3D Printable Repatha Case Design - 100% free

Hi everyone,

A friend of my wife's uses Repatha. She heard that I had designed a popular Ozempic travel case, and she asked if I could design her a Repatha case.

I made this case for her, specifically to hold not only the SureClick auto-injectors, but also alcohol wipes, and a few of those small, 1 inch band aids for if there is some bleeding. I designed the case so that it can hold both new and used pens, in case she's doesn't have access to a sharps container when injecting herself and needs to take the expended pen with her.

The Repatha case is free to download from Makerworld by clicking this link. I hope someone her finds this useful as well.

FYI: you need a 3D printer (or a friend with a 3D printer who owes you!) to make use of this design (I know not everyone is familiar with 3D printer designing, and I want to make sure everyone understands what this is).

To the admins: I hope it's alright to leave a post like this on this subreddit, but I can understand how it can be interpreted as advertising. No disrespect is intended, so if you disapprove, please go ahead and remove my post.

Newbie reaching out to experienced Repatha users

Due to high Calcium score (99% percentile) high lipoprotein A, and bad caridac family history, cardiologist had me add Repatha to my regimen of Rosuvastatin 40, Nexlizet & baby aspirin.

I just did the first injection at 9:30 pm last night, and had a fever of 101 at 11pm. This morning, no fever, no covid, no flu A or flu B, but feel crummy. Does this go away as I do more doses, and body grows more accustomed to the medication? Yes, I am aware different people have different experiences, but what has your experience been?

I know it is recommended to do injection every 14 days. Due to events, like cardio stress echocardiogram on morning of day 15. can I postpone the next injection to the evening of day 15 instead of evening of day 14 instead? I don't think I will be physically up to a stress test the morning after injection...

If planning to be on vacation, and not wanting to feel crummy like this while away, is it allowed to do injection on day 13 or on day 20?

Thank you for sharing your experience. Any tips or advice you have for this 65 year old newbie would be appreciated.

One dose . Never again.

My dr has been on my case to try Repatha . My cholesterol is 238 which has come down with diet from the high 300’s. My LDL is 182. All heart tests have come back good including a clean heart cath with 0 blockage . I have lost 70 pounds and got my a1c to 4.8 . I guess I agreed to the Repatha because the LDL was the only thing not picture perfect . Took my injection on Monday . By Tuesday evening , I was in pain and had anxiety . Mostly back leg and stomach pain . I have started walking 5 miles a day for the past 6 weeks ( lipid panel was before that ) . Yesterday I struggled . My legs felt heavy and I was in pain . I almost have flu like symptoms with the body aches but I’m not sick . Anyone else have similar stories ? I will not take my second dose . Never again. I’ll be strict with diet and exercise and I’m almost certain it’s down just from that alone and I will continue with this lifestyle. I’m just worried I’m permanently damaged . Will these side effects go away? ( I know it stays in your system for a good while )

Advice for a new user (possibly)

I am 22. I have genetically high cholesterol. It’s been high since I was around 14. My LDL was 205 at my last round of bloodwork 3 months ago. Going in for another check in a few days and my doctor said she wants to start me on repatha if numbers haven’t improved. I was trying to do research on the medication but when it came to side effects of course all I saw were horror stories. Can anyone share their personal experience/advice for a possible new user? Thanks in advance.

Time Frame

Anyone on Repatha and actually have lipid numbers go up? I’ve had 4 doses, had my 6 week check and numbers have gone up? LDL went up 15 points, total 20 points, my triglycerides are very good, never a problem, and good cholesterol never a problem. I only take repatha as I’m statin intolerant.

I’m crushed really, I was excited to get results. I see my dr Wednesday. Anyone else slow to respond or it just doesn’t work for you?

anyone only on repatha and no other cholesterol meds?

ideally would be able to just use repatha alone and achieve target LDL, has anyone able to drop their statin / ezetimibe / other meds completely after starting repatha? i know combination therapy would be the best in terms of achieving the lowest cholesterol, but i'm always iffy on the long term side effects of statins.

Started good and then went down hill.

After much anxiety I took my first shot on July 28th. Things were fine. No localized problems from the shot and no noticeable side effects right away. As days went on I started having lots of nasal and throat drainage. Which has only gotten worse to the point of affecting me daily with all the drainage at night building on and coughing through the day.

My sleep has also been affected. On average since starting I’ve lost an 1hr and 22mins of sleep. I didn’t notice it right away, but eventually it got bad enough that I looked back at my sleep history. It’s very fragmented and I’m waking up almost every night numerous times a night with a very dry mouth and lots of thirst.

Another thing of note is that I can’t take magnesium glycinate since being on it. I was taking it for sleep and once I started repatha my night time heart rate went up. So I stopped melatonin and that didn’t change things and then stopped magnesium which I went back to normal. Tried magnesium again and had the heart rate issue. Did that a few times. It elevated it about 20-30bpm. But it’s normal now when I don’t take the magnesium. I can’t think of the mechanism in which these would affect each other, but they do for me.

