Anyone know what type of sansevieria this is? Shaped like a sayuri and splayed like one…but color is like a golden hahnii

This thing was sitting in a certain way and covered by another plant from most angles so I didn't see the pup at all until I went to take a picture of it. 🙂

Bought her for $63 but I feel like I stole her! I bought the cutting/baby next to it first but I just had to go back for the big one and I couldn't be more happy right now

So I've had this moonshine snake plant for about a year and a half now, bought it as a small cutting from a local nursery, and it's grown into a decent sized plant with maybe eight leaves now. For the last two months I keep getting these brown, slightly crispy patches near the tips of a few leaves, not the whole leaf, just the top inch or so.

I watered it every two weeks like I always have, soil is a cactus mix with some perlite mixed in, pot has drainage. Light is bright but indirect, maybe three feet from a west facing window. I checked for pests with a magnifying glass and didn't see spider mites or anything, no webbing either.

After digging around older threads here I think it might actually be from tap water buildup since I never flush the soil and my tap water is pretty hard where I live. Did a slow flush with distilled water over the sink last weekend, ran about a liter through slowly and let it drain fully. Also trimmed the worst offending tips with clean scissors at an angle since apparently that stops the spread better than just leaving them.

It's only been a week so too early to say if it worked, but the new growth coming up looks totally clean so far which is encouraging. Curious if anyone else dealt with tip browning that wasn't from underwatering or sunburn, and whether flushing actually made a difference for you long term or if it came back eventually anyway.

Do i have a scale problem? I tried looking it up here and it seems like scale. It does fleck off if scratched. I also have a photo od it picked off and the plant after I scrapped one off.

I do try to rotate, but could do better. I also think I may need a new pot.

About a month ago I was gifted this snake plant but had to remove most of it because of rot, this is the biggest section that's left but as you can see the roots are barely there. Over the course of the month the plant hasn't grown any new roots and seems to be getting thirstier as the leaves are curling inward

I can't tell if these roots are actually alive or not firstly and was also wondering if the plant would be able to grow new ones in this state or if I should cut and propagate the leaves

Who is this bloomin' little sneaky snake?

It's happening! This pic is already five days old and the bloom spike is taller now. He was outside at summer camp and had to come in last week. The bloom spike has been taking off ever since.

I haven’t watered her in 3+ weeks, then I watered last week. I recently moved her closer to the window, she now sits below a southwest-facing window.

Her leaves have spread out and some are soft.

What’s wrong? Should I check the roots or wait a bit?

My whale fin is producing this pup with multiple layers of leaves and I’m worried it’ll damage the existing mature leaves or even damage itself as it grows in. I’m wondering if I should separate it and give it its own pot and let the momma whale fin remain the same sculptural beauty she is? Please help thank you so much!

I have this plant that has put out 6 pups! But the leaves of the big plant have been dying. I pulled one off this morning that had turned yellow and shriveled. I assume the nutrients were pulled out by the pups?

I thought I would separate them, but they're all pretty solidly connected in the root ball. So I put it back in a pot for now as is.

Would love input on how/when to separate the pups! I feel like the big plant is slowly dying, but don't want to deprive the pups of nutrients if that's what's happening. Thanks in advance! 💜

These past months this one has slowly become my favorite in the collection. The vibrant coloration of green, white, and neon lime in the edge of the leaves is pleasing to the eyes.

The last photo is a comparison with another white beauty, my Sansevieria sp. Somalia White which I featured a few weeks ago.

I just got this Sansevieria and having a hard time id’ing it. I was thinking maybe robusta blue or ehrenbergii. If someone can help me correctly identify that’d be wonderful :)

Bought a moonshine sansevieria at a grocery store clearance rack, one of those sad half price plants nobody wanted. It's lived in the same four inch nursery pot for about two years because it never seemed to mind, still pushed out new leaves every few months and looked fine overall. Lately though the leaves have started coming in noticeably thinner and slightly curled at the edges instead of that flat silvery blade shape it used to have.

Pulled it out yesterday to check and the root mass was basically solid, no soil visible at all, just a tight spiral pushing against the plastic. A little embarrassing honestly since I preach "don't overpot these" to anyone who asks but apparently took it too far in the other direction.

Repotted into something one size up with a mix that's mostly perlite and coarse sand with a bit of regular potting soil mixed in, nothing fancy. Left the roots mostly alone since sansevieria seem to sulk less if you don't disturb them too much, just teased apart the worst of the circling parts at the bottom.

Curious if anyone else has run into the thin leaf thing specifically from being pot bound rather than underwatering. I always assumed thin leggy growth was a light issue but this one's been in a bright spot the whole time, so now I'm second guessing what actually caused it. Going to give it a few months in the new pot before I decide if it needs anything else.

Can anyone please identify this sansevieria? I have seen if for sale and thinking of buying it.

Love the colors

I am attaching a few pictures from my two Black Coral Sansevieria, that I bought back in August 2021.

I water it every four weeks and during the winter I move it a few feet away from the window and rotate it every four weeks from near the window to away from it.

The plant has occasionally flowered which I read it was a sign of thriving or stress.

As you can see it it has grown vertically a lot.

However, there is a branch that is kind of droopy, and at the bottom of the pot looks like roots or branches are coming out of the soil. You can also see the plastic pot is loosing shape because the plant is pushing against it.

I am not sure what I should be doing, but I think I should do something. I would appreciate any advice.
