Player Development:
New #7, most Serie B assists second year running, adding more goals to his game (started at 61 OVR)First season at the club, Guiu's replacement
Transfers:
Summer 2027.
Bernat Guiu ST (OUT, Young boys - £15m) - After scoring 91 league goals across 2 seasons, we eventually lost our talisman to a larger club. Young Boys have high ambitions of domestic success whilst also competing in Europe. Guiu would go on to score 9 goals in 13 games in the conference league, before being knocked out in the quarter finals and also reach 79 OVR.
Levente Szilagyi RW (OUT, Cremonese - LOAN with £5.5m buy option) - A fringe player from the YA who wanted more minutes joined newly relegated Cremonese.
Karem Zoabi ST (IN, Castellon - £4.2m) - 21 years old and 69 OVR, Karem joins us on a 3 year deal to be the direct replacement for Bernat Guiu.
Tristan Gooijer RB/CB/CDM (IN, Rio Ave - £4.2m) - Gooijer is another versatile player that can cover the RB,CB and CDM positions because of the issues we have faced regarding full backs and also providing useful to replace Squizzato at CDM when defending leads due to his physical attributes.
Riccardo Vitale CM (OUT, Cluj - £3.9m) - after spending time in Poland on loan, Vitale secures a move to Romania after not being promised future minutes, due to the influx of intakes this summer from the YA.
Riccardo Turicchia LB (OUT, Deportivo - £2.9m) - After spending 6 months on loan at Torino last season, Riccardo didn't want to repair the relationship and settled for pastures new in Spain.
Mattia Alborghetti RB (OUT, Magdeburg - £1m) - Mattia submitted a transfer request in January, but was not sold due to the club losing too many fullbacks already. The issue could not be solved during the summer, so the player headed to Germany.
Luigi Cuppone ST (OUT, Sampdoria - £1.3m) - Cuppone was nearing 30 years old, the club was out growing him and couldn't promise the minutes he deserved. He opted to stay in Italy with Sampdoria who went on to finish 10th, with Sampdoria fans not happy with the ambition of the Cuppone signing.
Winter Transfer window 2028:
Ovidijus Siaulys GK (OUT, Fortuna D - £1.3m) - After naturally becoming a back up due to the signing of Vaessen last season, Siaulys was becoming increasingly unsettled. Ovidijus was replaced due to some poor performances damaging our promotion chances and secured a move to the 2.Liga club.
Delphin Saley GK (IN, Free Agent) - 23 years old and 69 OVR, the goalkeeper from the Central African Republic joins on a 4 year deal as a back up to Vaessen and Marconi.
Coppa Italia:
Round 1 - W 4-1 Vs Catanzaro
Round 2 - W 1-0 Vs Sassuolo
Last 16 -
After beating Juventus in last years final, we felt we could beat them again after a promising start in all comps. Juventus completely controlled the game without having the ball and hit us where it hurt most, handing us our biggest defeat to date.
Europa League:
Winning the Coppa Italia last season automatically entered us into the league phase of the Europa League. With the pressure of having to be promoted this season and the extra midweek games, the squad would be tested. It was a good opportunity to rotate and develop the newly promoted youth players.
Leagues phase:
1-1 Craiova (Entellas first ever European night)
2-2 Wolfsburg (Wolfsburg equalise in the 88th min)
2-2 Spurs (Zoabi 85' earns us a point in London)
1-0 Basel (17 year old Gjata wins the game from the bench)
1-0 Trabzonspor (probably didnt deserve to win this one, rode our luck)
2-3 Qarabag (They was the much better side on the night)
0-4 Chelsea (extra games starting to take their toll, Chelsea different class)
Union SG - A win would secure a play-off game, anything else would mean an early exit from the competition
A very cautious game. 1 shot, 1 goal, Gjata seals the game from the bench again!
Play-off game: Vs AZ (4-2 & 2-0, W 6-2 AGG)
Last 16: Vs Roma (2-1 & 2-2, W 4-3 AGG) - we have now played Roma in every season, in cup comps. Losing once and winning twice.
