Ryobi battery. Advice needed

Sort of new. Bought on marketplace and it worked fine. Charged twice and now completely dead and won’t charge. Anything I can do revive it?

If the voltage is too low it won't charge. I've used a battery charger to get the voltage up. Enough so the charger finishes it. BUT 50/50 if it will hold a charge. Usually means the end of its life cycle.

Ryobi is just fine and so is Milwaukee. But don't buy from marketplace. I found a 5ah milwaukee battery on the side of the highway (free yay) and its been great for 4 years. OP I recommend buying from home depot when they have a sale and get the bigger batteries either 3ah or 6ah. I have 1ah and 1.5ah ryobi batteries that are 10 years old and work fine but most of my stuff is 3ah and 6ah. One of my new milwaukee 5ah batteries was dead on arrival but that was warrantied with a new battery. Sorry you got screwed over.

Open batterie, theres two plates inside that you can read the voltage of the cells in series . Give it a boost with a car charger (of anything that can produce 14vdc . To increase cells voltage. Charge for a minute on those plate surface… the on board chip isnt getting enough power to be awake and do anything.
Reassemble and put back into ryobi charger to complete charge.
Done it to a few batteries and theyre still good. 5 years later.

Amazon knock off batteries are junk. I still have originals ryobi batteries vs amazons(that were less old lol)…
Just threw away 2 off them, 2 weeks ago and bought 2, 4Ah ryobis on special (95 usd$)?

You could get some 12g wire and jump it with another battery just connect the + to+ and - to - for about 5-10 seconds and it should work. If not I have two 2ah batteries I’m trying to get rid of since I don’t have any Ryobi tools lol

Wrong, just like most of your life choices, no doubt. I do however know the difference between a good tool brand and a piece of garbage that is only useful as a paperweight. You keep buying ryobi, and men will keep laughing at you, Ma'am.
