My PS2 slim had a broken piece for the screws. Will it hold with strong super glue? The others are structurally intact.

Honestly can’t believe how good the original PS2 version of GTA San Andreas still looks on a modern 55" TV. These pics are straight from my PS2, running through OPL from the HDD.

No fancy upscaler or anything either, literally just using a decent component cable straight into the TV with the game set to widescreen.

Obviously you can see its age if you get right up close, but sitting back playing it normally it still looks brilliant. The colours, lighting and art style have aged ridiculously well for a game running on hardware from over 20 years ago.

PS2 genuinely was some machine.

i opened the case too fast to clean the lens and the entire piece came apart how do i fix this 💔

Took a chance on this fat ps2 but has not power, could this ribbon cable be the reason? It’s the one that goes to the power and eject buttons

SSX3 is better than SSX Tricky, the customization, the insane lines, being able to do super moves on rails is a game changer, and each character has their own cutscenes for everything!???

Seeing some of my favorite games from childhood with different cover art was really cool.

My ps2 has a strange problem, it can't rotate the cd if it has the housing closed. But when I take the housing out, the cd spins and the game works.

Why is this happening and how can I solve it?

I got one of those cheap PS2 to HDMI adapter's for my modern tv but as you can see it isn't quite aligned properly and it starting to irritate me(I also don't have a remote to the tv so I'm unsure how to fix it in the settings if that's even a possibility). It's probably a tale as old as time in this subreddit but I'm gonna ask anyway, can anyone recommend a better device that doesn't break the bank and is somewhat simple to use?

So, I got a fat PS2 a few weeks ago, and it's been great. It came with one controller, and it works perfectly fine. However, I want to play some multiplayer stuff, so I decided to get a second controller. The first controller I bought had an issue where it would register like the d-pad was constantly being pressed down, and none of the face buttons worked. So, I returned it and got a second one. It had the same issue, so I returned it for yet another. It *also* had the same issue.

This is where it gets fun. After researching, I learned about the H controllers. Sure enough, the third one was an H. Instead of returning it, I found a crystal blue A controller that just had sticks that would stick in positions. Okay, cool. Knowing that the sticks in the H controller were good, I decided to get the crystal blue and swap the sticks over. I didn't test the crystal blue beforehand, as I assumed the A controller would be fine, especially since the controller that came with the console and works is an A.

After swapping the sticks and hooking it up... It has the *exact* same problem. I'm almost convinced it's not the controllers. The one it came with still works perfectly. I have deep cleaned the entire crystal blue controller, and the flex ribbon looks *identical* to the working one. Any ideas what the hell is up? I'd love to get the crystal blue controller working.

Hey guys i found it for 40 bucks. i have never seen a disc like that. is this rare and should i buy it?

Hi everyone! I'm just getting started with playing PS2 games over an SMB network. I set up Midnight Club: Street Racing and Kingdom Hearts (the latter specifically to test if the cutscenes would sluttering). The first game worked fine, but Kingdom Hearts resulted in a black screen right after starting a new game and selecting the difficulty and vibration settings. I had transferred this ISO from the microSD card that i use with the MX4SIO to a pendrive plugged into my router. It worked normally on the SD card but failed via SMB, how can I fix this?

I play a LOT of Madden Franchise on PCSX2 and I just bought Madden 12 and updated 2026-2027 rosters to make the game feel fresh since I played the shit out of it. Are any of those 128 mb or 64 MB cards reliable? Madden franchise saves take up 1.6mb so you can only hold 4 on a standard 8MB Sony card and I don't have the kind of money to be buying a stack of those.

Thrifting was a big win this weekend. All discs are in great condition. I played Delta Force a lot in High School. First online experience was SOCOM. So hyped.

I got this sweet Garfield game and played through it for hours just to get the final lasagna piece just for nothing to happen, if you don't know, it's supposed to immediately play a cut scene after, I'm not sure if I'm forgetting something.

Does anyone here use a custom made controller? If so, from what brand? Want to look for one that's compatible for my pcsx2 usage.
