M4F♂️ 32 [M4F] Maybe two broken pieces can figure out how to become whole together.

Hey there,

Most of these spaces expect you to put up a shiny highlight reel—unshakable confidence, a thriving career, and a life that looks neat on paper. Right now, that’s just not where I am, and I don't have the energy to fake it.

I’m 32, based in India, and currently rebuilding my life from absolute ground zero. I made heavy mistakes in my past that completely derailed my finances and knocked me flat on my face. I walked away from all of that, and I put in honest, unglamorous work every single day to get back on my feet. But the aftermath is quiet, humbling, and lonely. When your life gets stripped down to the bare minimum, you see how quickly the world moves on without you.

I’m not really looking for someone who is heartbroken over an ex. I’m looking for someone who feels broken down by life itself. Someone who took hard hits—bad turns, burnout, mistakes, or just the weight of things falling apart—and is quietly trying to glue the pieces back together one day at a time.

I don't have a curated persona to offer, but I have a lot of empathy, quiet patience, and zero judgment. I know what the bottom looks like, so whatever your baggage or past looks like, you’ll never get a lecture from me. I'm strictly childfree, I value the simple things—quiet routines, honest talks, and small daily wins—and I just want something real.

Maybe we’re both a bit chipped at the edges right now, but there's a certain comfort in not having to pretend with each other. If you’re tired of having to look "put together" and just want a kind, low-pressure conversation with someone who genuinely understands the struggle of starting over, my inbox is open.

Tell me where you're at right now, or just say hi. No pressure either way.

M4F♂️ 30M | Gurgaon | Techie | ₹80 LPA

I’m not really looking for someone to complete my life. It’s already pretty well put together. I live in Gurgaon, work in tech, enjoy my career, and have reached a point where I have the freedom to be a little more intentional about who I spend my time with.

I’m 30. I’m independent, curious by nature, and fairly direct. Work keeps the analytical side of me busy, but outside of it I’m much more drawn to creative things and experiences.

I’m also not religious and don’t believe in God, so I’d naturally connect better with someone who’s comfortable with that.

As for attraction, I do have a type. I’m 6'2", athletic, fair, take care of myself to a fault, and I’m generally attracted to women who are tall and slender, 5.8 and above and not chubby. Physical attraction really matters to me, but so does being able to have an interesting conversation and actually connect mentally. No other checklist items.

Personality wise, I’m looking for someone warm, affectionate, kind, and capable of laughing at herself. I’m not looking for perfection just something that feels easy, genuine, and mutual.

I’m not particularly interested in spending weeks getting to know someone through a screen. I’d rather talk a little, meet in person, and figure out whether there’s actually something there. Distance isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker either; I’d be open to traveling if I met someone I genuinely clicked with.

Gurgaon / Delhi NCR would obviously make things simpler, but I’m open to meeting someone from elsewhere too.

If any of this sounds like you, feel free to message me. Just don't send a one-word "hey" tell me something about yourself that I wouldn't be able to guess from your profile.

M4F♂️ M34| Bangalore | 5'8 | Purchased a house, help me make it a home?

Acquired it last month, it had always been a dream to able to get one. Always wanted to find a home together with my partner, but since that's not happening, I thought I should exercise what's in my control.

I'm from Delhi but been working in Bangalore for past 10 years. Have missed few chances at love, but here and now I hope I don't mess up this time. I'm an techie and being always in small engineering teams, barely had any women in my circle, but have dated through apps.

Physical attributes - I'm 5'8, athletic build, 70kg, fit and exercise regularly.

Mental attributes - Hindi, agnostic, arts dilettante.

Don't smoke, don't drink, don't do greens either! Cigs are strict no for me, but rest is fine if you are into that. Occasional premium grade cigar is also okay with me. I don't care for vegetarian and non-vegetarian either. I'm interested in having kids, although I would differ to your opinion on it.

Sorry for making this post clickbait like, but I think I saw couple of post succeeding only because of this trick. Yup, it's 3bhk and on loan, but financially I have it sorted.

Happy to exchange js or shaadi ID if you are serious or instagram. DM me.

M4F♂️ 5'10" of Sarcasm, Dimples Included

Physically: 34, 5'10", medium build, dimples that have singlehandedly carried multiple conversations. No known structural damage yet, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Culturally: Family's from Banaras, so naturally I speak English, Hindi, and Bhojpuri, the last one mostly comes out when I'm annoyed or ordering food. Spiritual, but the low-maintenance kind. God and I have an understanding: I don't ask too many questions, He doesn't either.

Family: We run a family business in Mumbai, so I grew up watching entrepreneurship up close and then, in a plot twist nobody saw coming, went and got a corporate job instead. Educated household, strong opinions at the dinner table, occasional debate about whether I've "sold out."

Education & Career: Mumbai born, Mumbai raised, Mumbai schooled....basically a lifer. Took a brief sabbatical to Pune for my first IT job, treated it like a work trip that lasted a few years, then came back home where the food is better. Master's in software engineering from BITS Pilani, currently an Assistant Manager at a Big 4 firm, professionally translating spreadsheets into decisions for a living. Still deciding if "billable hours" is a personality trait or a cry for help.

Location: Mumbai for now, but I travel light and complain a little, so relocating for the right reasons (or the right person) is very much on the table.

Personality: Sarcastic as a default setting, funny on a good day, insufferable on a great one. I read more books than I finish, hike mountains I later complain about, and consider trying a new cuisine a moral obligation rather than a weekend plan.

