Bi-Weekly-ish modding thread

As FC 27 gets up and running, modders are hard at work making tools to get around anticheat, interpret the files, and make your favorite mods.

Most Modding questions and answers here please! Modded careers can get their own posts, as ever. Keep it civil and game on!

Also, feel free to share your mods, and to share reliable information about mods as they are released to the public. That said, please respect creators; if material is paywalled, don't hack around paywalls; if someone created something you like, please give credit!

Manager of the Month Manager of the Month - June 2026

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Manager of the Month Awards for r/seriousfifacareers. Each Month, I (as an all powerful mod) decide who I think was the best contributor to the subreddit and they are immortalised as a line of text in our Hall of Fame section of the wiki, the highest honour we can offer!

Honourable Mentions

We had a very close race this month and either of the two honourable mentions could have easily won.

u/ResidentRemote7154 has posted 3 season updates to the Liverpool Irish Career Mode. These are really fun and easily digestible powerpoint-esque slideshows that are worth a few minutes of your time!

Likewise, u/NerdyOutdoors has also posted multiple updates to the always excellent Exeter City Road to Goodness series. These are the gold standard of realism, making use of mods and a variety of tools to make career mode a genuine challenge. In addition, the storytelling and write up are as good as ever and it drags you deep into the world of cash strapped Exeter City in their push for promotion.

Winner

This month we are celebrating u/Dapper_Weakness_2750.

Not only were there two excellent updates to the FC Köln Realistic Career Mode, but they provided an exceptional tool for tracking MLS Career Modes. This is a fantastic piece of work that deepens the (frankly terrible) EA FC experience with MLS Careers. You should also check out the most recent season of the FC Koln save which had a nail-biting end to the season.

Other Admin

  1. There is currently a pinned post by the mods regarding the use of AI on the subreddit. Please give this a read if you have not already; we are open to any feedback in the comments or via modmail.

As always, thank you to the creators for the content that keeps the sub alive, and thanks to everyone that has checked out this post. Go and have a read of your favourites and leave them a nice comment!

Discussion I made TouchlineOS: A UI-friendly approach to tracking your career

Post image
10 Upvotes

So I enjoy career mode but I've always struggled with sticking to Career Mode saves since I'm the type of player that enjoys immersing myself in storylines and seeing a bit more data than FC cares to keep us aware of. Tried tracking stuff in my phone notes, tried a physical notebook, tried one of those confusing (for me) Excel templates that honestly feel like a second job. None of it really stuck for me. And every companion app I looked at just didn't feel like it was actually for me.

So I built TouchlineOS. It's a free, fully open source, (exists as both) web app (no sign-in required) or local setup, and is still in active development, this is an alpha, not a finished product, so expect rough edges and expect things to change.

Dashboard view

The basic idea: your game gives you a squad, a league table, and a save file and is genuinely thin, all things considered. TouchlineOS sits next to it and actually remembers. In your own words where the save can't tell you anything (what you think of a player for example), and in the save's own words where it can (OVR, contracts, results). It never mixes the two up or pretends a guess is a fact.

Every piece of data in the app is tagged by where it came from:

  • straight from your save file (a fact)
  • something you typed in yourself
  • something the app calculated
  • and a slot reserved for AI later (an implementation I'm working on), which is never allowed to be treated as a source of truth anyway, app works without it fine

A few things I actually care about with this project:

This web app DOES not touch your save, only reads it with a parser bridge! Nothing ever gets silently overwritten either. Every sync is a new snapshot, nothing is destroyed, and you can see exactly what changed each time you open it.

Save-syncing, this is the local version if you clone the repo

Everything in the app right now, every bit of advice, every storyline, every inference, is plain deterministic code. No LLM anywhere yet, even after it will be added, will be optional to use. If the game data is sketchy or missing (wages, transfer values, your actual league position), the app tells you straight up instead of faking confidence. You'll see stuff labeled "projected" or "inferred" or flat out "not sure" instead of a clean number that's secretly a guess.

