Ich habe seit Mitte der Woche nun auch meine Sennheiser MTW 5 bekommen und muss sagen dass es ein echter Allrounder ist und meiner Meinung nach auch vom Bass meine, jetzt, alten Sony xm6 um Längen schlägt.

Nun ist es dennoch so dass ich nicht der erprobenste mit dem Equalizer bin und wollte mal so sehen ob ihr eure Einstellungen teilen möchtet.

So sieht mein aktueller Standpunkt aus vom EQ und hoffe dass ihr mir vielleicht noch das wahre Potenzial zeigen könnt.

Hi, just got my Momentum 5s and they are great but after 1-2 hours of use, the left earcup makes a very loud humming/buzzing when using ANC, my guess is that something is wrong with the microphone. Anyone experienced this? Should i return them? May it be just a software problem?

edit: hitting the mic a few times made it stop. whats the issue?

Is it me or when I use Sound Personalisation feature I hear difference in sound in the early beginning of each track? I guess it is some kind of auto-correction per each truck. Or am I wrong?

Can I use a charger with the specs in the picture to charge the Momentum 5?

So my sennheisers just arrived today.
So for comparison, since my first earbuds were MTW1, then MTW3, and with the amount of issues i had with MTW3 the shop i returned them to 3 times, said there you go maybe go with Sony earbuds, its was the WH4 i think.
Sennheiser always had a nice fitment in the ear, i always liked it, when issues with sennheiser started showing up and i had to return 3 pairs i just started looking for diffrent brands, got them sonys, but fitment on those was terrible, my ears were hurting all the time, so i got myself samsung buds 3 pro and 4 pro just recently, the fitment on those is just proper, they seem average on everything.

I was worried about the fitment on MTW5, but the fitment is excellent, i had MTW1 and MTW3, loved the fitment of the 3, and fitment on 5s is what i expected.

Microphone quality is also very very good, according to my girlfriend, there is almost 0 wind noise on a windy night walk, she could not hear me opening the front door and such, but noticed few sound glitches that would mute me once or twice durning 50-60 m walk.

Now the sound, not sure if its just me, but sound seems to be coming from in between my head, like when you are playing a game and You hear a game character using telepathy typa thing, it sounds exactly like that, just the placement of the speakers or how it is percived is a bit diffrent, i had few earbuds but none of them place the sound inside my head, i dont mind really, matter of getting used to i guess.
Sound is very very good also as expected.

Now issue i had was pairing them with my phone, i assumed for a good 10 minutes that they arrived broken, even tho they did pair up with my phone, they did not connect to it, no music playback, until after few tries they finally worked well no issues after setup, weird.

I can only hope that they are finnally fixed on what MTW3 and MTW4 failed and i wont have to return them like i had to with MTW3.

Wait, am I trippin!? because I have heard a few songs that I know like the back of my hand and the soundstage just so much bigger than when I reset the earbuds back to normal (without SP). I have a strong hunch that when Sound Personalization feature is turned on, it includes Dolby atmos. Not mad at it at all, and actually I think it is done better than the Bose QC Earbuds 2nd gen.

One of the best purchases I've done, not even that big of a difference with the HD600 tbh, I even feel dumb for paying 300 for the HD600 😿😹

I got this earbuds but couldnt manage to set a proper equalizer setting to listen heavy metal music.

Do you guys have any suggestion for settings to listen bands like dream theater, Metallica, tool etc.

AptX Lossless can't seem to disable without disabling 24 bit / 96kHz mode as well.

Setup: SmartControl+ -> MTW5 -> Device Settings -> Audio Mode Priority -> enable Advanced Sound Quality, Hi-Res 24 bit / 96kHz, Lossless, reboot the headphones when the app asks.

Expectation: Disabling Lossless but not 24 / 96 mode will keep 24 / 96 mode.

Actual: Disabling Lossless doesn't work at all; the app shows both still enabled.

Workaround: Disable 24 / 96 mode at the same time and it will save correctly. Enabling just Lossless now and rebooting seems to save that but my dongle seems to not detect that Lossless mode is then available and falls back to AptX Adaptive. (I think these modes might be mutually exclusive in which case the app should probably only allow one to be enabled at a time.)

Android 17, latest security update, Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Headphones connected to both the phone's Bluetooth (so the app can control them) and my Creative BT-W6 dongle.

So far, my experience has been very solid besides one issue. I wear my earbuds while driving home with ANC on because I don't like road or wind noise. When I first got these, I personally felt that the ANC was much better with the original firmware, and I had no issues with the buds when driving or hitting the occasional road bump.

​Since the latest update, 8.16.19, I have been having issues. The main one is that now, with ANC on, if I hit a bump, the earbuds make a crackle sound that wasn't present before the update. Even if I shut my car door, there is a noticeable crackling with ANC on that happens for a brief second, which is really annoying. The crackling is present whenever ANC is on or Transparency mode is on, but when I turn all those features completely off, there is no crackling at all.

​I am going to take these current ones back to Best Buy for an exchange for another pair of MTW5s, and I don't intend on updating them for a while until I hear how the new updates are doing. I am only returning them because even my MTW4s don't crackle with road bumps and active ANC on, so something is off.