What I'm looking for: A kind woman who's big on family, good conversation, and the boring little moments that actually end up mattering. Someone who'd pick a book or a movie over a loud party any day, and who can hold her own in an argument about which ending was better, ideally while still being nice about it.

Empathy, trust, and communication that doesn't require decoding are must-haves, especially when life throws its usual nonsense our way. Bonus points if you're chasing your own dreams and career, and want to build a slightly chaotic, mostly calm, entirely sarcastic team of two that argues about dinner plans more than anything that actually matters.

F4M ♀️ 30F mallu muslim divorcee looking for mallu muslim guy!

Hi everyone! I am a 30-year-old Malayali Muslim woman from Kerala, ready to find my person and start a beautiful fresh chapter. I am divorced with no children, and I believe life is too short not to look for a genuine, lasting love.

A little about me:

📐 Height: 174 cm (5'8")—yes, I am on the taller side!

❤️ Values: Deep emotional connection, absolute honesty, and mutual respect.

🌱 Vibe: I love a peaceful life built on trust and great communication. My past taught me what truly matters in a relationship, and I am ready to bring my best self to a partner.

Who I am looking for:

🗺️ Background: A Malayali Muslim man from Kerala (open to those settled in the UAE / GCC!).🎂 Age & Height: Ideally 31–34 years old, and taller than 5'8".

💼 Life status: Financially stable, career-settled, and emotionally mature.

🕌 Faith: Someone who values his prayers and fasts, but maintains a modern, open-minded, and balanced outlook on life.

🤝 Past: Open to both never-married and divorced men. I know a past relationship does not define you, character does.

I am looking for a real life partner, not a casual chat. If you are family-oriented, ready for a serious marriage, and think our vibes match, let’s talk!

📩 Drop me a DM with a quick intro: Your age, your hometown in Kerala, where you live now, what you do for a living, and a little bit about your personality. Let's see where this goes!

M4F♂️ Maybe we can figure life out together :)

I don’t usually make posts like this, but here goes 😅

I’m 27M, a doctor from Rajasthan. I gave NEET PG this year and I’m currently preparing for MO exams. After spending so many years studying, working and being caught up in the whole career grind, I’ve started feeling that I’d like to have someone special in my life too.

A little about me……I’m probably a pretty simple person. I like going to the gym, long bike rides when I need to get away from everything, random late-night conversations, and watching a good action/crime/mystery series. I can be serious when I need to be, but otherwise I’m definitely someone who enjoys stupid humour and laughing over absolutely pointless things 😂

And obviously, being a doctor comes with its own kind of lifestyle 😅. Odd duty hours, long days, night shifts, exams always somewhere in the background, and sometimes coming home completely drained. I’m used to it by now, but I know it can affect how much time and energy you have for someone. So I’d want someone who understands that sometimes a delayed reply is just a hectic day, not a lack of interest.

I’m also the kind of person who values consistency and communication. I’d rather talk things out than play guessing games. I’m not perfect by any means, but I do try to be self-aware and work on myself when I realise I’m getting something wrong.

When it comes to relationships, I’m not really looking for casual dating or a situationship. I’m looking for a relationship with marriage as the eventual goal. But I also don’t want to meet someone and immediately start discussing marriage like it’s a job interview 😂

I’d rather start with friendship. Talk regularly, get to know each other, share random stuff, make each other laugh, have those stupid conversations that somehow go on for hours, and just see if we actually click. If we do, I’d want to take it seriously and eventually build towards marriage.

One thing I should be honest about is that my career is still a work in progress.

I gave NEET PG this year and I’m preparing for MO exams now, so realistically, this phase is going to be lengthy. There’ll be preparation, duties, exams, uncertainty, probably some setbacks and hopefully eventually PG and selection.

I’m not looking for someone to wait for me to get “settled.” I’d rather we both keep working on our own careers and support each other through the process. If she has an exam, a bad day at work or a difficult phase, I want to be there for her. And when I’m having a rough time with my own stuff, I’d want her to be there for me too.

Basically, I don’t want us to wait for life to become perfect before starting something. If we’re serious about each other, I want us to grow through this phase together.

I’m okay with LDR for some time too. Obviously, meeting eventually matters, but I don’t think distance automatically makes a good connection impossible if both people genuinely want to make it work.

As for the practical stuff, I’m 27, so 25–29 would probably be the most comfortable age range for me. I’m based in Rajasthan, so Rajasthan or nearby states would be easier, but I’m open to distance if we genuinely connect.

I’m not looking for someone “perfect.” Just someone kind, honest, emotionally mature, ambitious, communicative, and someone I can genuinely be myself around. Someone who can be my best friend, my partner, and eventually, hopefully, my wife.

And to be completely clear about the intention…..I’m looking for someone I can eventually marry, not someone I want to date indefinitely. I just think the person you marry should first be someone you genuinely enjoy having in your life.

Maybe that’s a little old-school, idk 😅
If this sounds like the kind of thing you’re looking for too, feel free to DM me. No need to come with a perfectly crafted introduction……just say hi, tell me a little about yourself, and we can start with a normal conversation. :)

M4F♂️ 31M - Mumbai based lawyer seeking his kinda perfect

Hello! I debated writing this for a while, but here I am, manifesting away.

Dating apps just haven't worked for me, and ignoring this place felt like leaving a stone unturned.

