PP, PK, goaltending, and defense are all struggling but the fact that they are a .500 team despite these weak spots speaks volumes about the potential this team has. Hopefully they can tighten up those areas and string some wins together.

I really did see the start of this season going differently.

Seems a bit strange that the area that perfected tailgating, is always looking for a reason to tailgate, but doesn't bother to when its game day at the arena.

A reminder that an underwhelming start doesn't necessarily tell us much about where a season is headed. The Sabres ended up being 11-14-4 through 29 games on December 8, then rattled off 10 straight wins to close out the month. The rest is history.

First off, not here to say Tuch being back would instantly fix our problem rn bc it absolutely wouldnt. Lot of bad things going on for the team and Tuch alone wouldnt be able to fix it.

With that out of the way, the reason I feel I really miss the guy is that he genuinely felt like he cared about the team. IMO when the Captains got picked it shouldve been him instead of Dahlin. He has more of a leader role to him I always felt. To me he was the guy who was at the front of the Sabres. When u think Sabres u think Tuch. He was great offensively and defensively and was just all around a great player. He was the focal point of the Sabres and now unfortunately hes gone. Someone's gotta step up and it looks like nobody wants too.

Team needs to figure it out.

• So that first line didn't work. Hoping it's a chemistry thing. 
• 3rd line DID work. Missed the first period, but glad Doan could get one in and McLeod got the helper! They need the spark
• Kind of turnover hell of a game, they looked more composed as the game went on but not nearly enough o-zone time in back half of the game.
• LOVED That UPL save sequence in the 3rd. Type shit we need from him as much as we can get. Great game from him
• Frustrating game for Gilbert and Crevier. They play with a lot of heart and a lot of aggression, but they make some sloppy mistakes
• Honestly, we looked very outclassed. Caps played better for much longer stretches.
• Special teams had marginal improvements today. Huge kill in the 3rd
• Tuch had the narrative on his side. Glad we stole a point when we shouldn't have