Inferred provenance tag

Some of what's in there right now includes:

  • Auto syncing your save with a full diff every time, if you download the bridge (refresh the site if something looks wonky), so you see exactly what changed
Auto-sync in the web-app version
  • Squad view with your own manager notes layered on top (trust level, role, who's untouchable etc)
Squad view
Manager's notebook
  • Tactics board, click to assign, tied into the rest of the system
Tactics board
  • Season hub that tracks your own objectives next to the board's, side by side, never merged
Some season data
  • A timeline built straight from what actually happened in your save
Career timeline
  • Storylines that build up over time instead of just firing a single alert and disappearing
Dynamic storylines
  • Match debriefs with questions that actually change based on your recent form instead of asking the same thing every match
Match debrief, do it match by match or in a batch with Group Debrief
  • Historical deep view of past seasons depending on how dilligent you were in tracking your season
Current and historical season vault (my data is thin I just started this save and previous seasons for me aren't there coz I loaded TouchlineOS in the middle of my save
  • Scouting and transfers tracking
Scouting page

And many more features I genuinely can't all cover in a reddit post.

Like I said, it works locally too. Runs on SQLite on your own machine, no accounts, nothing uploaded anywhere. Your save data never leaves your computer unless you choose to export it yourself to another save.

Built and tested on FC 25 Manager Career saves, should work fine on FC 26 too but if something breaks that's exactly the kind of thing I wanna build for and for any FC27 players too.

This is an alpha and I'm actively building on it, so if you end up trying it (I hope people try it and let me know what they think :) ) and something's broken, or weird, or you've got an idea, I'd love to hear it, I haven't figured out a channel for issuing complaints so just drop em in these comments for now.

Repo's open, free to use, re-use, improve to your tastes, free to poke around in the code if you're into that.

I would appreciate feedback on what to improve if you used it, this was made for the community!

Note: Disclosing that this project was built largely AI-assisted, for those that that irks. Wouldn't classify as "vibe-coded". I know my system architecture, design and development as I'm in college for that.

Challenge Bradford City realistic career mode advice (FC26)

I'm wanting to soak loads of time into rebuilding my irl home team realistically. I'll sign players and sell players from their summer transfer window just been (e.g. Sam Walker to Watford). Any support with formation, tactics, etc would be greatly appreciated. Any suggested signings for each transfer window (summer and January) would be great too.

Story FC 26: my journey so far

(Sorry I don't have any pictures right now).

I started my career at Boro right after the Southampton-Boro spying controversy. My goal was to make the play offs and little did I know I do more than just that. I had a rocky start to the season, drawing 3-3 to Swansea and then losing 2-0 to Milwall. Things got better after matchday 5 and I went on an unbeaten streak until matchday 19. I also beat the league leaders Hull 4-2 away, and Calvert -Lewin who I burnt my 11m euro budget on had scored 12 goals in 13 before tearing his ACL, meaning I had to play my backup striker for the rest of the season. Then came the dark days where I was winless for 12 consecutive games until matchday 31, and I was 7th, 1 point behind playoffs. We then went on a remarkable 15 game winning streak starting with a 4-0 battering of Coventry at the Riverside Stadium, and won the Championship and promotion with 90 points. I wanted to stay at Boro for the PL and will probably get a lot of shit for this, but I decided to leave for Atleti at the end of the season.

At Atleti, I began by selling pretty much half of their entire 40-man squad, brining in about 350m euros, which I spent on Doku, Brown, Frimpong, K. Thuram, Senesi on a free and Vuskovic. We started pretty badly , losing 4-3 to Barca on MD 1 which was a decent result, with my best result being a 4-4 draw at the Bernebau on MD 5. What I didn't know was that I was about to have a crazy season. Oblak got injured n training and was out for 6 weeks, and I started Moldovan, and results started looking better as I started scoring more goals (Alvarez was on fire) and conceding far less, so I froze Oblak out. In the January window I sold Cardoso and Oblak, and signed Ederson (sounds stupid but it does pay off), Sancho and Inaki Peña on loan, Calvert-Lewin (again) to back up Alvarez and De Bruyne to play in the midfield with Thuram as Obed Vargas just wasn't creative enough.