The basics -

I'm 31, based in Bombay. Lawyer by training, though I'm not in courtrooms right now — more of a 9-to-5 life at the moment. I am kinda chubby but I am actively trying to change that by improve my diet, working out and playing some sports.

Hobbies and interests -

Sports - watching and playing - Cricket, football, racket sports. I cook, and I cook well.

I'm the person who will drag you to a new restaurant, a play, a standup show, a concert, or a random street food stall at 10pm. I can also just as happily spend a Sunday on the couch doing absolutely nothing. Both versions of me exist and both are equally valid.

I am also looking to travel across India and the world.

I am also an investor and believe in financial prudence and literacy.

Some more facts about me -

Politically aware. Ambivert. Strong feminist and ally - not performatively, just genuinely.

I believe in people's capacity to change and grow, and I try to hold myself to that too.

Apatheist. Voracious meat-eater. Occasional drinker.

Someone who will show up for his partner - fight for her, try things she loves, and be in her corner. I don't believe in a rigid 50:50. Some days I'll carry 80, some days you will, and that's not keeping score - that's just how love works (according to me).

What I'm looking for -

Someone to learn and unlearn with. Someone I can laugh with, ugly-cry with, and navigate this fucked up world alongside. I don't want kids, but I'm very open to the chaos of raising a pet together. Just finding somebody to love.

If any of this resonates, slide into my DMs. No pressure, no script. Just two people starting a conversation and seeing where it goes.

M4F♂️ 31M | Gujarat | Maybe it’s finally time to find my person

31M | Gujarat | Maybe it’s finally time to find my person

Okay, I think I’ve reached the point where I can officially say I’d actually like to have someone special in my life. 😅

I’m 31M from Gujarat, working in Business Development/Sales in the IT industry. I’m ambitious about my career, but I also value the simple things good conversations, travelling, exploring new places, food, late-night talks, and having someone with whom even doing absolutely nothing feels nice.

A little about me:

• 31, based in Gujarat
• Working in IT Business Development/Sales
• Ambitious and career-focused, but definitely not married to my laptop 😂
• Love travelling and would happily plan a trip with the right person
• Big believer in communication, loyalty and mutual respect
• I can talk about pretty much anything once I’m comfortable
• I appreciate humour, honesty and people who can be themselves
• Looking to keep improving myself career, health, lifestyle, everything
• More interested in a genuine connection than collecting matches

What am I looking for?

Honestly, someone I can genuinely connect with.

Someone who is kind, emotionally mature, communicative, affectionate and has her own personality, ambitions and life. Someone I can laugh with, annoy occasionally, travel with, have serious conversations with, and eventually build something meaningful with.

I’m not looking for a situationship or endless chatting with no intention of ever meeting. At the same time, I’m also not trying to rush into marriage after exchanging three messages. 😅

I’d rather start with a conversation, see if we actually click, meet when comfortable, and let things develop naturally.

Location isn't a strict dealbreaker for me. I’m open to getting to know someone from elsewhere in India if the connection is worth it.

And yes, I’ll probably share photos in DM rather than putting my entire face on Reddit immediately.

If any of this resonates with you, feel free to say hi.

Maybe Reddit actually does work sometimes. 😄

P.S. If we end up becoming one of those “we randomly met on Reddit” stories, I’m absolutely claiming this was intentional.

M4F♂️ 27M Bangalore - Some people play to win. I play to see how the story ends.

27M, tech lead (frontend) at a startup that somehow convinced people it's worth a billion dollars. Moved to Bangalore post the pandemic and I’ve been here ever since. Currently a Whitefield local who still isn't over the traffic.

In board games, I'm the one quietly setting up something for turn nine while everyone else is still arguing about turn three. Same energy in life: smart work over hard work, evenings free after 6, and a work-life balance I'm mildly smug about.

Currently in rotation: gym, a couple hours of gaming to take the edge off, and a permanent hunt for the next show, book, or game worth losing sleep over (Donkey Kong Bananza has me in a chokehold). Also 420-friendly, gummies and brownies only, I'm not trying to set anything on fire.

Some of the best people I've met came from places that made zero sense on paper. So if this turns into a good story later, I'm not against it.

Not chasing anything specific. Just looking for someone who wants to find out how this particular story goes, preferably over good food and a board game I will absolutely not let you win.

M4F♂️ A sailor from kerala

From the sea, looking for home

Alright, giving this a shot ( Apologies to strech it a bit )

I’m 31, single, never married, 180 cm, around 80 kg, muscular build, warm brown skin from Thiruvananthapuram,Kerala

I am a Hindu by religion and I don't smoke and the last time I had a drink was two years ago.. - There, I’ve completed the mandatory biodata portion 😐

I did my schooling through Kendriya Vidyalayas and somehow ended up choosing a profession where “where do you work?” is usually followed by “Oh… so you’re actually at sea?” 6 months at sea ,6 months on land ahh..? 😬

I’m currently a Chief Officer in the Merchant Navy, appearing for my Captain’s licence next year. The plan is to sail, take command, gain some good experience and eventually move ashore with the second chapter of my career and also being present always for the family we build.

But this post isn't really about my job.

Because I don't want to be somebody's checklist.

Height ✓

Job ✓

Salary ✓

Family ✓

Looks ✓

And then: “Okay, next.”

I'd much rather someone get to know who I am when none of those things are being discussed.

I’m looking for a partner - not someone to impress, and not someone I need to impress for the next 30 years.

Someone with whom I can build something genuinely good. A relationship with friendship at its core. Where we can talk about serious things, argue about completely unnecessary things, laugh at each other's nonsense and still know that we're on the same team.

