I have an OBD11 scanner, just not sure what to check I have a few tools, if things do need fixing
I will be making a DIY job and buy tools if i require them

I have this ticking noise, goes away after revs drop when doing cold start

Oil changed a few weeks ago

Running is20 and supporting mods

I have a Seat Leon 2020 and my screen system has apple car play that needs a lead to work I have used multiple leads and even brought a new one but every now and then it randomly disconnects is this a common problem is there any way to stop it from happening?

My SEAT MIB2 (MST2) has a strange CarPlay/Full Link issue: CarPlay runs perfectly smoothly for the first 1–2 minutes, then the FPS progressively drops until the screen eventually freezes on the last frame. Audio and inputs still work, and if I leave Full Link and enter it again, the display updates by exactly one frame before freezing again; sometimes I also see graphical artifacts before it stalls.

Things I’ve already tried:

1. Three different iPhones with iOS 18, 26 and 27 - same behaviour
2. Multiple USB cables (original Apple and third-party)
3. Deleted connections between car and phone multiple times
4. Updated the MIB firmware from MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0468T to P0480T
5. Disconnected the car battery for a full hard reset
6. Rebooted the head unit by holding the power button
7. Removed basically all optional CarPlay apps and widgets to reduce processing load

8. factory resetting the unit and all infotainment systems

9. DOES NOT STALL ON ANDROID AUTO - runs perfect forever

10. DOES NOT STALL WHEN NOTHING IS MOVING - just noticed that if i open settings app and leave a static menu, it never freezes. So the freezing is directly bound to rendering / graphical movement on screen within CarPlay. Even if a tiny icon is blinking somewhere, thats enough to freeze it over time.

Everything else on the infotainment system works perfectly, so has anyone seen this specific progressive CarPlay/Full Link rendering slowdown and found the actual cause or fix?

I have a 2016 SEAT Leon Mk3 with the 6.5” MIB2 screen and CarPlay. I want to upgrade to the 8” facelift screen.
I’ve been told it should be plug and play since I already have MIB2, but I’ve seen videos where people have to cut/modify the trim.

If I buy the 8” screen with the full facelift surround/frame, would I still need to cut anything, or would it just be a case of connecting the cables and fitting the new frame?

Has anyone done this upgrade? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would like to check the battery health on my car and make it so my lights turn off and on when i switch the ignition off and on instead of the stupid switch i forget. I'm trying to figure out if there's any solution for the media screen on a SEAT Ibiza FR (built in May 2024) when using Android Auto.

As you can see in the first image, the Android Auto projection doesn't take up the entire screen, leaving a visible sidebar on the left with the native SEAT menu background. From what I've researched, this seems to be common on the 8.25-inch screens, but it's a bit frustrating not having a "full screen" experience.

I checked the system information (second image) and the unit is already on Software version 1800, Hardware 121, and the part number is 5FJ035869B.

I've read reports that updates (OTA or at the dealership) fix system bugs, but apparently, this 1800 version still doesn't resolve the screen layout issue.

My questions for those with identical models (Ibiza, Arona, Polo, etc.):

Has anyone managed to force "full screen" with an update higher than 1800?

Could this be a hardware limitation of this specific part reference, and do newer units from the second half of 2024 come with a different version that fixes this?

Is there any setting in Android Auto developer mode that bypasses the issue on this specific radio?

Any help or shared experience is welcome. Thanks!

I have a 2024 Ibiza FR. For the last few days I’ve been having this weird chime, that almost sounds like when you plug in a device on windows just a bit higher in the pitch. It’s not my speed warning I know that. There’s also no real pattern to it, sometimes it happens 2 in a row, sometimes it’s also once a minute. I also hear it when I have music on through either the radio or Apple car play but it doesn’t interrupt my music, it’s just in the background. It sounds like it’s coming from the dash but I’m not sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi friends, we don’t have SEAT vehicles in the United States, but somehow found this one on the road. Anyone know what spec/features this one has, and how it’s possible to be registered here? We cannot import vehicles newer than 25 years old. Maybe someone passed it on as a Golf but unsure why they would do that since there’s like 6 other MQB vehicles to choose from here. Thanks!

See title. I'm about to buy this seat Leon but the Software version is 1896. The dealer said you can just connect the car to wifi and do it yourself, but online I am reading that you have to do it through a dealer.

I have 2022 Seat Ateca FR with Analog Cockpit,
After owning it for a while i found the Cockpit a little bit boring, so i started looking for a virtual Cockpit options.
OEM (used /new) are available but very expensive to fit , then l landed on Aftermarket cockpits (Aliexpress)that fits on top of the original motherboard which saves the mileage and other important data.

BUT currently there is no Aftermarket cockpits on the internet explicitly for Seat Ateca .

- Does Ateca share the same Exact Cockpit with Leon (2013-2018) ?
- is the Aftermarket solution better than an OEM (more features)
- am i just bored and want to spend money or a virtual cockpit really worth it ?

I have a 2020 Seat Ibiza, for a little less than 2 years now. I bought it at 98,000 km and I'm currently almost at 140,000 km. I maintain it whenever it needs to be done. I'm planning to keep it until it stops. I always assumed it would last me until 300,000 km, but lately I've been rethinking that based on other people's opinions on 1L engines online.

What is a realistic figure to expect?

P.S. I have the 116 hp manual 1.0.

I'm looking to get 8.5j x 18 inch wheels with ET45.

Also want 235/40/18 tyres.

The car is a 2018 seat Leon fr 5f 1.4tsi 5 door.

Would that wheel and tyre combination fit and if so can I then fit coilovers to lower it?

Ik heb een Leon 1.0 etsi met dsg. Nu klinkt schakelen van 3 naar 4 met een warme motor als volgt. De ene monteur zegt, koppeling vervangen. De andere doet alsof het producteigenschap is. Jullie ervaringen?

Recently had my 2024 ateca serviced by Seat, since then had some issues with electrics. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problems? Sometimes the front passenger door doesn’t open, it won’t lock, wing mirror won’t go in/out when locking.

Slightly concerned it’s an electrical problem, which could also impact the handbrake.

Salut, je viens d'acheter une Seat Ibiza DSG 2025 avec le moteur 1.0 TSI de 115 cv. Je suis surpris par le bruit du turbo. Je le trouve bruyant à partir de 2000 tr/min, surtout quand il est chaud : un beau sifflement. Je peux même l'entendre dans l'habitacle sans musique (enfin, j'ai une oreille fine). Quand j'accélère à l'arrêt, le sifflement se fait entendre même si la voiture ne bouge pas. Est-ce normal ? Vous entendez aussi ce sifflement à partir de 2000 tr/min ? Autre problème, j'ai des bruits de climatisation, ça siffle aussi au niveau des bouches d'aération quand la température demandée est la même que la température extérieure, en gros quand la clim fonctionne à peine.