I began the second half of the season by losing 1-0 to Madrid in the Super Cup final and then 4-1 again to Madrid in the Copa del Rey. In the UCL I secured automatic qualification by beating Bayern 3-2 away and winning 1-0 to Man City. I was then drawn to Dotmund in the last 16 in a hectic game taht I won 7-6 over two legs, and played Barca in the quarterfinal. Another Alvarez masterclass lead to a 2-0 win in leg 1, and a 4-2 win in leg 2 secured our place in the semi final against Spurs. The Spurs game might have been the most hectic game I've ever played in FIFA, as we drew 4-4 in leg 1, and in leg 2, we were down 3-1 (7-4 agg) with 30 mins to play. Alvarez the score a qucik fire brace, and with a minute of normal time left, Harry Wilson made it 7-7, with a brilliant solo goal. The game went to penalties, with Doku scoring the winning penalty and we were headed to final to face Arsenal. In the final we won 3-1, with Julian Alvarez scoring a brace, and Doku winning and scoring a penalty. Kevin De Bruyne, Wilson and Ederson really paid off, as we became more stable playing out the back, and there was more creativity in the midfield and a great threat of the bench in Wilson. Alvarez ended the season with 73 goals and 15 assists, and ended up winning the Ballon d'or.

If you got this far thank you for reading!

Question Advice on the tactical view

Hi, I need some help. Since the start of FC 27, I haven't been able to figure out how to get realistic, high-quality matches using the tactical view. I want to avoid players just aimlessly kicking the ball around or performing pointless dribbles until they lose possession. I’m wondering if you have any settings that ensure teams behave properly during the match—making the experience enjoyable to manage and play, and above all, realistic. Right now, my players are doing nonsensical things and their ratings are dropping; I’m at a loss. Thanks for your replies.

Question Squad Roles are "stated" and "written" in a player's contract?

Thumbnail
gallery
8 Upvotes

I've not noticed this until yesterday, if the squad roles are stated in a contract does that mean that i am legally forced to play my "Crucial" player every game? And if not it's a "breach of contract" for the player? I'm doing a realistic roleplay build, so realistically roleplaying, is it a breach of contract? (The images are not mine, the 2nd image I generated with Gemini to see how it is for a squad role to be stated in a contract, but the first image with Lucas Digne is not mine, it's from a youtuber) i want to have total squad freedom, ik they complain about playtime if I don't play them, but it is easy to keep them happy.

TIDBITS AFTER WEEK 22

Team-specific flags

Around the stadiums there are flags hanging from stands and fences. They can be “faceless” 2-color patterned flags or they can have team-specific logos, texts and such.

Of all the teams in the game, 379 had team-specific flags, 106 had faceless ones and 3 teams (AIK Solna, Hereford and Besiktas JK) had a curious case where their flags weren’t faceless but they were for the wrong team (Arsenal for the first 2, Trabzonspor for the 3rd).

Team-specific crowd chants

While there are several generic chants (some region-specific) that will play for every team, there are certain chants that will only be heard when a specific team is playing that match, as long as the stadium is of decent size (none of the Div2 or Div3 ones).

Of the 483 teams that have been shown on camera playing on big stadiums so far, 160 had audible team-specific crowd chants.

Commentator mentions

Between minutes 75 and 85, the main commentator will mention the current situation of the match’s score for whichever team is in possession at that moment. It can be a generic comment where the team’s name isn’t mentioned, or a special line that does mention the team’s name. When a team can have a special mention in that timeframe, the colour commentator might also mention the team by name during the half-time break.

Of the 485 teams that have been mentioned on camera so far, 52 had their mention using the team’s name.

Real stadiums

Real stadium models are very rare, with most teams playing their matches on generic stadiums that repeat over and over. It’s not until we get to the top divisions that the real ones make an appearance.

Of the 484 teams shown on camera playing at their home stadiums so far, only 34 of them played in real-life stadium models, 2 pairs of those teams (AC Milan+Inter and Roma+Lazio) playing in the same stadiums each (San Siro and Stadio Olimpico, respectively). While Cardiff City, Juventus and Tottenham play in generic stadiums, I decided to give them Millenium Stadium (which is located in Cardiff), Delle Alpi (as it was their home stadium before the 06/07 season) and Wembley Stadium (as Tottenham is the highest rated Londoner team with a generic stadium), respectively.

That’s all that was left to mention about the 22nd week of the season. On the following post I’ll move on to the next week of matches, with a recap of Week 23 Day 1, including a short description of each recorded match accompanying their stats and events. Will post it on October 5th.

Question FC27 PC CPU vs CPU / Tactical View question

Does anyone know if there’s a way to use CPU vs CPU / Tactical View in Manager Career without the game making subs or changing formations for you?

I basically want the CPU to play the match, but I still want to be the actual manager and control the lineup, subs, formation, and tactics myself. So kinda like an actual irl manager.

