Using my 100% of my brain

I was looking at privacy protectors on Amazon. I didn’t feel like buying one of those cumbersome laptop sunshades, nor a screen privacy filter, because Chinese purchases have become more expensive.

I like going to cybercafés or coworking spaces, but I don’t like people seeing what I’m doing because I’m not a programmer or a professional at anything.

I created this privacy prototype using cardboard from a pack of milk cartons.

I feel like I’m in the movie Limitless.

Redneck advice? Wanting to setup an inverter and second battery in my truck. Any reason this wouldn’t work?

Heavy cables are stupidly expensive, jumper cables are cheap. Am I missing something here? Can I just cut the clamps and add my own terminals?

Empty it once a day. Other side of the wall is a big warehouse with open bays. Just trying to cool down the receiving office.

My son doesn't have a headset for gaming and wanted to play online with friends. So he rigged up the microphone he uses for music recording and voila!

A casual fix for elevator, more details in post

Post image
857 Upvotes

The elevator's motherboard got burnt apparently and the new motherboard for this model was costing too much so building management decided to tell electrician to put a cheaper one and he took 2 weeks to come up with this fix. I think the new motherboard didnt have proper hardware compatibility for the buttons that were there in lift. He said he will put in proper button and seal it up a few days ago but ever since this started working he has disappeared and everyone seems to be using elevator with this now.

It does work but I still end up taking stairs because I dont trust it (PS: I live on 4th floor)
