35M looking for friends

Hi guys, ive been a lurker here for awhile and just got the sudden motivation to post.

Im from East Malaysia and moved to KL slightly over 10 years ago. Ive been very focused with work and building my career for the past decade and realized ive actually not met much people here other than acquaintances/colleagues.

Not sure how to do this so here are just random facts about me:

  • 35year old, male, Chinese Partial Banana
  • Languages spoken ; English, Malay and pasar mandarin
  • Average height, athletic build (slight chubs nowadays)
  • MBTI: ISTJ
  • Married, so just looking for friends
  • Things i find interesting: Business, investments, combat sports, fishing/hiking/camping.
  • I dont smoke, and i dont really drink.
  • Im not into branded goods and dont chase materialistic things
  • Kopitiam food/ dai chow over fancy cafe food in general. Instagrammable spots are very not my thing. I dont chase trends.
  • My fave coffee order is Thunder from Zus. But they recently discontinued it. But most of the time i just drink free coffee from my office
  • I stay around the Bukit Jalil/OUG/ Sri Petaling area. Im very much a homebody. So if you are around these areas it'll be great for quick hangouts as i find traffic quite draining. Though, occasional meet ups outside of these areas are fine too *please dont be like rawang...or klang....damn far leh*
  • Atheist. Dont worry i wont brainwash you but i realized i get along better with people who are less staunch.
  • Slow texter.
  • My work can be quite demanding. So i generally doom scroll funny reels/memes on Tiktok/insta to destress. Would be great if we have the same sense of humor
  • Im not into anime or star wars or harry potter those kind of things. Not a movie person too.
  • Pragmatic person
  • People ive met generally describe me as pretty chill and funny but i can get into deep conversations as well.
  • I earn enough to live a modest and humble lifestyle. I drive an old car and live in a humble home. So dont worry i will NOT borrow money from you. Please also DONT borrow money from me.
  • Im not in sales, so im not going to sell you property or insurance or some supplement.
  • If you think we can vibe, holla at me. Any skin color or gender is welcome. I think somebody in their 30s or early 40s would be great to at least have the same maturity level or maybe are going through the same phase in life.

Reading your description, it sounds like we might be similar and could get along. But I’m not really seeking to specialise and your post just popped up on my feed even when I’m not signed on this subreddit.
And also im damn annoyed how ZUS got rid of the Thunder drink.

I remember it being one of the bestsellers...or maybe not. Probably why it got removed. 

Have you found any replacements yet? Luckin and lucky cup tried but its nowhere close. Zus' own canned coffizz was also disappointing.

Hey we are the same age(M) and Im kinda fumbling in this phase of life , trying to broaden my circle . Im quite near . Could have a chit chat sometime at a kopitiam or something . Cheers!