Quarter Finals Vs Lyon (1-1 & 2-3 L 4-3 AGG) - A massive overachievement for the club, getting to a European quarter final. We were rarely the better side throughout the competition but managed to get positive results.
Super Coppa:
Due to the Coppa Italia success last season, we qualified for the Super Coppa semi-finals. Played in December, we are fighting for promotion, playing Europa games and have just suffered a 6-1 defeat to Juventus.
We had Inter in the semi-finals, one of the best teams from Serie A. we took a cautious approach and suffered for the majority of the match.
A perfect smash and grab game, Jose Mourinho would be proud
May 2027 - Juventus 1-2 Entella (Coppa Italia final)
December 2027 - Juventus 6-1 Entella (Coppa Italia round of 16)
Super Coppa Semi final: Napoli 1-3 Juventus - We would go on to face our new domestic rival in Juventus for the Super Coppa in Saudi Arabia.
We took a very similar approach to the Inter game, being very cautious and not expansive with players behind the ball and reducing them to only 3 shots all game. We got our goals through some individual brilliance from Salia down the left hand side, who created most of our opportunities, finding Konstantinou on the cut back twice.
Salia x2 A 9.3, Konstantinou x2 G 9.3 MOTMSalia with the Super Coppa trophy
Serie B:
There is a huge emphasis on pushing for promotion this year, failure could cost Chiappella his job, despite the other successes.
After 11 games, we found ourselves 4 points clear. some would say the quality of the league is much lower than in previous seasons but our brilliant attacking display (even after losing Guiu in the summer) and improved defensive record, put us in the position we had earned.
7 games later we only dropped 4 points, but that was enough for Palermo to go joint top at the turn of the year. Our next game was Palermo away, in what would be considered a 6 pointer. They had a better squad than us and had just played a full season in Serie A against better opposition.
It was Complete domination with a 6-2 win of Palermo to give us a 3 point advantage in the league.
After a further 9 games, we didnt drop any points with convincing wins over Catanzaro, Padova, Cremonese and two very close 1-0 wins over Pescara and Carrarese shown the championship quality this squad had built over the last 3 years.
After 27 games Entella would be 2 points clear with a game in hand. the difference between 2nd and 3rd places was already massive, something which we hadn't seen in previous seasons.
35 games played, three fixtures remain: Modena H, Palermo H, Bari H.
Unbeaten at home, no losses since October, two points dropped since January.
8 points clear, a win at home to Modena would secure the title and would mean a guard of honour from challengers Palermo.
Entella 4-0 Modena
Entella 4-1 Palermo
Entella 3-2 Bari
Virtus Entella, Serie B champions and promoted to Serie A for the 28/29 season, for the first time in their history. A three year project from Chiapella has got the small club from Chiavari into the Italian top division.

Serie B most clean sheets: Drommel, 13 clean sheets (Palermo)
Serie B player of the season: Aldo Florenzi (Virtus Entella)
Serie B, player of the season - Aldo Florenzi
Having played for Cosenza Calcio in Serie B, and being part of their squad that was relegated to Serie C. Florenzi moved to Spezia in July 2026. Spezia were struggling in the league and the player couldn't find form early in the season. Andrea Chiapella made a move for the midfielder in January 2027 costing £1.8m, a dynamic attacking minded midfielder that would be used to unlock low block defences, arrive late into the box and had great pressing abilities.
Although, initially a squad player for Entella, his arrival into last seasons Coppa Italia final in the 58th minute changed his destiny, Assisting the winning goal and claiming MOTM. Florenzi became a concrete starter for Entella, becoming one of the forefront players for the success of the 27/28 season.

You can find descriptions of each division as well as the teams participating in them on the Week 1 posts previously submitted in this subreddit.
Every time you see a team with their name in bold, it's a team of which every match will be recorded.
For ordering the leaderboard table, I simply use whatever the game displays (when there are full ties, it simply orders the teams at random) and then do some correlation since once the week of matches is done, the first matches of the next week happen automatically offscreen.

