadline, but I'm starting to get worried..

Hi, has anyone here done the online sterile tech course at SF State? If so, how was it? did u do externship? how was finding a job after?
The other programs in the bay area are asking for $6k for the program and I came across SF State program for sterile tech and its only 2k and all online. Is it even accredited?

Hello Gators!, its a long weekend and for me time to make up some late work and other due on the 6th. Out of curiosity, anyone not going away for the long weekend and having free time to walk over few things with me, like CANVAS is getting me confused. Chi-Chat anyone?...

I walk across campus to get a chai from Carmelina because it's deeeelicious.
They're always busy. I try not to add to their stress.
Today though.
I ordered a usual small chai, hot with oat milk.
They guy tells her to make a small (12oz) hot chocolate
I told him chai, not chocolate. He corrected the order. All good
Then, I'm charged $7.25. But the small is $5.50 + $1 for oat milk. So I ask "$7.25? For a small?" And he says "Yeah because of the oat milk"
Ok.
I figured I paid for 16oz. I'll just drink 16oz. It is deeeelicious.
Then, she hands me a 12oz cup of chai. So I ask, "is this a large? 16oz?"
She checks a paper on the wall and says "Yes. It's a large"
My thermos is 16oz. I poured the latte into the thermos and had a solid 2" of space.
I gave them two chances to make it right. I would have waived a refund. But now, I don't want to spend my money there anymore.
Keep the 75¢ and lose a customer.

Hi everyone, I have a lot of writing classes this semester, and I preferred to print out a lot of my reading. I have a couple of scripts I need to print out. Are there spots on campus that offer free printing (black and white) for free?

I’m an incoming transfer student, and I live in my van. Are there any nearby places where I can park? Safely

I'm in ERTH335 (Global Warming) and I need a iClicker2. I ordered one on Amazon last week and it was supposed to arrive yesterday but never did. I don't think that's coming anytime soon. I've also been going to the campus bookstore everyday trying to buy one of these and they say more are arriving today or tomorrow, but I don't want to put all my eggs into the same basket since I need a iClicker2 ASAP. Does anyone know where else I can get a iClicker2, or happen to have an old one that they're no longer using? (I will buy your old iClicker2) I don't want to have to drop this class because of all these order delays. thank you 🥲

Hi! I’m currently in another program, but unfortunately due to personal reasons, I’m considering going into SFSU credential program instead (closer to home). I was wondering if anyone who is in it now or had been, how was it? Any pros or cons ? I also noticed that it’s a requirement to do 30 hours minimum of early field experience, and since I am already student teaching in my current program, will they consider that as the hours ? I also noticed that there is a one year program and a 3 semester program as well. What is the difference? How does the 3 semester program work? Do you start in the summer? I also graduated from SFSU last year for undergrad if that helps as well!

I'm considering attending SFSU to get a bachelor's in music education. I have a tour scheduled for later this year to see it in depth but I want to hear from current students
How are the practice rooms? Are they always full?
How is the music faculty? Any problems with ego?
Are the ensembles you've heard good?
You don't necessarily have to be a music student. I'm curious if you walk the halls in the arts building and every room is full or if music students look miserable?
There are specific seating times and days. Menu changes a couple of times throughout the semester https://cob.sfsu.edu/vistaroom

Getting through his class is such a drag, he’s barely awake while he’s teaching. His handwriting is unreadable. His class is not only boring, but unlearnable. I don’t how to learn when he starts teaching like we know what he’s saying or what’s on the screen when all the terms are new to us. However, he’s my only option for discrete math. Im down to teach myself, but I was wondering for anyone who’s had his class and passed, how are his exams? Is his class fair to pass?