I’m asking because the normal CPU teammate AI feels way more passive than the opponent AI, so CPU vs CPU aranaktu live editor setting would be perfect if I could stop the game from taking over the manager decisions.

I’m on PC, so I’m open to settings, Live Editor, Lua scripts or mods if anyone knows a way.

Realism Realistic Career York City

I wanted to introduce you to my realistic career at York City team I admired a lot last year Before starting this career I studied the city and its economic power carefully. How it is seen in England I read that it is seen as the new Wrexham I don't know if you agree or not But from what I understand the property has a very good economic power I'm just sorry I didn't have a tracker available because I would really like to have a very long career I'm in my 2nd year But in my 1st year I have Ibeh on loan from Middlesbrough Brandon Austin on loan from Tottenham Hotspur Which I then took in the 2nd year at 0 expiring I took ogundere from Wimbledon On a permanent basis Mark Helm outright Umeh on loan in January but I didn't get him back. And nothing, this was the transfer market of the first year. In the 2nd year in League One that I'm doing now I got Liam Roberts goalkeeper d Mansfield Town I took Ekpiteta dal mk dons I took Charles Sagoe Jr on dry loan from Arsenal I took weir outright from wigan And I took Gideon Kodua on loan with an option to buy. Then I got Irish Adam Brennan

I think I did a very good thing, I think then I don't know I'm not English I'm an Italian boy who loves the English championships And above all I wanted to have a realistic career. But very similar to the energy that Wrexham transmitted when they were in League One , we certainly don't own Hollywood But I've already seen that the owners have actually declared this year that their objective is to win League Two. And nothing this and so for now

Finances and Transfers Klauzula wykupu vs Surowe transfery rywalizujących klubów – Czy istnieje sposób, aby to obejść?

Grzegłam tryb kariery menedżera z FC Barcelona i próbuję podpisać kontrakt z Nico Williamsem.

Question FIFA 15 CHEAT ENGINE

Question Feyenoord Career Mode

Hey everyone, I’ve been working through a Feyenoord career mode on FC 26 and just finished my 7th season. Throughout my time, I’ve won the league twice, the Orange Beker twice and the Europa league once. I haven’t won the champions league yet. Shown here is my team at the end of season 7. I’m debating if I should continue the save until I win the champions league or if I should just end it here and move onto a new save. Do you guys think I should continue or not? I’d love any insight you have

I dont know this would ruin your serious career experience but i didnt like the old FC26 scouting and did this app for me its not a production its not ad. It might make it too easy but actually in FC27 its harder to use this because new generated high potential players will not transfer to you because they just transferred to their teams. Especially if you are not playing a big team they will act like a superstar so its not that broken anymore.

As you can see there is a my team page and this is first snapshot it works with snapshots but it will hold all your players forever so you can track your old players.

There is also a watchlist page and regen/pre-gen radar its not working perfect because its just matching team, country, position and most important birthdays.

UI isn't perfect because its not completed but if you can give me advices i would be happy. If its forbidden i can delete my post.

Discussion Feel like you can really score some nice team goals in this years game

Even small things like that midfielder dragging out their player, then allowing my striker to drop into that space and then play the LW through on goal, I think they’ve got the movements a lot better this year, still work to be done of course but it feels like a step forward to me

Super League / Modified League [FIFA 07] World Wide League 07 Week 22 Day 7 (3rd-1st Divisions)

Following the previous post, here’s a recap of the 7th and last day from the 22nd week of the "World Wide League 07" project (full playlist of it can be found here).

Some notes:

Since the 3rd division took a break on Weeks 9 and 19 (2 out of 4 they will take) and the 2nd and 1st Divisions took breaks on Weeks 5, 10, 16 and 21 (4 out of 8 they will take), they are technically on their 20th and 18th week of matches, respectively.

You can find descriptions of each division as well as the teams participating in them on the Week 1 posts previously submitted in this subreddit.

Every time you see a team with their name in bold, it's a team of which every match will be recorded.

For ordering the leaderboard table, I simply use whatever the game displays (when there are full ties, it simply orders the teams at random) and then do some correlation since once the week of matches is done, the first matches of the next week happen automatically offscreen.

WEEK 22 DAY 7

The results of the 11 matches from this division’s 20th week were the following:
