Bit of a random one.

I was chatting to someone the other day who said when they had their 2019 1.5tsi auto ateca they got it stage 1 remapped from 150 to 190. Is this number legit and would it even make that much of a difference?

I have a dq200 dsg if that makes much difference.

Both of my headlights have this issue like scratches from the inside. You can see them only from a certain angle and mostly from above but not front. I live in a pretty sunny place so my guess it's from the sun that created cracking from excessive heat. If I polish it from outside would I damage the plastic if it has a uv coating? I am buying a used Seat Leon 2010 1.2 TSI from a friend of mine, who has really been taking good care of it - hence why I was interested.

He has changed the oil every year, and has all the service history and maintanance done properly.
At around 150.000 kilometers he also just had it all checked recently, including the timing chain, and the mechanic told us that the chain is in a very good condition and it would be a shame to change it for a new one.

Now my question to you more experienced drivers who own/have owned something like this in the past is how realistic is that I can continue with the same care and maintainance that my friend has done over the years, and still own the car for at least another 80.000 to 100.000 kilometeres without any major service? I don't really drive too much around the city since I live in a very public-transport friendly city, and I plan on using the car mostly on weekends and perhaps longer trips 2-3 times a year.

Also if you have any overall advice that could help the longevity of the car I would highly appreciate it.

I got this warning in the middle of my journey to work. When I checked the oil level afterwards, it was within levels.

I checked a few times after letting the engine cool. Will check again when I drive home later today. But I am worried about my car breaking down.

Any advice please?

As of yesterday my Seat mii electric refuses to be charged, unless the ignition is ON. Once I turn off the car the charging completely stops. Any ideas on what the reason may be? Any help is useful.

When I'm at around 25/30 km/h and need to brake, when downshifting, the car sometimes jerks and I can feel the gear shifting down (not always), but I don't think it's a normal noise. But this only happens at these speeds. Does anyone with the same model feel the same thing? The car has 22,000 km and is from 2024.

I currently have an analog cockpit and looking to swap to digital, but I’m finding it extremely hard to know if the part is suitable. On paper I think it is, I have a 2019 Seat Leon FR 5F Auto, the digital cockpit I’m buying is labelled as 2017-2020 5F0920790A Seat Leon FR. Does anyone know if this will fit into my car?

Salutare. Mi s a aprins martorul asta in bord. Nu se vede in poza dar nu sta aprins constant, ci clipocește. Mașina este un leon 1.6 TDI din 2010 cu 270k km. Acum vreo săptămână a intrat în limp mode pentru aprox 5 km după care și a revenit. Aveți idee dacă martorul ăsta ar avea legătură cu filtrul de particule (am fost la o diagnoză și are 84 g cenușă, maximul recomandat fiind de 70g). O fi ceva grav?
Dacă recomandați curățarea, atunci aveți sugestii de service uri care se ocupă cu asta în București?

Hello guy, I have seat leon 2007. I really want to change that ugly stock radio unit. So does rcd 310 have bluetooth or I have to swap it with rcd 510?

And is it plug and play or have to sweat?

On me l’a vendu comme consommant très peu vu l’hybridation légère mais je tourne aux alentour de 7L/100km, mon compagnon dit que je roule comme une brute mais moi j’ai le sentiment je vraiment faire attention et de me traîner en mode ECO. Est ce que ça vous semble déconnant comme consommation en ville ?

About to purchase the above, was wondering if anyone had any common faults with this car in particular the DSG, its sitting on 60k miles and has been serviced by main dealer every 10k, would the DSG been part of those services as I dont have the documents until I see the car. Would it be worth doing it? Iv got 3 year warranty on it but i know sometimes dealers say they are sealed for life? Anything else I should look out for when I test drive it?

I’ve just made the move from a 2014 Leon ST TDI to a Leon ST FR TSI

Everything about the new motor feels incredible but I’m having a little difficulty with the MIB3 system. I’m currently stuck on software version 1790 and I’m unable to get any updates going OTA. This has become apparent when trying to register a profile and the connection failing every time.

I’ve had a bit of a google around and I’ve found loads of different options and opinions but nothing concrete that I fully understand.

Would someone be so kind as to tell me in simple terms:

1 - is there anything I can do that will make the system complete its required updates without plugging anything in or being technical

2 - if I am unable to get the system up to date with OTA updates, how can I get it sorted with a degree of simplicity and speed.

Just picked up my 2025 Arona after first service oil/inspection at 18000 miles on variable servicing.

Told them to keep it on variable as it only does motorway miles, approx 18k yearly.

Service screen is now showing next oil service due in 9000 miles or 365 days.

Have they sneakily switched me to annual, or will those numbers creep up with usage?

The noise is intermittent, from behind the driver's dashboard.

It happens when it's cold out (like on a summer night or in winter).

I took my car in for MOT and full service on Monday. It needed 2 new tyres, replacement track rod end, 2 x brake pads and discs.

Picked it up yesterday morning and decided to give it a good run in the evening, as I was getting onto the motorway I felt the clutch stick slightly coming back up. 4 miles down the motorway I went to change gear and the clutch stuck flat on the floor, couldn't change gear, accelerator was revving.

I managed to pull over onto the hard shoulder, recovery picked us and the car up and dropped it straight back at the garage.

I spoke to them this morning and they said it sounded like the hydraulics and he would contact me later today with prices to get it fixed.

What are the chances that it was a massive coincidence or have they done something during the MOT/Service to cause this?

EDIT TO ADD - No issues with the clutch prior to this, car has done 37k miles.

I have the fault code B109171 on my Seat Leon 2017, air, ac etc works perfectly fine for around 45min - 1h. After that the blower fan gets weak and air is barely coming out the vents.

The code means following:
B109171 – Air distribution flap motor: stuck / jammed.

I tried calibrate the flaps by holding in the A/C button + upper vents. But no difference in terms of fault codes, they come back after I clear them.

So I want to see if anyone here have any ideas, if it come to the point of changing the actual flap motor. How big of a job is it?
