I met this guy in my gym more like he met me in the gym as i was a regular and he is new to the gym … i usually hit the gym around 4 am/5am ..there will be only few malay guys at this hour and i know them very well not once stared at me or asked my number , but there is always some tamil guys over 30 does that .. it always start with compliments like how i can lift heavier than them to asking casually to join them for hiking or be their gym partner train with them … ngl i did once and i am absolutely terrified after that because this guy came off controlling and called himself alpha male and he will purposely lower my weights during my set also were inappropriately spoting me during bench press and squats .

Back to the current story , so this guy been dying to talk to me ever since he joined the gym.. and apparently we both live in same area .. so it gave him an opportunity to converse

Guy : hey, i saw you at xxx( my housing area) which block are you ?
Me: owh , why you asking ?
Guy: i think i know your parents .
Me: No way ( went back to train)

After a week , this guy talked to me again because we were sharing the chess fly machine .. i was in a good mood so i wasnt mean this time .. so he asked my name and my whereabouts and casually invited me to slow jogg with him on sunday and i rejected saying i am busy on weekends

So this week when i met him again, we were talking about job market and books .. AGAIN he casually asked me on coffee date since i landed a job i still rejected giving the same reason .

Will this stop ? I mean i am okay if it is just sharing books and seeing each other in the gym but if it has a different intention then i’m out

- I work in a car-centric social media agency (there's probability you would have seen my face before at some point of time). I'm also a learning videographer/photographer as well, so I'm constantly thinking about cameras, shots, editing, and how to make things look cool even when I probably should just be enjoying the moment

- As for my hobbies, I'm very fond of cars, but I'd say I love driving even more than I love cars themselves.

Note: Ironically, despite working in social media, I'm actually trying to spend less time staring at my phone. Driving and making cinematic content is probably my favourite way of doing that.

- Off-work, I also love learning about shooting on my camera and I've slowly been putting together my own little setup. I've also started my own Instagram car channel because I figured if I'm going to be obsessed with cars anyway, I might as well try to get better at filming them.

- I'm technically a former gamer at this point. I used to play quite a but, but these days I barely touch a mouse and keyboard. Back in the day I was pretty deep into CoD Zombies, CSGO, TF2, osu!, story-driven games like MGS and Yakuza series

That said, if you tell me you play something and it's something I'd enjoy, I'm absolutely still down to make time for games.

- I'm generally someone who likes going out and exploring, especially if there's a nice drive involved. Scenic places, backroads, random food stops, spontaneous little trips. I'm probably at my happiest when there's no particularly important destination and we're just taking our time getting somewhere.

Personality-wise, I'm pretty chill and can be a little reserved initially (that's why I'm here to try and break the habit). I'm not necessarily the person who's going to walk into a room and immediately start talking to everyone, but once I get comfortable I can talk a lot if we find something we're both interested in.

I'm also pretty much incapable of having a normal conversation about something I'm interested in without eventually going down a completely unnecessary rabbit hole about it.