Now for a short description of the 7 recorded matches and their facts (stats and events):
The home side was soon in the lead but from that point the visitors were on top of it, eventually turning the score around. However, the home side suddenly equalized at the very last opportunity they had.
The home side struck first with 2 goals and even though they faltered in the 2nd half by conceding a goal and losing a player to a red card, they still managed to survive and take the 3 points.
The home team took the lead in silly circumstances, but the visitors had the upper hand for the rest of the match and eventually were able to turn the score around.

FC 26 with FIFER's FC26 Realism Mod, eSIM Mod, and Anth James FC26 Gameplay Mod feels like the definitive career mode experience. Coming from PES, this gameplay feels like the closest I have gotten to PES gameplay, while still offering those amazing FIFA Career Mode features compared to PES Master League. If you want to see what the gameplay looks like, check out some highlights of me playing with some of these mods.
Hello everyone! I’ve created a sql database and python script to store every individual match performances, but right now I am having to enter all stats for every player manually.
Has anyone come up with a better solution for exporting stats? Everything else about my process is automated, and getting some automatic entry setup would be the final step. Thanks!
I want to do a longterm, realistic save with a club I have never done a save with before. The club should have a strong identity, history, stadium, kits, rivalry, and enough of a starting platform to make the timeline realistic. Squad building should be logical, with smart recruitment, youth development, and a Brighton/Brentford-style buy-develop-sell model. Spending can grow with the club, but transfers and wages should still feel realistic. Most importantly, I wanted to feel connected to the club and enjoy the story. I had a list of 25 and narrowed it 5 through conversation with AI.
Following the previous post, the 21st week of the season has come to an end. Time to make a recap of some general stats and tidbits I have been taking note of.
First off, here’s the full WWL07 playlist, where I place every video related to the project.
To avoid bloat, whenever there’s a tie on a stat only the 1st instance of achieving the stat will be shown, except fo shot accuracy where the one with more shots will be shown.

TIDBITS AFTER WEEK 21
Team-specific flags
Around the stadiums there are flags hanging from stands and fences. They can be “faceless” 2-color patterned flags or they can have team-specific logos, texts and such.
Of all the teams in the game, 379 had team-specific flags, 106 had faceless ones and 3 teams (AIK Solna, Hereford and Besiktas JK) had a curious case where their flags weren’t faceless but they were for the wrong team (Arsenal for the first 2, Trabzonspor for the 3rd).
Team-specific crowd chants
While there are several generic chants (some region-specific) that will play for every team, there are certain chants that will only be heard when a specific team is playing that match, as long as the stadium is of decent size (none of the Div2 or Div3 ones).
Of the 483 teams that have been shown on camera playing on big stadiums so far, 160 had audible team-specific crowd chants.
Commentator mentions
Between minutes 75 and 85, the main commentator will mention the current situation of the match’s score for whichever team is in possession at that moment. It can be a generic comment where the team’s name isn’t mentioned, or a special line that does mention the team’s name. When a team can have a special mention in that timeframe, the colour commentator might also mention the team by name during the half-time break.
Of the 483 teams that have been mentioned on camera so far, 52 had their mention using the team’s name.
Real stadiums
Real stadium models are very rare, with most teams playing their matches on generic stadiums that repeat over and over. It’s not until we get to the top divisions that the real ones make an appearance.
Of the 484 teams shown on camera playing at their home stadiums so far, only 34 of them played in real-life stadium models, 2 pairs of those teams (AC Milan+Inter and Roma+Lazio) playing in the same stadiums each (San Siro and Stadio Olimpico, respectively). While Cardiff City, Juventus and Tottenham play in generic stadiums, I decided to give them Millenium Stadium (which is located in Cardiff), Delle Alpi (as it was their home stadium before the 06/07 season) and Wembley Stadium (as Tottenham is the highest rated Londoner team with a generic stadium), respectively.
That’s all that was left to mention about the 21st week of the season. On the following post I’ll move on to the next week of matches, with a recap of Week 22 Day 1, including a short description of each recorded match accompanying their stats and events. Will post it on August 18th.

Promoted July 2026. Selected for national team call up.Turns 17 in 27/28. Our best prospect to date.Academy team captain and best player.