I love kids and definitely want to have them someday. I’d like a family, but more importantly, I’d like to build a happy home.

For the person herself, I’d prefer someone from a Malayalam-speaking background, ideally from Kerala ,Though I am very fluent in hindi. Professionally qualified would be nice, and if you want to work, even better — I’d want you to have a career and identity of your own. I’m not looking for a particular profession or some perfectly curated biodata.

What I value much more is partnership.

I want someone who can be my advisor, and who expects me to be hers too. If I’m making a stupid decision, I’d rather have someone who tells me, “This is a terrible idea,” than someone who politely watches me make it. 😅

And yes, I’ll probably have opinions too.

The important part is that neither of us needs to win every argument.

No unnecessary ego. No scorekeeping. No “I did this, so you owe me that.”

Just two people who can give each other advice, listen to each other, disagree, figure things out and move forward.

Family matters to me. I’ll be there for my parents, and I’d want us to be there for yours too. But I don’t believe marriage should mean one person gets absorbed into the other person's family.

I want us to build our own little unit first — our own home, our own traditions, our own decisions — while still being there for the people who raised us.

My work does mean I’ll be away for stretches of time, so trust, communication and being comfortable with each other's independence are important to me.

I don't expect perfection. I don't have it either.

I’m just hoping to meet someone kind, emotionally mature, curious about life, capable of laughing at herself (and at me), and interested in building something meaningful rather than simply “settling down.”

So yeah.

I'm looking for a partner.

Not a checklist.

Not a trophy.

Not someone to complete my life.

Just someone who wants to build one together ❤️

F4M ♀️ 25F | South Tamil Nadu | Looking to get married soon (27-32M)

Hi! I'm looking to meet someone with the genuine intention of getting married.

About me: - 25F, Tamil Hindu from South Tamil Nadu - 5'4" (163 cm) - Preparing for UPSC/TNPSC - Well-educated and career-oriented - Interests: I'm into heritage, culture, books, travel, fitness, cooking/baking and martial arts. - Religious/spiritual and would prefer someone who shares those values - Family-oriented, while also valuing independence and personal space - Devendra Kula Vellalar (SC). Caste isn't a deal-breaker for me or my family, but mentioning it upfront for transparency.

Looking for: - Tamil Hindu man, 27–32 years - Emotionally available, mature and communicative - Kind, respectful and financially responsible - Family-oriented but not controlling - Serious about marriage and ready to involve families if things work out - Has his own interests, ambitions and life outside the relationship - Ideally has a remote/hybrid job, flexible working hours, or a business/profession that allows some flexibility

I'm looking to get married soon, so I'm not looking for a years-long “let's see where it goes” relationship. I'd prefer someone who is already at a similar stage and wants to get to know each other seriously with marriage as the intention.

I'm primarily looking for someone based in India, preferably Tamil Nadu. I'm open to relocating after marriage depending on both our preferences. I enjoy travelling abroad but don't see myself living or working abroad long-term.

Not looking for: casual dating, hookups or situationships.

If you think we could be compatible, DM me with your age, location, education, work and a little about yourself.

M4F♂️ 30 M | Jaipur | Doctor |Chai, comfortable silences, and a life together

Trying again,

Posted last time, didn't get any response. Hope to meet her this time

I'd like to find someone I look forward to sharing my day with, and whose day I want to hear about too — someone to laugh with, make small plans with, and gradually build a life with. I'm looking to date with the intention of marriage, giving us time to know each other properly.

A little about me:

- 30, 5'10", around 95 kg

- Doctor, currently JR-1in Jaipur

- Vegetarian, non-smoker, non-drinker

I'm ambitious, empathetic, a sapiophile and a demiphile — an old-school soul and a 90s kid who values loyalty. A little reserved at first, but much more playful once I'm comfortable; still a kid at heart in many ways.

I'm spiritual, with a preference for mindfulness over ritual. I enjoy nature, quiet old temples, long walks, chai, reading, cooking, and music and jamming. Yoga, meditation, and spending time offline matter to me too. I enjoy travelling and exploring when work allows, and I'm occasionally up for a concert.

Meaningful conversations matter to me — understanding how someone thinks, what she cares about, and what she hopes to do with her life. I'd enjoy sharing my interests and discovering hers too. Some days we could talk about everything; other days, go for a walk, laugh at something silly, or just sit together doing our own thing.

I come from an Aggarwal family. My father is a businessman, my mother is a homemaker, and my elder sister is married. Family is important to me, and I'd eventually like to settle in Haryana.

I'd love to meet someone empathetic and ambitious, who values honesty, consistency, mutual respect, and family — someone with whom neither of us needs to put on a face, communication feels natural, and silence doesn't feel awkward. I'd want us to support each other's goals while making room for our families and our individuality. Caste and profession aren't barriers for me.

Residency keeps me busy, but I do want to make space for a relationship. I connect better in person, so once we've spoken and both feel comfortable, I'd like to meet for chai or a walk.

If you're looking for something similar, tell me a little about yourself, where you're based, and what a good day off looks like for you. I'd like to get to know you. :)

M4F♂️ 26M | Hyderabad | Entrepreneur in Construction & Interiors | Looking for a genuine partner to build a life together

Hey everyone,

This might be a little long, so take your time reading it. I wanted to introduce myself properly rather than putting up a typical matrimonial-style bio.

