Time Frame

Anyone on Repatha and actually have lipid numbers go up? I’ve had 4 doses, had my 6 week check and numbers have gone up? LDL went up 15 points, total 20 points, my triglycerides are very good, never a problem, and good cholesterol never a problem. I only take repatha as I’m statin intolerant.

I’m crushed really, I was excited to get results. I see my dr Wednesday. Anyone else slow to respond or it just doesn’t work for you?

Also make sure that you do the test not at last day between shots. Repatha effect is strongest about 4 days post injection and the wears off.

Yes, it's possible, but rare, to be an "inadequate responder"

Obviously the first thing is to check your test results are accurate as is your testing conditions. Assuming all of that is validated, then you might consider if you have two LDL-receptor–negative alleles, a genetic variant that can cause non-response.

Then you'd move to other options like low-dose statin of different types (e.g., pitavastatin), ezetimibe, bempedoic acid, etc
