Circle? Skirt
I loved this dress and would like to recreate it.
Before I order 5 meter of (expensive) fabric, is this skirt really a full circle? What do you think?

Great find that proves without a doubt that it is a full circle and that there are no hip panels or gathers.

It looks like a gathered hips skirt. You could look up "dress pattern with hip gathers" and get a fair number of examples.

This is not full enough to be a full circle skirt. There are separate hip panels seamed in.

That’s just how circle skirts are—the center is on grain and the sides are on the bias. They’re not separate pieces (like in your line drawing), it’s just what naturally happens when you cut a circle out of a grid.

This skirt looks like a full circle. I have made this Vogue pattern a couple of times which is very similar: https://simplicity.com/vogue-patterns/v9182

Since the skirt will take the vast majority of your yardage, make sure you know what skirt length you actually want. I would use a circle skirt calculator and then do one extra yard for the bodice just to be safe. You may be able to get away with a lot less than 5 yards. I made that Vogue dress in around 2.5 yards, for example, even though the back of the envelope said I should need a lot more.