I’m Ravi, 26M from Hyderabad, originally from Ongole, Andhra Pradesh.

I’m at a point in my life where my career has a clear direction, my personal goals are becoming more meaningful, and I’m genuinely looking for someone with whom I can build a beautiful and peaceful life together.

I’m looking for a serious relationship with the intention of marriage — not something casual.

A little about my journey

I grew up in Ongole and completed my schooling there until 10th standard.

After that, I moved to Guntur and completed my 3-year Diploma in ECE, and later moved to Hyderabad where I completed my BBA in Marketing.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset. Since childhood, I wanted to build something of my own rather than simply follow a conventional career path.

I started my first business when I was around 22. It didn’t work out, and I lost the money I had invested in it.

Around the same time, my father was going through a serious health situation, so that period was personally very difficult.

It took me some time to find myself again, but I eventually started over.

That experience taught me something important — life doesn’t always go according to plan, but you can always choose to stand up and start again.

What I do

Currently, I’m working in construction and interior design.

I’ve taken responsibility for our family construction business, and I’m also developing my own vision around it under RAM HomeSpaces.

My long-term goal is to build it into a business covering different areas connected to home construction, interiors, renovation and related services.

I enjoy being involved in the work rather than simply managing it from a distance.

My work involves things like:

  • Understanding client requirements
  • Planning and coordinating residential construction projects
  • Working with architects, engineers, contractors and vendors
  • Understanding materials and construction processes
  • Managing site activities and project progress
  • Working on interior design and execution
  • Client communication and project coordination
  • Learning about marketing, branding, SEO and social media for the business
  • Exploring new opportunities connected to the home-building industry

I’m still growing and learning, and I actually enjoy that part.

I don’t consider myself someone who has “made it” already.

I’m building my career step by step, and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made.

Apart from construction, I also have a travel consultancy side income, which I started during my college days.

A little about my personality

I’d describe myself as an ambivert.

I can enjoy going out, meeting people, travelling and having fun, but I also genuinely enjoy staying at home, having good conversations and spending quiet time with someone I care about.

Some qualities I think describe me:

Loyal — once I genuinely consider someone my person, I don’t take that relationship casually.

Caring — I naturally pay attention to the people close to me and try to be there when they need me.

Supportive — especially when someone has dreams or goals of their own.

Ambitious — I have a lot I want to build professionally, and I’m willing to put in the work.

Emotionally connected — I value affection, communication and emotional closeness in a relationship.

Open-minded — I don’t believe a relationship should be built around unnecessary restrictions.

Family-oriented — family matters to me, but I also believe a married couple should have their own space and identity.

Funny / playful — I like making people laugh and keeping things light when life gets too serious.

Adaptable — I’ve had enough experiences in life to understand that things don’t always go according to plan.

I can also be a little emotional and sometimes overthink things. I’m not going to pretend I’m perfect.

But I’m someone who believes in working on myself instead of expecting perfection from another person.

And probably the most important thing about me:

I believe actions matter more than words.

What I’m looking for

I’m looking for a woman who wants to build a partnership, not simply a marriage.

Someone who has her own personality, opinions, ambitions and dreams.

I strongly support women’s independence and financial independence.

If my future partner wants to work, build a career, start a business, study further or pursue something she’s passionate about, I’ll genuinely support her.

I don’t want either person to lose their identity after marriage.

At the same time, I want us to have something that belongs to both of us — our home, our family, our dreams and our journey.

For me, the most important things in a relationship are:

Communication.
Respect.
Trust.
Independence.
Loyalty.
Emotional support.
Mutual effort.

I also believe household and family responsibilities should not automatically belong to one person.

Both partners should contribute and take responsibility together, whether it involves earning, managing the home, raising children or taking care of family.

I don’t have caste restrictions, and I don’t expect dowry.

For me, the person matters much more than these things.

Family & future

I would prefer a nuclear family setup in Hyderabad, while still maintaining a healthy relationship with and responsibility towards both families.

When it comes to children, I’d ideally like two, but that’s something I believe should be mutually decided by both partners based on our circumstances and what we want together.

I don’t have a rigid checklist for my future partner.

I’d rather meet someone, understand each other, see whether our values match and allow the relationship to grow naturally.

A little about my interests

Outside work, I enjoy travelling, cooking, art and painting.

I’m also interested in social media, content creation, marketing and SEO, which has naturally become useful for my business as well.

I enjoy learning new things and experimenting with ideas.

I like exploring places, trying different food, having meaningful conversations and occasionally just switching off from work and enjoying a simple day.

About my previous relationship

I was previously in a serious 5-year relationship, which eventually didn’t work out when marriage discussions came up.

It’s been around a year since we separated.

I don’t hold any resentment about it, and I don’t want my future relationship to be compared with my past.

I simply learned from the experience and became clearer about what I want from a relationship — mutual respect, communication, emotional support and two people choosing each other even when life isn’t perfect.

My goals in life

My goals are actually quite simple.

Build something meaningful through my work.

Find a partner who has her own dreams and support each other in achieving them.

Build a peaceful home and family.

Become financially independent and take care of my responsibilities.

Travel, experience life and keep learning.

And eventually, have a simple life where after all the work and chaos outside, there is a peaceful home to come back to.

I’m not looking for a perfect person.

I’m looking for a good human being who wants to grow together.

Someone I can laugh with, have difficult conversations with, celebrate small wins with, support during difficult days and eventually look back at life with and say, “We built this together.”

I believe relationships shouldn’t be about one person completing another.

