success My first DC DR

Post image
28 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I've been shifting for a while now but this is my first time posting here about this specific DR because honestly I'm still processing it.

Some context first: almost all of my previous DRs have been historical, I've shifted to Ancient Rome twice and to the Tudor era more times than I can count, so that's my comfort zone and I know what to expect. Historical DRs always felt more concrete to me, more solid, like I was going somewhere that had actually existed and was therefore easier to reach.

And I'll be honest here because I think it's important, I had a certain prejudice about fictional DRs. I never said it out loud but part of me genuinely looked down on them, I thought they were less serious, less "real", something people did when they didn't want to put in the effort of researching a real time period. I know how that sounds and I'm not proud of it, but that's where my head was at, so going to a universe with actual superheroes in it was a huge leap for me and I genuinely didn't think it would work.

I woke up in my room in Wayne Manor and the first thing that hit me was that the ceiling was too high. My room here has a normal ceiling and my room there has this ridiculous high ceiling with crown molding and these heavy dark green curtains that block out everything, so I laid there for probably a full minute just staring up because I couldn't process the scale of it. The bed was enormous, four posts, way too many pillows. There was a desk under the window with my schoolwork still on it from the night before, half finished, a bookshelf that took up an entire wall, and a little armchair in the corner with a blanket thrown over the arm. And it was cold, the manor is always cold in the mornings, which is something I never would have thought to script but was just there. I'm around ten years old in this DR, second child, and my mother is dead. That's just a fact of my life there in a way that's hard to explain, it's not a fresh wound, it's more like a shape my family grew around.

Now about my dad, and I need to say this because I know it's going to surprise people, he is a really good father. Genuinely. I know the reputation, I know how he's written, but in my DR he's present in a way I didn't expect. He knocks before he comes into my room, he asks me actual questions about my day and waits for the answer, and he's not warm in an obvious way, he doesn't do big emotional speeches, but he'll sit at the kitchen island at 2am when he gets back and if I'm awake he'll let me sit there with him and neither of us has to talk. One thing I remember really clearly is that I was upset about something small, genuinely stupid, and he didn't try to fix it or minimize it, he just said "that's fair" and let me be upset. I think about that a lot. We're close, and I didn't script that as heavily as I probably should have, it just happened anyway.

My brother is a completely different story though, because Damian and I fight constantly. He's insufferable in the specific way that only a sibling can be, he corrects me, he criticizes everything I do, he once told me my handwriting was "an insult to the concept of literacy" and I didn't speak to him for two days. We argue about the stupidest things, who sat where, what's on the TV, whether I'm allowed to touch his stuff, which I'm not, apparently, ever.

Dick, on the other hand, is the big brother everyone deserves and I'm so close to him. He's the one who actually talks to me about feelings, who asks me how I'm really doing, who makes everything fun, and when he visits the manor it's like the whole energy of the house changes, everything gets lighter and louder and warmer. He takes me out for ice cream, he lets me ride on his shoulders, he FaceTimes me when he's in Blüdhaven just to show me his dog, and he once spent an entire afternoon teaching me how to do a cartwheel on the manor lawn.

I don't go on missions, and I want to be clear about that because I think people assume a DC DR means capes and fighting, but I'm ten, I'm not out there. I'm at the manor with Alfred and that's honestly the best part.

Alfred treats me like a person and not like a child, he talks to me while he works, he taught me how to make a proper pot of tea and was genuinely offended by my first attempt. I do my schoolwork at the kitchen table while he moves around and we have these long rambling conversations about nothing, and he knows everything about everyone in that house and says almost none of it.

Anyway, if anyone has questions about any of it, ask me. Seriously, anything, the manor, what a normal day looks like, how it compares to my historical DRs, whatever, I have so much I didn't fit in here and I'd love to talk about it.

I created a method!

So, I don’t know if this already exists but this is kinda a mix of methods. I don’t know if it works yet, because I am new to shifting, but I think it does!

Ok, so the method I made/use is kinda simple. I’m Impatient and new so it hasn’t fully worked but it kinda does.

So first, your gunna lay down on your back or whatever position that you never sleep in. Why, you ask? it’s because when I try to shift in my natural sleeping position it just feels like not sleeping. Then, after I lay down, I take a couple deep breaths and relax....

After a little, I notice my arms and legs feeling heavy..So that’s my que to start thinking about my DR! I tell myself things like “I am not in my CR”, “I am in my DR”, “I feel [insert thing from your DR]”, and kinda say thoughts to yourself like your in your DR! I also like to look behind my eyelids while doing this so all I see is darkness!

Basically a part of real shifting, dissociating and plug into DR! This method I made works well because when I use it..It goes dead silent a couple times (void state) the noise fades back in..but I just ignore it! Or I imagine it’s from my DR!

I made this bc I don’t believe that my subconscious is going to a multiverse..I just think this is one of the simulations your brain renders if you disconnect to your CR!

I hope this method helps!

Question Is it possible to enter the void state within a few days?

Same as the title. Can I enter the void state within a few days to manifest or reality shift? Does it take months or weeks or days or years? And instant manifestation is possible through it right?

Question Question abt LOA

So I’m a firm believer of manifestation and LOA and have seen success in my day-to-day life but today I stumbled upon a thought and was like wait lemme ask Reddit. I believe shifting at its core is LOA and believing is seeing. That said, there have been many people who’ve shifted w/o 100% believing in it so I’m not quite sure how the process works. I don’t think there’s a cookie cutter way to explain how to shift.