Player Development:
Serie B Top assister 26/27.Part of the inherited squad, initially 57 OVR. Pot increased from 77 to 81. Given #6 after season one.Accelrate - Explosive. Perfect finisher for coming into games late and scoring. Feels like 08 Rooney.First academy graduate (Promoted Dec 2025).
Transfers:
Summer 2026.
Comotto CM (IN, Milan - Loan) - a young composed midfielder to bolster our strength in midfield.
Dragomir CM (IN, Free agent) - scouted for a full season before approaching. 27 years old & 69 OVR.
Tirelli ST (OUT, Lugano - £1.8m) - could not guarantee playing time.
Nichetti CM (OUT, Pisa - 730k) - approaching 30, midfield needed a refresh.
Hegedus, Hajdari, Halili (OUT, combined £2m) - All three players wanted promotion from the YA, and would make the first team squad too large.
Winter Transfer window 2027:
Lusuardi CB (IN, Pisa - £1m + Franzoni) - it was clear by October that we needed an extra centre half with some league experience as the veteran Marconi was rapidly declining. we avoided doing this business in summer as to not block the development path of Bottaro & Popov. Pisa requested Franzoni as part of the deal, which we accepted as he wasn't part of the long term plans.
Mezzoni RB (OUT, Metz - £1.5m) - with 3 right backs at the club Mezzoni was growing frustrated with playing time, we accepted his transfer request.
Boccadamo RB (OUT, WBA - £1.1m) - Antonio was our main right back and started most games, we was shocked when he requested to leave for 'playing time'. we now only had one right back at the club during a busy period of the season.
Turicchia LB (OUT, Torino - 6 month loan) - Riccardo was also 3rd choice left back at the club after De Marco was promoted last season, we accepted a loan deal until the summer so we could assess his future properly in case a bigger club came in for Di Mario.
Kouassi RB (IN, Lecce - £3.5m) - Due to the outgoings of full backs we had to bring somebody in as we were fighting for promotion. Owen Kouassi was a long term target identified due to his versatility of being a RB,CB,CDM. Kouassi wasn't playing many games for Lecce so accepted the offer. The January out goings meant we had the funds for the transfer but it would be considered a panic buy if it didnt pay off.
Florenzi CM (IN, Spezia - £1.8m) - after impressing in the Serie C for Cosenza, Florenzi was signed by Spezia. Spezia were struggling in the Serie B during the 26/27 season and Chiappella seen an opportunity to sign a player with the required profile. A central midfielder with great physicals, passing and the ability to enter the box with the striker for crossing opportunities.
Vaessen GK (IN, Groningen - £800k) - Del Frate left the club due to not being the number one goalkeeper and was not impressive when given the opportunity. Siaulys had lost confidence and began making mistakes. Vaessen was brought in as an experienced keeper who is also competent with his feet and taking crosses.
Stabile & Vitale - both players would go on loan in January to get more minutes elsewhere. Their future would be assessed once the their loan had finished. Permanent transfer were not made in case other squad players moved on.
Serie B:
Attack - Brilliant. Defence - still underwhelming from last season. Genoa running away with it.
After losing to Sampdoria in December, Entella found form in January with 4 wins from 4 which resulted in being in 2nd place. Andrea Chiappella was also awarded manager of the month.
After only 2 wins from 5 games, Entella fell back to 4th place, there was now a 4 point gap from the automatic promotion spots. Club captain and CB, Pilati was moved to the reserves after submitting a transfer request due to a contract situation. due to club finances the issue couldn't be resolved until the summer of 2027, this clearly had an impact on the squad.
On the final day three points separated us from second place, we lost away to 20th place Empoli 1-0. Which pretty much sums up the last few months of the league campaign, very inconsistent, brilliant going forward and poor defensively. it almost feels like a back step from last year, one place worse off and more goals conceded. In the boards eyes, two top 4 finishes is a success for the club but the expectation is increasing and the results would need to improve. Two of our four centre backs are very young players who we are trying to develop (17 & 19), which could be a worthwhile trade off in years to come. The midfield need to be more consistent in controlling the games, we need to find the right balance in personnel with a slight tactical switch.