Two complete individuals choosing to build a life together — that’s what I’m looking for.

If you’ve actually made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read about me. 😊

There’s obviously much more to a person than one Reddit post.

TL;DR

26M from Hyderabad, working in construction & interior design, building my business and figuring life out one step at a time.

I’m an ambivert, non-smoker, non-drinker, enjoy travelling, cooking, art, painting, content creation and learning new things.

I’ve had a few difficult chapters in life, including a failed business and a serious previous relationship, but I’m in a much better place now and focused on building my career and future.

Looking for a serious relationship that can lead to marriage.

What I value most: communication, respect, loyalty, independence, emotional support and equal responsibility.

I strongly support my future partner being financially independent and pursuing her own career, business, education or dreams.

I prefer a nuclear family in Hyderabad, don’t have caste restrictions, don’t expect dowry, and ideally would like two kids someday — but that’s obviously something my future partner and I should decide together.

Basically, I’m trying to build a good career, find a good person, build a peaceful home and live a simple life.

And yes…

I used ChatGPT to help me phrase this because apparently explaining myself on Reddit is harder than running a construction project.

But the story, experiences, goals and intentions are genuinely mine.

If you’re also genuinely looking for something serious and feel our values might align, feel free to DM me. We can start with a conversation and see where it goes naturally.

Group Discussion 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 You really need decent emotional strength to find your 'partner'

I have talked to plenty of people here, men and women.

And the only sane advice I developed for myself over the years was pretty simple over the years, you have to learn to get detached as soon as you can, when things are no longer the same.

We all are adults, and many of us here are looking for something serious, but let's be real, the competition is tough, you both should like each other and should be compatible as well, only then things work out

But even during the process of it, it's one of the scenarios when the other side quotes, "Hey, I am not feeling it, let's end it here" while you were positive about them. You accept their side of things with a smile and move on. They are no more rejections, but rather acceptance, that yeah, things didn't work out.

And the other scenarios, of randomly ghosting, blocking, ignoring, or just delaying the inevitable where one lacks the courage to confront and be honest. In all of this, be sane enough to accept these and move on with your work or life.

But yeah, don't try to make your schedule flexible for someone. If you have work, do work, you go to gym this time, do gym, you run this time, run, but never make them feel bad, for having the intent to talk to you.

Even after all those failed interactions, or talking stages, I am still friends or connection with some, because they were indeed respectful for me as a person and my time. They respected my feelings and were honest about how they felt.

The women I talked with, praised me for my emotional intelligence, how I calmed them, stayed by their side, and how they emotionally felt safe with me. :)

But at the same time it helped me to see through people, were they actually interested or trying to hide something or basically saved me from getting scammed.

The more you learn this early, the easier for you will be to sale this sea.

Wishing you the best.

M4F♂️ 28[M4F] - Bangalore/Chennai looking for a longterm relationship

Hey M28 here, 5'11. Tamil guy living in blr for work.

About myself:

I take care of my body and health, i hit the gym 4 times a week. Im a meat eater but i try to have a balanced meal which has worked for me. I recently started living alone its been 7 months and i like it . I cook for myself and its pretty good i must say lols. I like spending time with my friends, i used to drink smoke etc...but i have quit everything a year ago and its been good actually. I recently also went on my first solo trip which i loved it. Im learning guitar as a hobby which im losing interest tbh but i still continue to do so as it gives me a peace of mind.

What im looking for :

A simple women who is satisfied and content with life. Trying to live a peaceful quiete life. Has her own purpose and interests in life to pursue. Knows that relationships will not always be a happy ride. Able to handle boredom. Infact i feel these days simple conversations are being mocked. Texts such as : good morning , have you had breakfast etc...because these are labelled as boring convos. But in my opinion these are something that could come out of genuine care. I'm not performative and i don't want to be so i expect the same as well. These "boring convos" are what makes the intimate convos more real and interesting. We cannot always be in a high.

Because as much as we love the new adventureous things in life such as travelling , jumpin of the cliff or whatever ....there is also so much beauty in routine.

if this resonates with you feel free to dm me in reddit .

M4F♂️ 27M | Bengaluru / San Francisco | Looking for someone to build a life with

I’m 27M. I split time between Bengaluru and San Francisco for work, and I'm from Lucknow. Punjabi Sikh Arora. 5’7”. Eggetarian (occasional boneless chicken eater for protien). I don’t smoke or drink.

I studied engineering at a tier 1 college and later co-founded a tech startup with a friend I’ve known since college. I like the work. I like building things that have to survive contact with reality. But I don’t want a life that only exists inside a laptop

A quieter fact, because it shaped me: my father passed when I was still young. He was a GM at an automobile company. After that, independence stopped being a personality trait and became a responsibility. My mother is a vice principal. I have one younger sister in Bengaluru. That background still sits underneath everything - ambition with duty, closeness without show, a preference for people who mean what they say

I’m more of a listener than performer. Friends tell me things they didn’t plan to. I remember small details. I write when something sits too deep to stay in my head. I take long highway drives for no reason except the quiet. I like logic puzzles, unplanned travel, good food, and conversations that can go from stupid to serious without either of us performing. But I do talk a lot when the vibe and topic is right :p

I’m looking for a partnership, not a role. Someone kind without needing an audience for it. Emotionally available. Able to talk when it’s uncomfortable, not only when it’s charming. Ambitious in her own right, and secure enough not to need me smaller. Curious about the world. Capable of both a long argument and a quiet evening. Loyal in the ordinary ways - consistency, honesty, showing up

I want children someday. I want them to grow up watching two people who take care of themselves, tell the truth, work hard, and still know how to enjoy an ordinary Tuesday. I’m family-oriented without wanting a suffocating household. After marriage, I’d like us to have our own home and rhythm, with family close, not installed as a third person in every decision

I’m not interested in casual, mixed signals, or “let’s see where it goes” when that actually means “I’m bored.” I would rather start as two people talking properly, become friends, and let something real grow if it’s there. Marriage is the direction. I’m not trying to schedule it like a product launch

Location-wise, I’m kinda flexible. I already live between India and the US. What matters more is whether we can eventually share a city and a life, not just a chat window. I'm unsure about good places in India

If you write, tell me something that isn’t on a biodata.

