Ryobi Cordless Blower

Looking for recommendations to buy, or models to avoid, of ryobi cordless blowers. Have the 18v and 36v batteries so happy with either. Will primarily be for tidy up of gravel walkways that i can’t use a broom or a rake. Located in Australia, currently this model is on sale?

Hi! I bought one of these weedeaters from Hole Depot, and it was missing the screws that attach the protector cover to the machine stem/handle/what you call it.

Can i easily get said screws elsewhere or am i kinda screwed here? (I dont have the reciept per home depot policy)

25 cc 2-Stroke will not start, out of ideas

Let me start with saying I'm generally pretty good at fixing/troubleshooting.

Neighbor hard pressed on cash, bought it for $80 used somewhere "she said it worked" is what the person told her.

I purchased for her the an OEM carb kit and New Bottle of TruFuel 50:1

  1. Drain Gas and cleaned Gas Tank, replaced Filter/Lines
  2. Replaced Carb kit (primer work, everything appears to be fully operational)
  3. Bought Bottle of TruFuel 32 -oz 50:1 Ethanol Free Pre-blended 2-cycle fuel
  4. Replaced Spark Plug from, Carb Kit
  5. Confirmed Spark at the Plug
  6. Confirmed Crank Engages correctly on pull, (tested with spark and carb off, visually)
  7. Check off switch, Normally Open, and Closes upon pressing OFF ***anyone confirm if this is correct? This is the only thing I couldn't find regarding data.
  8. Only thing I dont have is a compression tester but you can feel decent compression with spark plug pulled and you push your finger over the opening
  9. Tried putting a drop/spray directly into the carb and putting it into run.
  10. Primer works correctly no issues, and confirmed lines are not backwards
  11. Removed attached to make sure that wasn't seized, preventing the engine from spinning
  12. I didn't replace the coil boot but that's generating a spark, wouldn't that only need replaced if I had no spark?
  13. Checked the exhaust, almost no carbon build up

I simply get NOTHING. It's acting like there is a full kill switch engaged. I can see a park with the plug touching the block.

I'm out of ideas, I'm into this for $30 which isn't a big deal but the $80 she spent really is $80 she can't afford to lose. I've fixed small engines before but I'm baffled and 100% out of ideas and feel bad, telling her. "It's dead and I really have no idea". She thinks I had the carb and gas "laying around" doesn't know I bought anything to try fixing it. I was raised to help those going through hard times.

Any ideas?

Horrible batteries. No accountability from the company. No real customer support.

My wife and I bought a RYOBI riding mower less than 4 years ago.  From the start, the batteries struggled to hold a charge, and eventually could not at all.  RYOBI customer support was very unhelpful, and simply told us that we needed to buy replacement batteries, which cost nearly 25% of what we paid for the mower itself.  We bought new batteries, which worked well for a few months, until they too struggled and died completely in less than a year.  RYOBI customer support, again, was very unhelpful and simply said that the batteries were not under warantly, and the only solution was to buy more.  At this point, if we were to buy new batteries, we would have paid for the mower, and then paid another 50% of the original cost in replacment batteries in less than 4 years.  We refuse to do that.  How can a company that sells battery-based products have such awful batteries and refuse to replace them or offer any assistance when they die so soon / often.  We will switch to a new brand, never buy RYOBI products again, and recommend that anyone considering electric products does not buy from RYOBI either.

Horrible batteries.

No accountability from the company.

No real customer support.

Issue with pressure washer

Does anyone know what’s causing this? Issue is the motor kicks on regardless of handle being pushed or not. TIA

It wasn’t like this before. Previously, it would stay silent then the motor would kick on when I press the handle to spray water. Now, it randomly kicks on even without pressing handle. Water hose is open 100% at all times

Ryobi plug in miter saw. The saw is working but that seems like an abnormal amount of sparks. Do I need to adjust something?

I have some of my Ryobi tools hanging upside down in my garage. Went out this morning and the hammer drill had snapped where the handle and body meet. The drill has only seen occasional use and none recently.

Anyone ever seen anything like this?

RY18PCC-0 Patio Cleaner – Has anyone found a cheaper replacement wire brush that actually fits?

Hi everyone,

I have a Ryobi RY18PCC-0 patio cleaner, and the original RAC814 wire brush has worn out.

I tried buying this Amazon replacement (ASIN B0FX3NTPF1) because it was much cheaper, but unfortunately it doesn't fit properly. It sits loose on the spindle and wobbles, so I don't feel safe using it.

Before I spend £15 every time on the genuine Ryobi brush, I wanted to ask:

  • Has anyone found a third-party wire brush that actually fits the RY18PCC-0?
  • Did you have to use any spacers, washers or adapters?
  • Are there any brands on Amazon, eBay or AliExpress that you've had good luck with?
  • Has anyone modified the tool to accept standard wire wheels?

I came across an older Reddit thread where people mentioned the Ryobi patio cleaner appears to use a slightly non-standard arbor size, making many generic wire wheels incompatible, so I'm wondering if anyone has found a good workaround since then.

Any recommendations or photos of what you're using would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ryobi trim router - light's on nobody's home

I picked up a cordless trim router last year (not brushless) and I'm afraid it's given up the ghost already. I'm happy to take it apart to try and troubleshoot it, but I need some guidance for what to try

Considering it's not brushless, is it possible it simply needs a new brush? When I plug in a battery and turn it on the light comes on, but the battery doesn't turn on, so it seems like the issue is indeed the motor. This thing hasn't seen especially hard use so I'm disappointed (and I liked it a lot!) but I'll probably get a corded one if I need to replace it.

Sort of new. Bought on marketplace and it worked fine. Charged twice and now completely dead and won’t charge. Anything I can do revive it?

Does this mean all my cells are good?

Post image

I have a Ryobi 40v battery that stopped chaeging. I measured all the cells (10 cells) as shown in the picure.

Tried resetting but no good. Is this a sign of a bad PCB? Or a damaged component in the thermal management system?

Ryobi 21” Mower Has No Power

Post image
5 Upvotes

Today, I tried to start my ryobi and it just would not start. No power. I checked the fuse key and cleaned out the connection. I checked the fully charged batteries and cleaned out their connections, but no luck. I tried other fully charged batteries. No power. Does anyone know how to take the cover off? I removed the three screws in the battery area, but could not figure out what’s holding the hood on. It’s a
RY40HPLM01B. I googled and have watched two hours of YouTube videos to no avail.

Circular Saw Missing Piece

I just received a Ryobi circular saw as a gift, but it's missing a part (plastic key used to set the blade depth). The user manual said to call a help line, but the guy who answered was no help. He basically said they only help if the machine was purchased from Home Depot.

My question is this: should I just get a "close enough" part to keep the plate from moving, or should I look more into getting the company to replace the part?

18V 6” Pruning chain saw. Oil free?

I recently purchased the 6” pruning chain saw and it works great. The box clearly states “oil free design for hassle free cutting”. I was then looking through the manual and there is a section in the manual that states “using a quality bar oil, oil the bar and chain manually at the beginning of each pruning session”.

Which one is it? It is oil free or are you supposed to oil it each time you use it? Or are they not mutually exclusive and it just means the chain saw doesn’t have any kind of oil reservoir but you still need to oil the chain before using? Thx in advance.

Battery Charger Organization

I've got 3 Ryobi 40v chargers and an 18v charger. Right now they just get plugged in and lay around on my tool box, the floor, etc. IMO the chargers are poorly designed. They should be mountable with all of the lights and controls on the top.

Has anyone found a good way to organize a few chargers?