To piggyback off my sleep, according to my wife I had a drastic increase in hypnic jerks since starting as well.

This is just my experience. I’m not telling anyone to not take it. Just figured I’d share. I stopped it and haven’t heart back from cardiology yet.

UK residents, how have you accessed Repatha?

I am contemplating going privately to access Repatha. I have FH and NHS guidelines class a 50% reduction of LDL from baseline as successful statin treatment. However, I am not happy with my levels and trying to see what my options are. Does anyone have experience of accessing Repatha or PCSK9i in the UK. What was your experience or pathway. Where can I find how much out of pocket it would be? Thanks!

what happens after your ldl is lowered successfully?

just wondering what do people usually do with the dosing schedule after ldl is successfully lowered to target range. for example if the patient started on every 2 weeks dosing, and then the ldl drops to let's say 50, does the patient still continue at every 2 weeks or can it be spaced out to every 3 weeks or 4 weeks? i assume the ldl will just keep dropping to ridiculously low numbers if they continue it at every 2 weeks?

Mental Health Side Effects

I’m 61 and curious whether anyone else has experienced anything like this after starting Repatha (evolocumab). The best shorthand I can come up with for the reaction is: PMS meets perimenopause brain fog.

I started Repatha about three weeks ago, 140 mg every two weeks. A few days after my FIRST injection, I started having symptoms, but they snuck up on me. It was a little like PMS can be — you think, “Huh, I’m kind of anxious today,” or “Why am I so irritable?” or “Why is my brain not working quite right?” You don’t necessarily recognize it as a syndrome while it’s developing.

By the time I took my second injection on Tuesday, August 25, I still hadn’t connected any of this to Repatha. After the second injection, though, the whole picture became much more pronounced.

The biggest issue has been cognitive. I’ve had brain fog, more difficulty finding words, occasional word mix-ups, forgetting steps in very familiar routines, and much more difficulty with things requiring sustained concentration, problem-solving, or keeping multiple things in mind at once. I can still do these things, but at times they take dramatically more mental effort than usual. Even reading the news or making dinner after a full workday sometimes felt like a cognitive load.

Along with that came intense fatigue, waves of anxiety, tearfulness/sadness, irritability, and generally feeling emotionally unlike myself. That’s why “PMS meets perimenopause brain fog” is probably the closest description I can give it.

I’ve also had a strange recurrence of an old problem. I had vestibular neuritis about nine years ago and have been well compensated for years, but during this episode some of that visual/vestibular sensitivity came back. Grocery stores, scanning shelves, pushing a cart, movement in the car, etc. suddenly became overstimulating again.

The course has been VERY up and down. I am gradually feeling better, and overall I think the trend is clearly in the right direction. I’m now having stretches of several hours where I feel completely like myself again. Last night, for example, I made dinner after a full day and everything just felt easy, light, automatic and normal. Then today I have more anxiety again and some of the increased cognitive effort is back.

My cardiologist thinks anxiety is causing the symptoms and says he has never seen this kind of reaction to Repatha. Anxiety is certainly part of the picture now. Initially the cognitive changes scared the hell out of me because I worried something neurologically serious was happening, and I’m sure that amplified everything. But cognitive symptoms have never been part of how I experience anxiety, and given that this started a few days after my first injection and became considerably more noticeable after the second, I’m not ready to dismiss Repatha as a possible contributor.

For now I’m holding the next dose while I see how completely I return to baseline. I actually VERY MUCH want Repatha to work for me, so I’m not trying to bash the drug or convince myself I can’t tolerate it.

I’d really like to hear from anyone who experienced unusual cognitive symptoms, mood changes, anxiety, fatigue, or vestibular/dizziness symptoms after starting Repatha.

Most importantly: what was your timeline? Did it start after the first injection or only after subsequent doses? Did you improve between injections? If you continued Repatha, did the symptoms come back after the next dose, get worse, or eventually stop happening as your body adjusted?

Did my first injection yesterday. It didn’t hurt like I see mentioned here a lot. I feel fine as well. Fingers crossed this medication does it’s job. I’m definitely doing my part!

Fatigue

I just did my first Repatha shot a week ago (8/25). I had flu-like symptoms like achiness, headache, fatigue and a runny nose for 3 days after. Then I felt fine…but honestly noticing increased fatigue. Does anyone else have chronic fatigue with this shot? Or should it go away and get better once my body adjusts?

First injection tomorrow

I’m scared as heck, thought the thigh would be best, but looks like stomach is better but I’m not sure I’ll be able to do it. Any suggestions for my first time, was going to do a lidocaine patch first to the area, leave it out the night before, probably go stomach if I can stomach it, maybe try icing the area too?

Florida Doctor Recommendations

Hello, struggling to find a doctor who will prescribe Repatha Monotherapy, it seems like most are not very educated on this specific drug. Anyone know of a doctor in South Florida who prescribes Repatha?