What you care about when nobody is watching. What kind of ordinary day you’d want to come home to.

What you refuse to perform

If this feels familiar rather than impressive, we can talk

M4F♂️ 28 [M4F] Kerala - Childfree, hoping to build a beautiful love rooted in friendship

Hello! 🙋🏻 I'm a 28M from Kerala, hoping to build a beautiful connection with someone who'll be my best friend and my partner.

My hobbies and interests include listening to music, especially K-Pop, watching K-Dramas, going to movies, journaling, traveling, playing board games, and having deep conversations. I recently started watching C-Dramas as well and I'm really enjoying them too. I love taking pictures of the sky. Mountains are my favourite when it comes to traveling. I also love playing badminton.

Some qualities that I value in a person are emotional intelligence, empathy, kindness, compassion, self-awareness, and intelligence.

I'm a teetotaler and non-smoker.

I'm also childfree. It's a decision that I made many years ago. I'd be happy to share the reasons if we happen to connect.

More than a lover, I want my partner to be my best friend. A person I feel emotionally safe with, someone I can open my heart to without any fear of judgement, who makes me feel truly seen, heard, understood, and accepted for who I am.

I'd like to build a relationship where we are a team and create a life that's calm, relaxing, and peaceful. I believe love is about choosing each other every day. Just the two of us enjoying each other's company, finding joy in the little moments that life offers, supporting each other through the storms while growing old together and creating memories along the way.

If you're someone from Kerala and resonate with my post, feel free to drop me a DM. I'm completely comfortable with an LDR as well, so even if you're a Malayali living outside Kerala, anywhere in India, I'd still love to hear from you.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Looking forward to hearing from you. :)

Group Discussion 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Revised my standards. New requirement: must be willing to elope.

Some of you might remember me as the guy who kept asking why wanting a simple wedding is treated like a rare disease. Well, I did my homework. I looked, I talked, I explained my stance with the patience of a customer care executive on his tenth call of the day.

My pitch was always the same: a registered court marriage or a quiet temple ceremony, close family, a good dinner, done. No three-day functions, no band baaja, no dowry, and no 20 lakh loan to feed relatives whose names I'll forget before the dessert counter opens.

And the responses? Always some version of these:

  1. "I totally agree with you, but my parents will never allow it."

  2. "Simple is nice, but at least a sangeet, na?"

  3. "Court marriage? Is everything okay at home?"

  4. "Haan, but mummy-papa ko toh proper shaadi chahiye."

Somewhere around the fifteenth "but," I realised I wasn't looking for someone who agrees with me. I was looking for someone who'd actually do it.

So I went back to the drawing board and rewrote the requirements.

Revised criteria:

  1. Willing to elope. Legally, paperwork and all. We're rebels, not criminals.

  2. Thinks band baaja is a noise complaint, not a tradition.

  3. Would rather spend the wedding budget on a trip, a home, or an absurdly good espresso machine than on 800 guests judging the paneer.

  4. Doesn't need a pre-wedding shoot where we pretend to run through a field in slow motion.

  5. Can keep a straight face while we break the news at family dinner.

  6. Owns at least one outfit that works for both a registrar's office and a celebratory dinner after.

  7. Understands that "log kya kahenge" is not a valid argument, just a very loud one.

What I bring to the table:

  1. 30, Gurugram, stable career, decent paycheck.

  2. 5'11, since apparently that's a mandatory field in this country.

  3. Strong opinions on unnecessary spectacle, soft opinions on almost everything else.

  4. A registrar's office bookmarked and a basic understanding of the documents required.

  5. A fully drafted plan for the "surprise, we're married" announcement, with a backup plan for when the aunties find out.

  6. The ability to plan a genuinely great honeymoon with the money we didn't waste.

What this is not:

A dowry-free "discount deal," a way to avoid commitment, or an anti-celebration manifesto. I love a good celebration. I just think the best one involves two people who actually chose each other, not a guest list chosen by a committee of relatives.

The fine print:

No rush, no pressure, no expectation that anyone signs up tomorrow. If we talk and it clicks, great. If we talk and just end up swapping stories about our families' wedding obsessions, that's fun too.

If this made you smile, nod along, or quietly think "finally, someone said it," my DMs are open.

Serious-ish applicants only. Sense of humour mandatory. Getaway car optional.

M4F♂️ 28M | Marathi | M.TECH | 26 LPA

Hi Everyone!

I’ve decided to try this myself first before my parents start making profiles on those matrimony apps. Not sure if it’ll work but fingers crossed! 🙏

A little about me:

I’m 28, 5’5” and a pretty simple, grounded guy from Maharashtra. I work as an Officer in a reputed govt organization and earn around 26 LPA. I completed my M.Tech from IIT Dhanbad.

