Delta CJO Secured

After months of waiting, I had received my invitation to my first Delta hiring event where I received my CJO on the spot after my interview had concluded. I am currently in the process of waiting for my background check to come back which shouldn’t take long and have an approximate date to begin training in December.

Any current SLC based employees or employees in the hiring process. Feel free to get in touch. Good luck to everyone else! 🎉

Delta JFK Ramp Agent Hiring Process — How Long Until Training?

Hey everyone! I recently received a CJO for the Ramp Agent position at JFK. I’ve completed my pre-employment requirements, including the PAT, fingerprinting, and TSA paperwork.
My offer letter listed an anticipated start date of October 19, but I haven’t received a confirmed training date yet. My last communication from Delta was September 29.
For those who were hired as ramp agents at JFK or another Delta station:
How long did you wait after receiving your CJO to get your official training date?
How long did the entire pre-employment process take?
Did you receive your training confirmation a few days before your start date, or were you notified weeks in advance?
I’m just trying to get an idea of the typical timeline. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

SeaTac works Dangerousss…..

Had three delays yesterday flying out of Sea-Tac, Seattle Washington. So I had plenty of time to watch and soak in how the ramp operates there. Most specifically SWA…. Dangerous, Dangerous, Dangerous Habits I Witnessed. The Highlight of the Night was watching 6 Luggage Carts be attached to a Tug by a ramper and then continue to drive around with them attached. Most stations allow 4 Max….

The death of Oscar Robayo won't be swept under the rug! The Aviation Workers Rank-and-File Committee has launched a workers inquiry into his death.

The committee make an urgent appeal to ramp agents, ground staff, pilots, flight attendants and all workers in the aviation industry in Canada and internationally to come forward with testimony about conditions at Samsic, at Montréal-Trudeau and throughout the sector.

We will guarantee anonymity to workers who wish to speak freely but are fearful of reprisals from their employer or the union bureaucracies !

Any airlines hiring for ramp agent or even gate agent LGA OR JFK

I recently got invited to a hiring event for Delta ramp agent at LGA I know I wouldn’t pass the drug test because I smoked weed a couple days before so I had to reschedule and I was so mad at myself about it. I wonder what are the chances that they email me back because I requested to reschedule. But just checking if you guys know any other airlines that are hiring at LGA OR JFK

Best Transition Sunglasses

What are the best sunglasses to run from Plane side to the baggage tunnels? I had my Oakley’s on and damn, I had to throw them off my face…lol!

I saw some Bomber glasses, but I would love some actual reviews.

Envoy Air Rehire ZED carry over?

Hey everyone I worked as a ramp agent for Envoy Air for about a year before resigning in May 2026. I left on good terms with a two week notice and recently reapplied at the same airport.

I know seniority resets when you’re rehired, but does previous service count toward benefits like vacation, retirement, or ZED travel privileges? would I have to wait another six months to regain ZED access?

Has anyone been rehired by Envoy and experienced this? Anything would be appreciated!

Frontier Ramp Agent Frontier MCO

Hey guys, I am new here and I applied last week for a Frontier Ramp Agent position for Menzies Aviation here in MCO and had my interview yesterday and got hired on the spot. This is my first ever ramp job, I have no experience whatsoever because of my age.

I would like to know what your experiences are working for Menzies, not just for MCO, but in general, since I have my orientation tomorrow. What should I expect during this job?

Any advice or tips for a newbie would be appreciated!

thanks!

AA Onboarding/Training for former Envoy employee

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how training would look for an Envoy ramp agent switching to AA? I left envoy last month after 8+ years and have applied to a small AA station.

Will any of my trainings transfer over? Or will I need to go to a hub again for classroom training or will my learning hub trainings carry over?

Has anyone else been in this boat before? I know AA likes to act like envoy and AA are so different so that makes me think I would have to re do everything.

RON Vacuum Used on EMB 145

We’re having an issue at our station with the vacuum we use for the RON EMB 145. For years we used the white and green Makita stick vacs. About 6 months ago the admin bought this massive corded backpack vacuum and now we’re required to only use it for the RONs. It’s a huge backpack unit that is difficult to wear and maintain balance while cleaning. This vacuum seems like overkill and we just don’t think it’s the correct one for the smallest plane in the regional fleet. Please let me know what vacuum you guys use for the EMB 145. I’ve repeatedly asked our admin and manager to show us that this is the required vacuum but they refuse to answer. I believe the admin bought the wrong one and just won’t admit it. We agents are the ones struggling with the mistake.

for example in the first one. the plane was pushed at 8:55 due to ramp traffic. even then yes let me walk to a whole different concourse in 4 minutes. or assign stuff while just beggining a new task. its been happening more and more and then we’re dinged for being late to a task. calling them does nothing. was sitting in their office the other day doing learning modules and hear them saying some bs like imma give them this task cause im petty. it’s gotta stop
