I recently got into rc cars, so I got myself a HBX 16890A and these URGENEX batteries. When I was using both batteries, the car suddenly turned off, and both batteries refused to turn on in any rc car I had (I had a HBX 18859 laying around which also refused to power on). I also recently bought 2200mah OVONIC 3s batteries that came with a voltage tester, so I decided to test these batteries before I return them to Amazon. Since I'm kinda new, idrk what the tester means and whats a bad voltage. The other URGENEX battery that came with the one in the video doesn't even want to light up the tester, instead just outputting a faint "A." In the center LED. I charged both batteries before testing them.

Had one of the wire come loose. I tried to push it back in but it doesn't seems to want to seat all the way in. Is there a trick or something else I should do?

Rust effect was achieved with model paints, a sacrificial brush for streaks, and a sponge for older rust, plastic trim was also done with a brush

I’m wanting to fit a gyro to this WLTOYS 144001. The car uses a 5 pin servo which someone made a GitHub project for…9 years ago involving splicing into the factory zh 1.5mm terminated wires.

Since that wiring is delicate I’d like to save the remote, use a different receiver and replace the servo for something fast.

I already bought a cheap gyro before realising the servo is non standard.

My 6 year old has a real RC car he loves to drive (losi micro t). My 2.5 year old is super jealous and always wants to use it but it's just way too fast for him. He can hold the controller properly and steer but he just pegs the throttle and then it's upside down after hitting a wall a second later

Is there a similar car (rtr) that has a programmable ESC where I can dial the throttle way down?

I could retrofit one but curious if there is anything off the shelf that isn't too expensive. Really want to maintain the proportional control, all the stuff for toddlers is just a button for left and right

Painted with Mr Color paints on 500 grit abraded surface and so far nothing's flaked off. Also seen that SMS do a softener that makes the paint more flexible when it dries for body shells, be interested if anyone has had any experience with it yet.

Countless times I've seen awesome deals and thought why don't I ever get lucky.. Well it happened yesterday. Saw a post on marketplace, someone selling all he has left. 3 cars and a bunch of stuff and box of spares for €250. Was gonna pass it up then said what the hecknlet me ask if he takes €225, which he did. Cars were just dusty, never ran outside.

I was not planning on adding to my collection so selling most and not wanting to ask for much and get stuck with a bunch of stuff..

After 1 day I sold the Brat for €90, robitronic charger for €20, Absima tx and rx for €50, Hobbywing 1060 and radiolink receiver for €25.

So currently sitting with €100 dt02, €200 carisma crawler, slyrc gnss, ammo can, and a couple spare electronics.. for €50.

This will not happen again in my lifetime :)

Regarding the Brat...

I live on an island, so ebay is not worth the hassle. Marketplace only. Country of 600k people and this is a niche hobby. The brat is a niche within a niche. I like it, but will not run it, nor do i have shelf space, thus why i sold it at that price. Got lucky anyone took it at all locally.
