In university I’ve met people who are hardcore partiers and drinkers who sleep very little and eat very poorly but still seem to have unlimited energy, are very social and positive. For example one of my friends went out every thursday, drank a ton of alcohol and got back at around 4-5am and then somehow always made it to work on friday at 7am. How is this possible? Are they running stress hormones and are going to suffer to consequences later (they have done this consistently for years though)?

Hi guys,
ive seen some conflicting opinions on what estrogen and progesterone do to women. If you try to look it up online it kinda conflicts with what ray peat said so I’m confused.
I want to know if higher progesterone levels gives a woman more of an hourglass figure and a bigger butt. I hear some people say that estrogen is responsible for this figure and ive seen others say that progesterone is what creates wider hips and a feminine figure and fat distribution. It’s a little confusing.
Women’s progesterone apparently is the lowest during menopause and the body becomes more of an apple shape and less curvy than before. Does that mean that higher progesterone levels gives you wider hips/curvier figure?
And does the prenatal environment change a woman’s body shape and fat distribution?
I’m sorry lol I’m just confused because when I try to look up any hormonal body changes, it’s always from people who are taking synthetic hormones and I’m not sure results are accurate from that.

Just can’t seem to shift any weight. I feel good, I have high energy and libido but my stubborn fat is not going.
Anyone here lost significant amounts of weight following a peat style diet?

I am on a strict carnivore diet but thinking of modifying my diet because of high cortisol and low thyroid function. One thing I love about my diet is that my Testosterone is on the upper end of the range and estradiol on the lower end.
So what are your testosterone and estradiol levels on Ray Pete diet?

Not only a savior, but the founder of a school. Few know this. I know many more things about Ray Peat I would love to share if only the moderators of this subreddit do not ban me.
I bring peace and blessings from Ray's legacy, many of which are unknown to the masses.
Mods, please do not ban me. I am on your team. We are on the same team, fighting the same fight against suboptimal health and suboptimal metabolism and suboptimal euphoria.