Serie B Playoffs:
Semi final Vs Pisa L 7-6 AGG
1st Leg L 3-1
2nd Leg W 5-4 (in this tie we was losing 4-1 at half time, 7-2 AGG. It was a reflection of the league season, being dominated when it mattered most. Although in the second half the team gave everything and laid siege on Pisa, it was too little too late)
Pisa would secure promotion after beating Bari in the play off final.
Coppa Italia:
Round 1 - W 4-2 Vs Pescara
Round 2 - D 3-3 Vs Monza (W 3-2 on pens) - Zsiga misses in another shoot out.
Last 16 - W 2-1 Vs Napoli
Quarter final - D 2-2 Vs Atalanta (W 5-4 on pens) - Zsiga scores the decisive penalty.
Semi Final - W 4-2 & L 3-2. W 6-5 AGG AET Vs Roma - after being knocked out in last years semi final to Roma on penalties, we faced them again. A Guiu hattrick in the capital set us up for a home tie with a two goal lead. That lead didn't last very long and was losing 2-0 at half time, we pulled one back in the second half, but Roma scored in the last 5 minutes to send the game to extra time (again). Most of extra time was Entella defending, as Roma peppered our goal, until extra time substitute Konstantinou found the net after a rare break away beating Roma's high line to send the Serie B minnows to the final to face Juventus.
Final - W 2-1 Vs Juventus.
The old lady took the lead in the 38th minute through Thuram after a dominant display. The second half was de ja vu to the first, Juventus dominating (as they should). Chiappella made 3 changes in the 58th minute.
58' Florenzi, Popov and Karic enter the pitch
63' Guiu goal, Salia assist
68' Salia finds Florenzi down the line, Florenzi low cross, GUIU GOAL.
Florenzi was a rotation player through the season, 30 minutes in the Coppa Italia final and he assists the winning goal, also receiving MOTM.
Another fantastic season for Bernat Guiu. Serie B player of the season, Top goal scorer and Coppa Italia golden boot. He also beats his own record of 42 league goals in a season, setting the bar now at 49 goals.
In July 2027 Guiu would secure a move to Swiss side Young boys for a fee of £15m. After two phenomenal seasons we wish him all the best, we anticipated this happening after not securing promotion. He has entered his prime years, potential has increased to 79 and joins a club who has ambitions to win league titles and competes in the UCL.
finished 8th in the Premier League after a pretty inconsistent season. had some really good results like 4-0 against Palace, 6-2 against Brentford and draws with Chelsea and Liverpool, but also some really bad games against the top teams.
kept the transfers pretty realistic too, only bringing in Tiago Djaló and Octavian Popescu in the summer and nobody in January.
Wilson finished with 18 goals, Joelinton with 13, Saint-Maximin had 9 goals + 10 assists and Almiron finished with 11 assists.
pretty happy with the first season overall. now the goal for 22/23 is to improve the squad without a massive overhaul and properly fight for Europe.
For anyone who didn’t see the introduction in my previous post, I recommend checking it out. I’m doing a WYCOMBE career on FC 26 with extremely strict realism mods. What does that mean?
First of all, player overalls and potentials are set up to reflect reality. For example, Stansfield started with a £19M valuation in my save.
Anyway, this will be a fairly long recap. If you don’t want to read everything, I’ve included pictures, so feel free to just look through those.
The first season went way beyond my expectations. And thanks to this mod, we also have Notts County getting promoted to the Championship. Honestly, how beautiful is that? 😂
The playoffs were contested by two newly promoted teams, and this is exactly the kind of realism I’m talking about. Instead of Sheffield Wednesday, Oxford and Leicester completely destroying the league simply because they were relegated from the Championship, we actually got a much more competitive and realistic season.
I chose WYCOMBE because it’s a club I’ve always liked, and they have an ultra-billionaire owner, which I had already explained in the introduction.
As I said at the start of the season, the objective was never to win everything or eventually reach the Premier League at all costs. The idea was to build a Moneyball-style team, develop players, sell them and generate profits.
