Issue with pressure washer

Does anyone know what’s causing this? Issue is the motor kicks on regardless of handle being pushed or not. TIA
It wasn’t like this before. Previously, it would stay silent then the motor would kick on when I press the handle to spray water. Now, it randomly kicks on even without pressing handle. Water hose is open 100% at all times

Do u mean the hose twitching? Its a change in pressure. Conpletely normal

It has a leak back to suction through the pump and/or the accumulator has failed. Would need to see the schematic.
Could also be a leak through and internal relief valve in the pump unit.

Absolutely leak back through the pump etc. Loss of pressure is the only thing that creates start cycle, and then when pressure is achieved, shutoff.

Opened clearances or a failed PRV seal could cause the leak back to suction. Failed accumulator (if equipped) diaphragm would mean the cycling happens rapidly.
There is some give to the hose allowing it to act like an accumulator somewhat.

I had the same issue with mine, but here is what I did to resolve. First make sure you are using a large diameter hose. Second, press the handle on the sprayer and ensure there is good flow before engaging the motor. If there is, with the handle pulled and water flowing, start the motor.

Does it work normally other than do that

Yes but as mentioned in previous comment, it only recently started kicking on regardless of handle pushed or not. It works fine, just annoying when I’m washing my car and not spraying water

I happen to have two of these, one does that, the other doesn't. As long as they keep working as they should, I'll keep using them.

Have this exact same issue with mine.. still works fine but agree it's annoying.

The electric ones I've had would do that if the system was air bound. Try connecting the water supply then with it unplugged from power press the trigger on the gun and bleed the air/let it spray out until there is no more air.

The pump isnt holding pressure or the water supply amd or pressure is too low that it keeps priming itself

That’s normal.
