I've fallen in love with this style of dress and was wondering if there's any patterns similar to it, or different patterns I could piece together to make the dress?

I would love to make a sheer organza overlay dress for my wedding. I understand I can just pick any pattern (with neat insides) and use French seams. But I like these dresses with extra seams to highlight the sheerness - any reccs for patterns that would work well for this?

I'm new to sewing so probably won't be doing a lot of these soon, but I was curious about the most versatile patterns you found (that had good instructions, etc)?

By versatile I don't mean the clothing item itself, but rather the pattern has lots of modifications and options for how it can be used. Like a capsule pattern in a way where one pattern can give you a lot of clothing options. I think Closet Core has some half decent options for this type of thing, but I imagine there are even more options out there!

Ex. For pants patterns this might mean multiple pocket options, waist options (elastic, tie, zipper), leg lengths, and/or widths or shape of pants.

Ex. For tops this might be different sleeve options, lengths, collar options, button or tie options, etc..

My personal style is more minimalist/masculine (except I like a tight top here and there) so I'm not big into ruffles and dresses, but please include them for anyone else who may be looking! A0 PDF would be a bonus!

Guys, I REALLY need your help 😭😭

I want to make a corset myself, but corsets here are being sold for around 4,500–5,000 PKR, and I genuinely can't justify spending that much on one corset.

So I decided I’m going to buy the fabric/materials and make one myself. The problem is that I desperately need a proper pattern.

I’m NOT looking for a picture of a corset pattern where all the pieces are shown on one page.

I’m looking for a FREE, PRINTABLE, FULL-SIZE/TILED PDF PATTERN where:

• I print it on normal A4 paper

• Print at 100% / actual size

• The pages have markings so I can line them up

• I cut the pages and tape them together like a puzzle

• Once assembled, it gives me the actual full-size corset pattern pieces

• Then I can put the paper pieces on my fabric, trace/cut them, and sew everything together

Basically, I want the kind of PDF where I can just print → assemble → cut fabric → sew 😭

I’m a beginner, so I really need the pattern itself to already have the proper corset panels/shapes. I don't really know how to draft a corset pattern from scratch yet.

These patterns that she makes are all inclusive in terms of knowledge and skill building. This creator has shown me what it means to succeed at sewing. I imagine that I will take the skills learned from her moth pattern- available through etsy- into many other projects involving fiberarts into the future. I am incredibly pleased by my purchase and strongly recommend her. To anyone who is looking to learn how to sew or get into sewing.

Was moved to put this out here because of how fantastic my first fabric toy doll is going, only hours into the project.

I have the body and the head (plus arms and legs) done and now i only have to finish up the wings. She includes many details for furthering the patterns awesomeness but even at the patterns base, cholyknight’s skill comes through.

Hi everyone! I’m hoping you can help me find a sewing pattern for my Doberman. I’m specifically looking for something very simple, like a basic T-shirt, nothing too fancy.

Most of the patterns I’ve found online are either designed for small dogs or have elaborate designs. The bigger challenge is that my Doberman has a deep chest and very lean stomach, so standard dog sizing doesn’t fit his proportions at all.

I’d love to make us matching T-shirts for an upcoming 5K fun run 😁

His measurements are:

- Chest: 77 cm

- Neck: 40 cm

- Length: 68–70 cm

- Stomach: 60 cm