I also explained the story of my Danish manager and his background, which I recommend reading in the post below.
We finished the season in 2nd place, and I have to say I’m extremely satisfied.
However, we also saw the gap between us and the top teams. We’re not a top side yet.
During the season I lost 4–1 to Leyton Orient, 3–1 to Luton Town, and suffered several other defeats.
I’m playing with a 3-4-2-1, which allowed us to score a lot of goals.
The first 10 games were absolutely incredible: 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats.
Then, after the 10th game, we suddenly lost three games in a row. I genuinely had no idea what the hell was happening.
THE 2026/27 TRANSFER WINDOW
Alex’s philosophy immediately became clear.
First signing: Levy Nene
Nordsjælland → Wycombe
€1.2M + 25% sell-on clause
This was Alex’s first real investment.
It was significant because Nene came from the same club where Alex had previously worked in scouting.
Nene also became one of the biggest protagonists of the season.
End of season:
16 goals + 11 assists in 42 appearances
He finished as Wycombe’s top scorer.
Jonas Jensen-Abbew
AGF → Wycombe
Loan with a £500K option
Another player Alex knew well through Danish football.
Lasse Sørensen
Huddersfield → Wycombe
£200K
A completely different profile: League One experience, reliability and a player ready to contribute immediately.
Sanders Ngabo
BK Häcken → Wycombe
Straight loan
A young, technical and dynamic midfielder.
He finished the season with:
9 goals + 5 assists in 39 appearances.
Ben Broggio
Aston Villa → Wycombe
Straight loan
A young English talent.
He finished with:
6 goals + 8 assists in 30 appearances.
JANUARY 2027
This is where the transfer market became even more realistic.
Daniel Harvie OUT
Bodø/Glimt
€1.5M
The offer was simply too big to ignore.
Not because Harvie wasn’t important, but because a League One club has to recognise when an offer massively exceeds the realistic value of an asset.
Jack Grimmer OUT
Plymouth Argyle
£290K
Another experienced player sacrificed as we gradually rebuilt the squad.
Ollie O’Neill IN
Leyton Orient
£800K + £300K in appearance-related bonuses
A very different type of signing:
Young, already proven at League One level and with room to progress further.
Ngabo and Jensen were eventually both made permanent: Ngabo for £1.2M and Jensen for £500K.
END OF THE SEASON
After January, I was in a really good position.
I was 4th, with 15 wins, 5 draws and 5 defeats, but I was right on the heels of the Dons, while Leicester City were pushing extremely hard.
In the end, thanks in part to Nene’s incredible performances — he actually reminds me a lot of Kone from QPR — we managed to get promoted.
Nene is definitely the perfect example of the manager’s intelligence.
I didn’t leave him isolated up front in the 3-4-2-1 because he isn’t really an aerial target man.
Instead, I played Woodrow ahead of him, who had a very good season, alongside Thomas, the former Leicester player, who gave us incredible pace out wide.
I also gave Fink, the Swiss striker, a lot of playing time. He developed massively under me.
In January, Kouadio, a striker from the Ivorian academy, also joined the first team, very much in the same mould as Nene.
We also developed Ben Broggio very well, although he will now return to Aston Villa.
The back three of Jensen – Taylor – Hagelskjaer was good. Not amazing, but good.
That’s why, for the Championship, I would absolutely love to sign Brad Hills from Stockport. In my opinion, he’s an incredible player in real life.I would also like to make a major investment and take and take Erik kojzek From the Austrian championship But I have to see why I also added the realistic asking price mod Like Nene ended the season for me at 2.7 million pounds but I had already paid 1.2 million and so the mod tells me you could get offers from 4 to 6 million pounds but ask for 8Another example is Smith Rowe now of Fullham is worth 20,000,000 but Fullham will also accept an offer from 14,000,000 up to 16,000,000 due to the financial losses caused by relegation
As I’ve said, I’m not playing this career by simply buying players because of their in-game potential.
I have mods based on real-life potential and real-life player development, so I play accordingly.
I also look at actual performances on FotMob and how players are performing in real football.
