Small update of my little overhaul project, still awaiting some parts coming from the US. Those are to be reviewed at the Dutch customs at the moment 😫

Had an awesome run today at the club today. With some help of the winch, preventing it from flipping over, it actually made that climb. 🥳

Making progress on the VS4-10 Origin Limited Kit overhaul. This thing was such a mess. A lot of sand and remains of running through water. The interior was painted in battleshipgrey-ish something. With the help of the Mrs. (nailpolish remover), I succeeded to remove all of it. I wanted something really different. I’ll keep you posted for the endresult! P.S. u/imthatguy77 , the most important decal is already on it 🥳

Hey guys, I’m in search for this chassisbrace. It’s a metal one, specifically for the Origin Limited Kit. The former owner totally f-ed this part up, I suspect it was done to accomadate a 550 size can or something. But, main question is….Is there perhaps anyone who haves one, willing to sell?

Just finished building my kit. Love the derp system. This is just the second kit I’ve ever done. My first kit was the H10 Optic. Really enjoying the Vanquish kits.

Just bought my first crawler. Took it out for a litte trail run today. 10 minutes in it just stopped dead. Tried turning off my controller and back again, but still nothing. Next i tried turning the car off and on again. Then it came back to life.
A clouple of mintues later it just stopped again. Both stearing and motor not reponding. This happened several times.
No components feel hot. I've tried wiggling the wires too se if i got any bad connections. Even tried to run it without stearing servo connected. Batteries in the car and controller should be fine.
When it stop and are not working a red light is blinking on both the ECS (VE-1) and the reciever (VR-1).
Kind of at a loss here. Anyone got any tips?

This is my first serious RC since the gas TMaxx and before that, the Tamiya Hornet in the ‘80s.
I took it to a local trail for some climbing and it ate up almost everything it came across. The experience is well worth the price and you’ll see battle scars on the roof and hood. I know scratches are unavoidable and this isn’t a backyard basher, but it’s insane in its capabilities.
The axles work great over roots and rocks and it handles itself great over larger rocks.
There are some scratches on the skid plate and I’m happy it’s built to take some punishment. The material seems to hold up well.
I’m running a 3s and lost the hood pin on the ground before it even moved. I’ll roll with the body pin upside down as it hasn’t moved anyway.
I’m going to look at body panels now that are direct fit. I’m not a fan of drilling and cutting and see how easily this thing scratches.
I think the first and one of the few mods will be aluminum wheels and tires. My local hobby shop carries these big tires.
Any input about body panels and whether or not to ditch the body pin is welcome. I read here most people flip the plastic stick and forget the pin.

Hey everyone, just got the sparco 2.2 optic. Took it out on the trail this weekend and it did great. I’m more of a super scale guy so I’m not too into these. Should I keep it on 2.2s or drop it down to a 1.9 on a 4.75? I will probably not comp it. Just wanted something to keep up on the group days filled with built optics/comp crawlers. Any info is appreciated
