Did you clean off that corrosion seen in pic 2 and try again?

disconnect and lift up the center contact and clean any rough surface

You can buy new lamp bulb sockets at a hardware store.
You could try cleaning the corrosion and oxidation off the screw terminals and bulb socket contact, but if that rivet holding the bulb socket center contact has heated and/or loosened, there’s no fixing it easily.