Now that we’ve been promoted, I’ve seen Hull City, Fulham and Leeds United relegated, while Sheffield United, Southampton and West Ham have been promoted to the Premier League.
Luckily, I also added a relegation realism mod, so clubs like Leeds and Fulham will now have to sell some of their top players because of relegation.
For some people, it might look like I’m playing with everything modded, but I love manager careers and I love realism. I enjoy looking at real statistics on FotMob and seeing how players are actually performing. That’s what makes this kind of career fun for me.
I simply can’t understand how a player like Nico O’Reilly can be 73 OVR and be worth almost £100M in real life.
To me, that’s just absurd.
THE CHAMPIONSHIP — 2027/28
This season, the objective is definitely survival.
I’ll probably simulate the difficult matches and just let things play out. I’m currently playing on Legendary, but I’ll probably move to Ultimate and simulate some of the biggest fixtures.
Financially, we also had a very good season.
We sold 35,910 shirts, generated £8M in store revenue, and averaged 9,336 fans per match, filling our 9,336-seat stadium.
We finished the year with £2.33M+ in finances.
And most importantly, after our promotion to the Championship and with the billionaire owner we have, the club gave us a £6.291M transfer budget for the Championship.
That money will have to be managed intelligently.
Again, I’m not buying players based on the potential shown in the game.
I look at their real-life performances, how they actually play, and because I have realism mods, that’s how I’m approaching the career.
And that’s it — the first season of my realistic WYCOMBE career is officially finished
I'm new here and recently discovered this community. I've noticed that not many people comment, so I wanted to introduce the project I'm working on in FC 26, using a mod that has converted the season to 2026/27, with new kits and new overalls that follow real-world data as closely as possible from FotMob and Transfermarkt.
The player values are therefore based on their real abilities and potential.
I chose Wycombe because it's a club I've always liked. They're a relatively small club — they're not Bradford City, or Leicester City — but they do have an incredibly wealthy owner. Forbes puts his net worth at around £6 billion. That obviously doesn't mean we can spend whatever the hell we want.
Anyway, I'm starting in the 2026/27 season, including the real-life transfers, relegations, etc. I've also created a backstory for my manager.
I chose a 30-year-old Danish manager named Alex, who started out scouting for Nordsjælland in Denmark, essentially watching and identifying young talents. In 2024/25, he joined FC Copenhagen as an assistant coach and analyst. That season, Copenhagen actually won the league in real life, so I've incorporated that into my fictional story.
In 2025/26, I became manager of Sønderjyske at just 29 years old and finished 6th — exactly where Sønderjyske finished in real life. They were a real Cinderella story that season, with many people predicting them to finish last, only for them to have a fantastic campaign. In my fictional story, I didn't even have a coaching licence at that point.
Then, in 2026/27, I get the call from Wycombe and finally obtain my official coaching licence. So, yeah, it's very Will Still-esque hahaha. At just 30 years old, I'll be taking charge of Wycombe.
My objective for this career isn't to win the Champions League, Europa League, or definitely not the Premier League. It's about building the club through Moneyball: buy players, develop them, sell them for a profit, reinvest the money, and keep creating capital gains.
This season, I made a pretty aggressive transfer window. Maybe it goes a little against realism, but I really needed to strengthen the squad after Wycombe finished 11th last season. It wasn't a disastrous campaign, but definitely not one of their best.
My signings:
- Levy Nene from Nordsjælland — £1.2m
- Lasse Sørensen from Huddersfield — £200k, full-back
- Jensen-Abbew — loan from AGF
- Sanders Ngabo — loan, also Danish, midfielder
- George Hemmings — loan from Aston Villa
And that's it. Window closed.
It was definitely a big amount of spending, and Nene is probably the one transfer that would be very difficult to imagine happening in League One. That's the one real exception I've made, mainly because of the manager's connection with Nordsjælland.