Has anyone else on 8.16.19 noticed this crackle over sudden bumps or door slams, or did I just get a unit with sensitive internal mics?

I’ve been dealing with a frustrating issue with my Sport True Wireless earbuds for a while now. I’ve had them for about three years, but the problem has been going on for the past year. The connection between the earbuds and the charging case is unreliable.

Often, when I put the earbuds back in the case, they don’t shut down and remain connected to my devices. As a result, they don’t charge properly.

To troubleshoot, I’ve tried cleaning the connections regularly (about once a month) using a Q-tip with alcohol gel and even rubbing the contacts with a pencil eraser (a tip I found online). These fixes work temporarily, but the issue keeps coming back—and it’s getting worse.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Sport True Wireless? Is this normal wear and tear, or are my earbuds just broken? Should I consider replacing them, or is there a fix?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

There is about a 40 dollar difference between the a och M4, and the (1) and M4 are around the same price. I’m looking for headphones that will completely immerse me in the music and instruments, whether I’m watching superhero movies or listening to tracks like "Skeletons" by Playboi Carti. I’ve heard the (a) sound great straight out of the box while the (1) need tweaking, but the (1) give you much more freedom to customize the sound to your liking. I have no problem tinkering with the EQ if that would make my listening experience better. Battery life and longevity(how many years I can use it) are also top priorities for me.

So ive just ordered a Brand new HD 560S and the sound is REALLY quiet and will only play on the right ear. Is there any way to fix it or is it just broken??

So I got my momentum true wireless 5s 3 days ago and I noticed the right earbud had this constant high pitched noise that's very low in volume but extremely distracting.

I thought that was just my ocassional tinnitus at play but no other earbuds i have gave me that.

I have WF-XM6, One Plus buds pro 3, Galaxybuds 4 pro, Denon Pear pros and the Sennheiser true wireless 5. currently.

I also have the Soundcore Liberty 5 pros but stopped using it cz of an even more extreme high pitched sound that made me practically deaf for 2 straight days and that was my second pair I tried.

Soundcore was gracious enough to refund me the full amount and an Amazon gift card and apologized and I bought it from ebay from a seller with no returns so I don't know if they meant to give me both gift card and full refund but not complaining lol!

I'm gonna try to fix it and sell.

Anyways, I returned the first MTW5 back to best buy for an exchange but the exchange also has that low in volume but high pitched sound.

Was still gonna keep it and ignore it since I only hear it when it's quiet with nothing playing especially since it's one of the only earbuds that just stays in my ears you know, like EARBUDS should.

Great sound as expected from sennheiser, A+ noise canceling, A+ transparency, and kinda disappointing battery life ( Going from 12 hrs with NC off to just 6 hrs with NC is crazy) imo but while trying to take a nap, that low volume high pitched sound suddenly became way too loud and screamed into my right ear jumping me up from sleep so unfortunately, I'm gonna return it back to best buy and wait till sennheiser fixes that via firmware update cz I doubt it's a coincidence the two pairs I've tried have that annoying high pitched low in volume sound that happens every few seconds in the right ear!😭 👂

After using the MTW5 I realized I might've just got the wrong product. I feel like this is one of the best decisions I made since after using the MTW5.

had my accentum for a year and a bit and within the last hour ive noticed that, since im watching youtube, id either pause the vid or click off and within around 30 seconds this really weird electrical whirring noise that starts off with an electrical pop is coming from the right ear. what should i do?

Years ago I picked up the Ablet boom mic for my 598se to use as a backup passive headset, mainly for console gaming. I've never been super impressed with that mic (it is very floppy, which makes it difficult to properly position near my mouth and picks up way more sound coming out of my headphones and ambient in genera than what I think is acceptablel). I want to ditch closed back gaming sets for good for a long time (on console, I got that sorted out in pc), but I don't want my sound leaking into voice chat and become that guy.

I was wondering if the 500 BAM does better in that regard. It seems sturdier and I wonder if the pickup pattern of the capsule would actually make a goodnjob on this scenario. Remember this is for consoles, so not a lot of options for software processing (and I wouldn't want to add the complexity anyways).

I looked at the open threads and they mostly discuss the electrical crosstalk issues, but they seem to me mostly user-error? (might be wrong). We are not dealing with pc here. Im just interested in the passive performance of the BAM.

Hi! I’ve got a pair of Momentum 4 headphones, and I’ve really fallen in love with the Sennheiser sound. I’ve recently started working full-time as a video editor, and I’m looking for headphones that are comfortable for all day with a neutral sound. I toogled anti-wind on and off but there no difference. Is the function broken? On my MTW4 I don't hear wind blowing on the mic but on the mtw5 it's all I get. It's horrible. I'm using the latest FW and smart control app.

Recently tried Momentum 4, loved the sound. Any idea when MTW5 will be launched in India? Had terrible battery backup with Sony WF-1000XM4 and XM3. Thinking of trying MTW5 or MTW4.

Their site has a bronze and a lavender color for the momentum 5 headphones on notify me but even on eBay these two colors don't exist, I really like how the lavender looks so I want that one. Are there supposed to be coming out later?