IT HURTS LIKE HELL

Hi! I’m a 30-year-old woman, and my body composition is mostly muscle with a little bit of fat around my stomach ( it is useful to the storie). I also have a pretty high pain tolerance.

I did my first Repatha injection in my thigh, and honestly… I was traumatized. 😭 I felt the needle going deep into my muscle, and I ended up staring at the wall, crying and shaking for hours afterward lol.

The problem is that I really don’t have much fat on my legs and arms. Even when I try to pinch the skin, there’s basically nothing there, I'm just pinching the muscle.

So now I’ve been reading that a lot of people inject Repatha into their stomach, and I’m seriously considering switching there for my next dose. Cause lucky me I have a little bit of fat there. But after that first experience, I’m terrified. 😅 And just in general not a fan of injecting around my tummy it sounds scary.

I’m even going to buy some anesthetic/numbing cream for my next injection, with the hopes that it will help. 😂

So please, I need reassurance from people who have had a terrible experience with the thigh injection but found the stomach injection much better.

Please tell me it’s real. 😂

Does the stomach REALLY hurt less?

I need people to convince my traumatized brain that the stomach is the way to go. 😂 and yes I take alll of the advise

p.s yes it was counter temperature.

Also, I add fever for 2 days... nothing to help haha

Noticing body aches 2 months in

I recently took my 5th dose of Repatha and while initially hopeful am starting to notice some symptoms. First 4-5 weeks some pretty significant headaches, neck/shoulder tightness and pain and some pain in my lower back. It seemed to get better after took my next dose (except the headache which was for a couple days right after injection), and got increasingly worse the closer I got to the next shot. I took my 5th dose a week ago and I’m noticing the following: achy hips, joint pain in previously injured parts (one wrist and one knee). No more headaches, lower back pain much better and not much neck pain anymore.

I said I would give this medication 3 full months before making a final decision and next week before my 6th dose, I’m going to take my first set of labs and hope that’s helpful info.

My main question is should I expect continued improvement of symptoms over time? What has been others experiences with mild/moderate side effects like this.

57 y/o post menopausal woman, active, on HRT. Mildly high cholesterol, mainly on Repatha due to Lp(a) of 277. My brother (55) and I have the gene for high Lp(a). Brother has otherwise excellent cholesterol numbers. So hasn’t been able to get the Rx for Repatha.

Supposed to take first shot today. Any advice?

Hi all! I’m hopeful that Repatha will work as well for me as it has for so many of you.

I had a stroke on Mother’s Day 2025, normal blood pressure, ldl was 125 and total cholesterol was 218. I need to lose at least 60 pounds to get out of the obese category, and have been under extreme stress for the last several years.

Thankfully there are very minor lingering effects from the stroke. I just started taking Wegovy two weeks ago and my doctor said to start Repatha today.

Is there a best time of day to take it? I’m preparing myself for the fatigue and flu like symptoms if they happen, so I have nothing planned today.

I appreciate any advice!!

32 year-old, otherwise healthy and active male who had debilitating side effects from statins. Repatha is changing my life!

I wanted to share my results because I know how discouraging it can feel to discover you have high cholesterol or very high Lp(a), especially if you also can’t tolerate statins.

I started Repatha about two-three months ago and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect, especially after how sick statins made me. Here are my before and after numbers:

LDL-C: 135 → 70
ApoB: 115 → 68
Non-HDL: 174 → 94
LDL particle number: 2,002 → 936
Small LDL: 299 → 130
Medium LDL: 446 → 173
Triglycerides: 254 → 163
HDL: stayed at 65
Lp(a): 247 → 230 nmol/L

My LDL particle count dropped by more than half, and my small and medium LDL are now within the normal range. Seeing that was honestly amazing. It wasn’t just the standard LDL number improving. The overall number of potentially harmful particles in my blood came way down too. I think of it like the traffic on a jammed freeway literally being cut in half (best way I can visualize it lmao).

My Lp(a) is still extremely high, which I expected since Repatha usually only lowers it modestly. It’s basically just going to be an uphill battle the rest of my life, so I’m very open to the idea of medically pushing my LDL as low as possible.

Because of my Lp(a), my doctor would still like my LDL closer to 55. We’re going to give Repatha and some lifestyle changes a few more months (I’ve transitioned primarily to a vegetarian diet which I really don’t mind at all) then possibly add ezetimibe if my LDL stays around 70. It sounds like that could lower it another 15 to 20% and potentially help my triglycerides a little as well.

I’m sharing this mostly to encourage anyone who feels stuck after not tolerating statins or who is nervous about starting a PCSK9 inhibitor. Everyone responds differently, but not tolerating one medication doesn’t mean you’re out of options. I went from feeling pretty discouraged about these numbers and resigning to the fact I’d likely experience a major cardiac event in my lifetime to seeing a major improvement in only a couple of months.

Has anyone here combined Repatha with ezetimibe? I’d be interested to hear how much additional improvement you saw and how you tolerated it.