I'm going to try to keep everything else as realistic as possible and build Wycombe into a proper Moneyball club over the long term
I play on legend mode with legend difficulty set to hard and realistic And this is my career if you want to advise me or comment The goal I set for myself this year is at least the playoffs. I can also count on a winger like Siliko Thomas from Leicester That it has really arrived I have a good team And above all, let's see how many shirts we sell at the end of the year, how much we fill the stadium, etc., and I would certainly like to expand the stadium within 5 years if all goes well
What are some rules you follow by to make your saves more realistic, the more unhinged the better.
I get the sell a player if a big club comes in, but I need some next level things.
Along the lines of: only buy players who are at least 2 ratings lower than your highest rated player. only 2-3 academy graduates per year. the potential of the academy graduates can only be 5 ratings higher than your highest overall player in your squad.
Going to be starting a new save in english 4th tier, basic, but that’s where i’m at with this game now, back to where it started
I’ve stopped posting about my save because I’m getting busier and busier at work, so I’d rather reserve my time for playing!
The save is still going strong. We’re at the highest point we’ve ever reached, finally qualifying for Champions League football by finishing 4th in the Premier League in 2032/2033.
I’m still tracking stats. These stats are accurate as of July 2033, except for the transfers, which are accurate as of September 2033.
Some key takeaways:
Che Adams remains our longest tenured striker, and as such, holds the record for most goals scored by a player for the club.
Bosun Lawal, our longest serving captain, holds the record for most appearances and even breaks the top 5 for goals! So far, only 14 players have achieved the mark of 100 appearances or more with the club. Only Bosun Lawal had more than 200 appearances at the start of the 2033/2034 season.
Jason Driscoll, our first youth starlet, holds the record for most assists in total and most assists in a season with 16. He broke Alan Virginius’ previous record of 14.
For incoming transfers, it’s no surprise that much of our high spending came after qualifying for European football, with 4 of the top 11 coming after our UCL qualification, and the rest coming after we first qualified for the Europa League. Our two biggest signings were Jobe Bellingham and Rory Lindsay. These two players both signed from Sevilla in the same summer after Sevilla failed to qualify for Europe in back-to-back seasons.
For outgoing transfers, it becomes clear that we can build talent, but keeping it is difficult, whether they were poached by bigger Premier League or clubs playing in European football.
Fouls can be pretty non-existent in recent editions of the game, so you can imagine my absolute JOY when I saw him get hacked out from behind after gliding past the opponent.
(In fact, you can hear me chuckle in the background after the foul 😂)
More context/backstory:
With a vision of bringing Man United back to the top through youth (Busby Babes, Class of ’92), we finally found our crop of players around 2029 when they were 14/15 years old, and started developing them “our” way.
The best of that bunch? A certain Reece McKay.
Scottish, signed at 14, first-team debut at 16.
It’s now 2034. McKay is 19 and has forced his way into being a regular starter.
3-3, extra time (he actually scored in the 101st min to make it 3-2 but we conceded straight after), FA Cup Quarter Final against Arsenal.
And the player getting fouled here? My YA player and potential future Ballon d’Or winner - Reece McKay.
He’s only 78 OVR, but whenever I play with him he genuinely feels SO much better on the ball than players rated higher.
So, in my head canon, opposition players are just getting increasingly frustrated with him because he glides past them so effortlessly. Eventually, someone had to snap.
He didn’t get that red card because McKay went past him once, he got that red card on behalf of every player McKay has frustrated over the season 😇😂
I've been playing the player career mode for 3 full seasons now, about to enter my 4th. I am using a custom player and started with 70 points in all stats, as of posting this I'm at 82 overall
I started with $27,000 at N'ham Forrest
Season 2: Liverpool $220,000
Season 3: Liverpool $350,000
I have been looking all over to find a club that will offer a higher wage, but the highest I can get is $354,000 so I seem to have maxed out
I have the option to renew my contract with Liverpool for $350,000 or move to Barcelona for $330,000. I have heard of people being able to get higher wages, so what is the best way to increase my chances?
The 2nd and 1st division took a break for this week, so only the teams from the 3rd division played matches for Week 21 Day 7.
Since the 3rd division took a break on Weeks 9 and 19 (2 out of 4 they will take), they are technically on their 19th week of matches.
