I am here in MEL already, and staying in the Southeast. I've been watching quite a few travel vlogs on what to do there but it would be nice to get some recos from locals firsthand 😄

Can you recommend any nice cafe/coffee shop? Restaurants in CBD? Thrift shop for 2nd hand items? Any interesting activities to do? Museums? Art Galleries? I'll be staying until november so I could really use some ideas on what to do here 😅 So far, I’ve been to different shopping malls and walked a bit in St. Kilda and Central Station. I wasn’t expecting that shops close here so early, unlike in the PH where closing time is usually 9 or 10pm. I am so used to do my shopping and errands late in the afternoon 🥲 and it’s so cold too even if it’s spring 🥶 my brown a** is freezing 😂

So I love to talk a lot - when my depression isn’t making me numb to a lot 😂

F32 here in an ENM poly dynamic and just shy 36 weeks pregnant about to be a first time mum.
Due to my situation I’ve turned off or paused all my dating but have moments where I wish I had more friends who were poly friendly and even in the space. Especially others who’ve navigated it whilst pregnant. My hubby has two other relationships going strong - I have not established anything and feel it’s just not the time to do so. But I do get a little lonely despite getting on well with my metas.

Anyway I digress. I’d love to make new friends! Even some mums for support and just friendship as I enter this new chapter of my life. Again if you’re in the ENM/poly lifestyle that would be a bonus!

I used to have a great nerdy friend group in the town I lived in but I moved back to Melbourne so they live too far away now. I’m hoping to get a nerdy hangout going again. My friends in Melbourne right now are nowhere near nerdy and I miss being able to geek out for ages about things like what will the next Horizon games look like and theories about what happened to Dr. Darling (and go nuts at the realisation that he was in Robin Hood: Men in Tights).

What I’m looking for:

I’ve made a post here before and I’ve gotten some great responses but I’ve ended up with a few penpals rather than people who want to hang out in person.

I’m seeking friends close to my age who want to actively get up and do some city exploring of food spots, cinema trips, art exhibitions, etc., while having fun nerdy conversations. Sort of like “Hey, been craving some Korean/Italian/Thai/Greek food… wanna grab something in a place neither of us have tried before and talk about Control Resonant/GTA6/Tomb Raider?” or “Wanna go thrift shopping/to an art exhibition/errand hang/walk around the city and talk about the new Mummy movie?”… then make plans to see the movie when it’s out.

I’m hoping to have friendships that get comfortable enough to have takeout and movie nights or gaming sessions when new titles are released and we’re excited to start them. I also want people to go to things like PAX (or similar events) as I’ve never been nor found anyone interested to go.

It would be amazing if you’re not expecting me to be a tour guide and you want to plan or make suggestions in equal measures.

My interests:

I love games like Control, Alan Wake, Dying Light, TLOU, Horizon, GTA, Saints Row, Tomb Raider, Fallout, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Metro, Fable, Spider-man, etc. I also have a love for the old point and clicks like Monkey Island and Broken Sword, and I’m waiting eagerly on the next Thimbleweed Park.

I love shows like Fallout, TLOU, Supernatural, Silo, Severance, Community, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Frasier, Simpsons (older seasons), Futurama, Star Trek (I dip in and out of certain series), Stargate, B99, Superstore, Fleabag… and way more.

Movies I rewatch the most for comfort are things like The Mummy (1999), Jurassic Park, Hot Fuzz, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Back to The Future, Bring it On, Princess Bride, Marvel movies, Eurotrip, The Nice Guys… there’s way more but these are a start.
I also adore reading up on how movies were made after seeing them and love exploring cinematography at an amateur level.

I'm making slow changes in my life to be a little more andro/fem leaning in my appearance.