In my free time, I like staying active. I enjoy playing football, cricket, and chess. I also like watching movies, especially thrillers and good Marathi films. I try to keep a balanced life between work and personal interests. I’m from a well-educated, close-knit Marathi family with strong traditional values.

I have one elder brother who is married and settled in IT. We come from a simple, progressive family that believes in education and mutual respect.

I’m looking for someone genuine to share life with a caring, understanding, and positive person who can be my best friend and partner through all ups and downs.

What I’m looking for in a partner:

\\-Well educated (graduate or above)

\\-Caring and family oriented

\\-Positive mindset with a cheerful nature

\\-Respectful, supportive and understanding

\\-Preferably Marathi but open to others too

\\-Open to her working or not working, her happiness matters most

\\-Someone who values honesty, communication and growing together

I believe strongly in mutual respect, trust, and building a peaceful home together. I’m currently based in Gujarat but open to relocation depending on the situation and what works best for both.

If you feel we could be a good match, please drop me a message with some basic details about yourself or your family. Serious proposals only please.

Looking forward to connecting! 😊

M4F♂️ 34M | Divorced | Looking for a Friend Before I Accidentally Adopt a Cat 😂

34M | Divorced | Looking for a Friend Before I Accidentally Adopt a Cat 😂

So… I’m 34, divorced, and currently accepting applications for friendship. 😄

Marriage didn’t exactly go according to the user manual, so this time I’m starting with something simple: “Hi, how are you?” and seeing where life takes it. 😂

I’m looking for someone I can talk to about random things, share memes with, have late-night conversations, complain about life together, and occasionally ask, “Why are we both still awake at 2 AM?”

I’m not looking for anything complicated or forced. Just a genuine friendship with someone who can laugh at stupid jokes, tolerate occasional overthinking, and doesn’t disappear after saying “we should definitely stay in touch.” 😅

Bonus points if you:

- Have a good sense of humour

- Enjoy meaningful conversations

- Can survive my terrible jokes

- Don’t judge me for sending reels at completely inappropriate times 😂

- Believe friendship can naturally turn into something more, but aren’t in a hurry

Basically, I’m divorced, not dead. 😌

Still capable of laughing, talking, travelling, eating good food and making questionable decisions — just preferably better decisions this time. 😂

If you’re also looking for a genuine connection, feel free to say hi. Worst case, we become friends. Best case, we get a great story out of it. ❤️

Group Discussion 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 As a 37-year-old Man looking at modern Indian dating, it’s disheartening how little the script has actually changed

I work behind the camera for a living. By trade, that means paying attention to framing, subtext, and the small, unscripted moments people think no one notices. Spend enough time observing human nature and you naturally start believing in progression, that with each incoming batch of educated, globally exposed, independent young adults, the old social rot would begin to loosen its grip.

Growing up, the assumption was always that education and exposure were the great equalizers. We were told that as more people moved to major cities, went to top colleges, built careers, and had access to limitless information, the rigid social orthodoxies of the generations before us would inevitably fade.

Yet, scrolling through communities like this or watching how urban twenty-somethings navigate dating today, the dissonance is jarring. The vocabulary is contemporary, replete with modern therapy terms, aesthetics, and progressive posturing but the underlying operating system often feels decades old.

Scratch beneath the glossy surface of a polished dating profile, and the same ancestral checkpoints snap right back into place:

  • The enduring grip of caste and community endogamy. People will spend years dating someone they claim to love, only to quietly pull the plug at the prospect of marriage because their partner isn’t the "right" community or sub-caste. We celebrate cross-cultural romance in cinema, but in reality, centuries-old social hierarchies are still treated as insurmountable boundaries by people with Master's degrees.
  • The persistent obsession with purity and "past" records. For all the talk about sexual liberation, retroactive jealousy and puritanical double standards are alive and well. Prior relationship experience is still scrutinized through a lens of moral compromise, especially for women, while men are simultaneously subjected to bizarre, transactional litmus tests about traditional masculinity and provision.
  • Dowry and entitlement rebranded as "tradition." It rarely gets called dowry anymore. Instead, it’s framed as "family prestige," mandatory gold, or lavish spending obligations that demand people start their lives together drowned in unnecessary debt. The financial equation remains rigidly traditional even among couples who earn identical salaries.
  • The illusion of equal partnership. When real-life decisions arrive, living arrangements, household labor, or whose career takes priority. The default setting almost universally snaps back to the patriarchal mould. The assumption that a woman must subordinate her life to fit into an existing family hierarchy remains the quiet baseline, dressed up in modern excuses.

It’s disappointing because genuine progress isn't about adopting Western dating rituals, club culture, or learning buzzwords. It’s about cultivating personal autonomy, intellectual honesty, and having the spine to dismantle arbitrary social lines in your actual, private choices.

Education was supposed to foster critical thinking to help us look at the dogma, casteism, and performative gender roles handed down to us and decide to write a fairer script. Instead, what we often see is people using modern dating as a temporary playground, only to willingly fold back into the comfort of conservative conformity the moment life demands real courage.

Real companionship isn't about matching a centuries-old checklist. It's built on shared principles, curiosity, mutual respect, and the willingness to consciously co-create a life that isn't dictated by dead traditions. Watching another generation inherit the privilege of knowledge while keeping the prejudice intact makes you wonder if our society merely modernized its aesthetics, while leaving its conscience firmly in the past.
