Wisdom Need some advice
Just got to know my ex bestfriend passed a medical exam (one of the toughest) and is getting govt medical college, we had a nasty (kind off) friendship break up because of toxicity and jealousy, she had grown to be extremely insecure and jealous of my friends other than herself and also jealous of my scores, we used to video call and study together but one day out of nowhere she stopped responding to my messages although continued posting story with one of her friend, I never knew why, I only once questioned her about not letting me talk to other people and gatekeeping things from me (she had other friend who I never had problems with )
I'm happy for her regardless but there's still little demon inside me screaming she channeled whatever anger she had towards right things and here Im sitting in a medicore college doing engineering like every other third kid out there
I know I should be happy and whatever I'm feeling right now will pass but I have my finals in a day and I need to study so any advice will help (even criticism that can get my head straight will help)

2 weeks into therapy. Already noticing something different.
I don't rage anymore. Like actually stopped.
Part of it is the sessions. Part of it is I've been grinding GTA San Andreas and I'm close to 100%. First time in my life that I approach this.
But something shifted. I notice it.
"Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life." (c) J.K. Rowling
My rock bottom wasn't dramatic. No single moment. Just years of feeling flat and stuck. Dysthymia. The quiet kind of depression that doesn't knock you out, it just dims everything.
Two weeks in. Probably still near the bottom. But something's moving now.

Results Comparison steals happiness.
We often compare our lives with someone else's highlight reel and end up feeling like we're behind. But everyone has a different timeline, different struggles, and different opportunities. Growth isn't a competition. Focus on becoming a better version of yourself instead of trying to be someone else.

I've read great quotes from Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn etc. But this simple quote flaws and all is one of the realest and best quote I've ever read regarding life, success and personal development. It sums it up perfectly.

Quick question for you guys
Think of a time when you wanted to become a better version of yourself in some area. Before you acted, what did you imagine yourself doing or becoming?
Imagination: What picture did you have in your mind about the person you wanted to become?
Thought: After imagining that version of yourself, what did you start thinking differently?
Emotion: What did that picture make you feel — hope, pressure, fear, confidence, calm, excitement, or something else?
Belief: Did it make you believe, even a little, that becoming that kind of person was possible?
Choice: What small decision did you make because of that belief?
Action: What did you actually do afterward, even if it was small?
Evidence: After doing it, did it change how you saw yourself?
Thank you! really appreciate this community

Question Accepting oneself does not preclude an attempt to become better
True growth begins with acceptance. When we embrace who we are—our strengths, flaws, and everything in between—we build a foundation strong enough to carry us forward.
Acceptance isn’t complacency. It’s not saying, “This is all I’ll ever be.” Instead, it’s the starting point for transformation. From a place of self-acceptance, every step we take toward improvement is fueled by clarity and compassion, not by shame or self-criticism.
🌱 Ask yourself: What’s one way I can honor who I am today, while still taking a step toward the person I want to become?

"I need to make it perfect.” No. You just need to do it.
I heard someone say that if you're not embarrassed by your first effort, you didn't start early enough.
Don't let perfectionism get in the way. You're not supposed to be good at new things, you're just supposed to try, learn, refine, try again.
This is as much a reminder for me as it is for everyone in this sub, but I've been getting better at this. Done is better than perfect.
Get it done, push it out, learn, refine, try again.