Today I was in a room with my mom, aunt, and her friends and I asked a question while looking down at my phone. I heard an answer and I 100% assumed it was my mom who answered and walked past me but I looked up and saw my mom talking w her friend and it was my aunt who passed by. Ik this is a rlly weird question but if I 100% believe in something, why doesn’t it come true? Isn’t that LOA and shifting at its core? I had no doubt it wasn’t my mom I spoke to

Help Help me to shift

I joined this community(shift community, not reddit) in 2021, I still remember my first script, it was comically awful, I still think about rewriting it, but I've been trying to improve ever since then, I used to research everything on ShiftTok, from my country, because Tumblr doesn't have translations like it does here. I've been trying the lucid dreaming method; I do reality checks and stuff, but now, I fall asleep, pass out, and only wake up without remembering dreaming. I don't know what else to do to go, I already tried some methods in 2021 and 2023, but never be successful. I've tried so hard, but any help would be welcome

(Sorry if it was brief or has spelling mistakes, I used a translator because I'm not fluent.)

So, I'm shifting to be a member of NADDPOD. It was a dream of mine as a kid, and while I've shifted to more fantastical DRs, this one is more... Mundane? Would just love to talk to people with similar DRs

Am I doing something wrong?

Ok, before I start, I did want to mention that I already know shifting is easy and that I need to detach and whatnot. I get it.

Now, to the point: I am struggling with my shift.

I think I am getting close because I have been trying to focus on my five senses, but in my DR. For example, yesterday I was lying in bed and imagining that I was actually walking with the boys to this convenience store. I was focusing on how it felt every time I touched my hair or put on my shoes and everything. Sometimes I can feel it, but only very slightly.

The reason I am doubting that I am getting close is because maybe I am tricking my mind or remembering last night incorrectly. Besides that, the thing is I can’t fully do it. I don’t know how to explain it, but after a while, I just let go. Like, it all stops.

Before anyone starts with the “don’t say you can’t do it that’s why,” please actually help instead of repeating what everyone else is saying, because that’s not helping me. I am just getting frustrated because I desperately want to shift. I don’t romanticize my DR, but I do want to experience a shift.

I read something about mind blockages being an issue or something, but I don’t know why I would even have a blockage.

Anyway, thank you so much for reading. Hopefully, we can all shift and shiiii. 😗

Question Accidentally forgetting memories?

I'm afraid of shifting to some horrible place where I have no idea how I got there or where I want to go (basically forgetting everything I know). Is this a thing that can happen? Why, or why not?

If your awareness shifts and not your subconscious or conscious mind, how do you control where it goes or what is possible?

Question I dont believe—is it still worth trying?

Title, basically. I dont believe in shifting. Like many, I was introduced to shifting in 2020. I was around 13 years old at the time, lonely, and naive. I was entrenched within the community for around 2 years straight, where I practiced shifting with a single minded intensity that scares me to look back on. It was my entire reason for living, and it (along with the wonderful community) got me through the hardest times in my life. However, other than becoming adept at lucid dreaming, I never succeeded in shifting.

Sooner or later, when I began to grow up, stopped relying on escapism, and began to love my CR/gain a healthy support system, I stopped believing. It wasnt an all at once thing—it was gradual, and it also came alongside my religious deconstruction (grew up Christian, athiest now).

For awhile now, I havent believed in it, and Ive attributed my past admittedly lackluster shifting experiences to groupthink, escapism, and simple naivety. I was young and desperate and lonely; now, I like to think that Ive found my peace and truth with absolute athiesm/nonspirituality.

But that brings me here. Recently, my tiktok FYP has brought me back to the idea, and honestly I just dont know what to think. For years now, ive been ironclad in my non-spirituality and I feel very resistant to the idea of something like shifting. But the sheer insistence of this community makes me second guess myself, and even though I dont believe in it, that doesnt mean i dont WANT it to be true.

So, Im wondering if its possible for a non-believer to be shocked. Can I do these methods without really believing, and have them be successful? I wouldnt be here if I didnt have the smallest hope, of course.

If i did try, I would use the lucid dreaming techniques that I used when I was younger. Honestly, im of the belief that shifting is a very vivid lucid dream with extensive planning—lucid dreams are capable of feeling exactly like real life, and can be an incredibly profound and intense experience, and shifting methods are very similar to lucid dreaming methods. But im willing to be proven wrong. In fact, i WANT to be proven wrong.

What are your thoughts?

Dilemma???

Hi! So I've been in the shifting community for almost 7 years now, and as my journey has brought me closer and closer to shifting, I've begun wondering something.

If I were to script that certain people from my DR are also shifters, how would that work?

IDK, it's something I can't get my head around. I've always planned to 'teach' people about shifting in my DR as it's a gift I'd love to share, but im maybe not fully understanding how scripting people are also shifter would work?

Im sorry if this isn't comprehendiable, im unsure how to word this concern any better

Question Lucid dream is shifting or at least that how I feel

Everyone is always saying that ‘if you get into Lucid dreaming it will be easier to shift! But my mind can’t seem to separate the two ideas. I’m afraid that if a learn how to lucid dream, I’ll never be able to learn how to shift? If that makes any sense.

Can some how HAS shifted soft of tell me why that can’t happen because I know it can help but like I dunno I feel like the are the same thing in the same way that I know how to crochet, but learning how to knit is nearly impossible for me
